Implicações da certificação pela NP 4427:2004 na função recursos humanos
Este estudo tem como principal objetivo compreender as mudanças na função recursos humanos após a certificação do sistema de gestão de recursos humanos de uma empresa no âmbito da Norma Portuguesa 4427:2004 – “Sistemas de gestão de recursos humanos – requisitos”. Neste sentido, foi realizada uma abordagem teórica à evolução da função recursos humanos, apresentada a NP
4427:2004 e a contextualização teórica e normativa das práticas de gestão de recursos humanos desenvolvidas nesse âmbito.
De forma a dar resposta à questão de pesquisa foi utilizada uma metodologia qualitativa, com recurso ao estudo de caso único numa empresa portuguesa certificada no âmbito da NP 4427:2004. No processo de recolha de dados recorremos à análise documental e à realização de entrevistas aos treze colaboradores vinculados à empresa desde data anterior à certificação.
Os resultados sugerem mudanças ao nível da atuação da gestão de recursos humanos na empresa que, com a implementação e certificação pela NP 4427:2004, se tornou mais estratégica e dinamizadora de práticas de recursos humanos sistematizadas e preocupadas com o desenvolvimento das pessoas.
Depois de apresentados e discutidos os resultados, o estudo apresenta também sugestões de pesquisa futura sobre o tema da NP 4427:2004 e contributos práticos da investigação para a empresa objeto de estudo.This study aims to understand the changes in the human resources function after the certification of human resource management system of a company under the Portuguese Standard 4427:2004 – “Sistemas de gestão de recursos humanos – requisitos”. In this sense, a theoretical approach was made to the evolution of the human resources function, presented in the NP 4427:2004 and the theoretical context and rules of human resource management practices developed thereunder.
In order to respond to the research question a qualitative methodology was used using the single case study in a Portuguese company certified under the NP 4427:2004. In the data collection process we use to document analysis and interviews to thirteen employees linked to the company from a date prior to
certification.
The results suggest changes in terms of performance of human resource management in the company, with the implementation and certification by NP 4427:2004 became more strategic and proactive human resource practices systematized and concerned about the development of people.
After presenting and discussed the results, the study also presents research suggestions for the future about the subject NP 4427:2004 and practical contributions of the investigation for the company that was object of this study

Este estudo tem como objetivo determinar o papel que a certificação pela Norma Portuguesa
4427:2004 – “Sistemas de Gestão de Recursos Humanos – requisitos” (NP 4427:2004) assume
no desenvolvimento das práticas de Gestão de Recursos Humanos. Neste sentido, foi realizada
uma abordagem teórica à evolução temporal e conceptual da Gestão de Recursos Humanos e
identificadas as melhores práticas que reconhecem nas pessoas um indispensável e estratégico
ativo organizacional. Posteriormente é apresentada a NP 4427:2004 e o seu enquadramento
no contexto organizacional português. Apresentando-se como uma temática moderna no
âmbito da Gestão de Recursos Humanos, o presente estudo questiona se as empresas
certificadas pela NP 4427:2004 promovem práticas de Recursos Humanos estratégicas, se o
grau de intervenção destes Departamentos, no desenvolvimento das práticas, é maior nas
empresas certificadas pela NP 4427:2004, e se os responsáveis destes setores possuem
qualificação específica na área de Recursos Humanos. A um universo de 95 empresas foi
aplicado um inquérito por questionário, que permitiu concluir que as organizações certificadas
pela NP 4427:2004 promovem práticas de Recursos Humanos estratégicas e envolvem
Departamentos de Recursos Humanos com elevado grau de intervenção no desenvolvimento
das mesmas, sendo que os seus Responsáveis não possuem formação específica na área dos
Recursos Humanos.This study aims to determine the role that certification by the Portuguese Standard 4427:2004
– "Human Resource Management Systems – requirements" (PS 4427:2004) assumes in the
development of the practices of Human Resource Management. In this sense, was made a
theoretical approach of the temporal and conceptual evolution of Human Resource
Management and identified the best practices that recognize people as a vital and strategic
organizational asset. Subsequently is presented the PS 4427:2004 and its framework in
portuguese organizational context. Presenting itself as a modern theme within the Human
Resource Management, this study questions whether PS 4427:2004 certified companies
promote strategic Human Resources practices, if the degree of intervention of these
Departments in the development of practices is greater in certified companies by the PS
4427:2004 and if the leaders of these sectors have specific qualification in Human Resources.
On a universe of 95 companies was applied a questionnaire survey, which showed that
certified organizations by the PS 4427:2004 promote strategic HR practices and involve Human
Resource Departments with a high degree of intervention in the development of that practices, and the Responsible do not have specific training in the area of Human Resources

Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
Variations on the Author
“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
We provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature.
