Microstructural evolution of Inconel 625 and Inconel 686CPT weld metal for clad carbon steel linepipe joints : a comparator study
Microstructural evolution of Inconel 625 and Inconel 686CPT filler metals, used for the fusion welding of clad carbon steel linepipe, has been investigated and compared. The effects of iron dilution from the linepipe parent material on the elemental segregation potential of the filler metal chemistry has been considered. The results obtained suggest that, in Inconel 686CPT weld metal, the segregation of tungsten is a function of the level of iron dilution from the parent material. The data presented suggest that the incoherent phase precipitated in the Inconel 686CPT weld metal has a morphology that is dependent on tungsten enrichment and, therefore, iron dilution. Furthermore, in the same weld metal a continuous network of finer precipitates was observed. The Charpy impact toughness of each filler metal was evaluated and the results highlighted the superior impact toughness of the Inconel 625 weld metal over that of Inconel 686CPT

Constantin Zuckerman, He radius in 625. — Comparing the evidence of the Ps. -Sebeos with that of Theophanes, the author revises the itinerary of Heraclius and the chronology of his battles during the key years of the Persian campaign (625-626). One year's campaign in Theophanes, A. M. 61 15, is reduced to two months of hostilities during the winter of 625, and the events described in A. M. 61 16 to the following two months. Zuckerman Constantin. Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
Failure Analysis of Inconel 625 components
This thesis work is focused on Nickel and its alloys, in particular on Inconel alloy 625 and two components made up with this material that have been object of complete failure analysis.
The first chapter is about an introduction into Nickel world, it is recalled the main properties, applications and advantages of using this material and its alloys.
It is also presented the main elements of Nickel metallurgy.
The second chapter is focused on Inconel 625 alloy: from a quite general overview of this material, we go through a deepen study on solidification behaviors and solidification phases.
In chapter 3 it is presented the first case study of a component (bushings) made up with Inconel 625 that undergo failure analysis.
All passages of failure analysis are here showed and described, often tagged along with images, which are the most important tool in failure analysis.
In chapter 4 it is presented the second and last case study of failure analysis.
The procedure that has been followed is the same of the previous case; also, in this case the focus is on the images that give the most important information in failure analysis.
The approach of this thesis changes from chapter 1 and 2 to chapter 3 and 4.
The first 2 chapters are mainly theoretical and are necessary to master the basis in Nickel and Inconel 625 field, while the last 2 chapters are more practical, no theory is recalled, and it is described the procedure of failure analysis and attempts to improve the response of the material, with explanations and comments
