    Preliminary study for a novel fitness index based on non-invasive assessment of cardiac reserve using electrical admittance cardiography

    健診レベルで適用可能な健康寿命延伸のための新たな簡易健康指標を見出すべく,無侵襲心拍出量計測装置を用いて3種類(一定・多段階増加・Ramp)のエルゴメータ負荷に対する循環機能の応答を計測し,運動者と非運動者の違いを検討した.その結果, Ramp負荷に対する「最大心拍数に対する心拍数の割合(% HRmax)と「規格化一回拍出量(nSV)」の関係から心予備力を心機能の二つの側面、即ち変時作用(Chronotropic state : CS)と変力作用(Inotropic state : IS)の側面から定量評価可能と考えられた.また呼気ガス分析装置との同時計測実験の結果、負荷強度に対するnSVの変曲点と嫌気的代謝閾値: ATとの間に相関が見られ、ATの代替指標としてのnSVの有用性を示唆する結果が得られた.To develop a novel index for assessing individual physical fitness condition, preliminary experiments for non-invasively monitoring hemodynamic parameters were carried out. Using an electrical admittance cardiograph, heart rate(HR), stroke volume(SV) and cardiac output(CO) during ergometer exercise were non-invasively measured in twelve(6 trained and 6 untrained) healthy male adults.     Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis

    The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed.     糖尿病予防を主目的とした家庭用の便器内蔵型の光学式尿成分自動計測システムの具現化を最終目標とし,近赤外吸収スペクトル法とケモメトリクス法を併用することで尿中のグルコース及び尿素の濃度予測が可能であることを確認した。さらにフロースルー型セルとバントバスフィルタから成る簡易分光システムを構築し、上記2成分に加え塩化ナトリウムの濃度予測可能であることを確認するとともに、これら知見を基に便器内蔵型のプロトタイプシステムを開発した。Aiming to develop an optical system installed in toilet for monitoring urine substances for home healthcare use, a new technique using near infrared spectroscopy in conjunction with the chemometric method was designed and evaluated. Also developed was a conventional spectroscopy system using a flow through cell and optical band-pass filters(BPF).     “Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship

    1. 生体情報の宅宅収集壮置の試作: 既に開発済みの心拍出量と血圧の無拘束同時計測システムに被測定者の姿勢状態を記録する簡易行動シナリオ計測を組み合わせたシステム(生体情報の在宅収集装置)を試作した。姿勢計測の角度分解能は約3゚、測定間隔は0.1,0.2,0.5秒で静止画表示・アニメーション表示・ヒストグラム解析などのが可能である。循環生理情報に関しては血圧・心拍出量と共に末梢循環抵抗、心拍数、一回拍出量が演算処理され24時間分のデータがトレンド表示される。健常成人を対象としたフィールド試用の結果、無拘束下で得られた循環動態の24時間計測値と被験者の各種行動・姿勢変化との詳細な対応付が可能であることが確認された。 2. スペクトル析による循環生理機能の日内変動の解析: 健常成人を対象に1日目は通常の日常生活、2日目は終日ベッド安静という条件下で連続48時間の無拘束循環生理機能計測実験を行い、日常生活における行動様式が各パラメータに及ぼす影響を検討した。その結果、各パラメータともに概ね12時間及び24時間を主な周期とする日内変動が存在し、行動様式の違いは12時間周期に対してはあまり影響を及ぼさないものの概日周期に対しては大きく影響することが確認された。 3. 高齢者を対象とした日常生活下における姿勢解析: 生活環境の異なる高齢者を対象とし日中約10時間の無拘束姿勢計測を行った。対象者は年齢71〜83歳の女性8名で、日常生活下における行動や活動性というものが客観的に評価可能であることが確認されるとともに、生活環境の違い、すなわち在宅か施設や病院で生活しているか、さらには同じ在宅でも単身か家族と同居かといった違いで、日常取る姿勢の種類や頻度、活動性に大きな差が見られることが客観的に示された。これらの結果から、何らかの障害を持つ高齢者の治療に際して「寝たきり」状態を惹起させないためには、障害の快復状況に応じて患者の生活環境をも考慮すべきであることが確認され、機能面の評価に加え、生活スタイル、生活信条をも把握したリハビリテーションプログラムの必要性が示された。In this project, a prototype system for ambulatory monitoring of cardiovascular parameters together with human postures was devised and applied for assessing activity of elderly in daily life. The system consisted mainly of two parts ; one is for noninvasively measuring blood pressure (BP) and cardiac output (CO) based on volume oscillometric and transthoracic electrical admittance method, respectively. The other is for ambulatory human posture monitor using electromagnetic inclinometers. Through the system performance tests using healthy subjects, it was confirmed that the device was capable of monitoring diurnal haemodynamic change in daily life together with detailed posture change in the subject. Using this system, two main subjects were investigated ; one is effect of daily activity on diurnal change in cardiovascular parameters and the other is quantitative assessment of daily activity in elderly. To evaluate effect of daily activity on circadian fluctuation of the parameters, exp eriments for 48-hour *mbulatory monitoring were carried out using 8 healthy subjects (5 males and 3 females). On the first day of the experiment, the subjects were under normal daily activity, while on the second day, they were under bed rest with bathroom privileges. From the results obtained, it was demonstrated that circadian fluctuations were observed not only in BP, but also in. CO and other parameters such as peripheral resistance, and these fluctuations were also observed even in the second day, suggesting not only physical activity but also mental and psychological stress could be a cause of the circadian fluctuations. To analyze daily posture change of elderly, experiments of 10-hours' monitoring of posture under Daily life were performed using 8 female subjects aged from 71 to 83. From the data obtained by histogram and animation data analysis, it was clearly demonstrated that the living condition such as, in hospital, in facility of health care services, in home with or without family, strongly affect the subject's posture change and activity, e.g., those of the subjects in hospital were significantly lower than the others, and those of the subjects in home with family were lower than those without family.     Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis

    We provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature.     Development of a local tissue oxygen consumption measurement method base on near-infrared spectroscopy

    近赤外光を用いた無侵襲血中酸素飽和度計測法(オキシメトリ)として,透過光を用いたパルスオキシメトリ(動脈血酸素飽和度(SaO2)計測法)は,既に幅広く利用されており,さらに反射光を用いた方法は,額・胸部といった様々な部位への適用が可能であることから臨床上さらなる活用が期待されている.しかしながら,パルスオキシメトリによって得られる指標は組織に流入する酸素に関してのみであり,組織の活動に関係する酸素消費といった重要な指標を得ることは出来ない. 以上のことをふまえ,ここでは,組織の酸素代謝量(VO2)計測を行うことを目指し,近赤外光を用いた測定法の開発を行った.組織VO2は組織血流量が既知であれば,生理学な基本原理(フィックの原理)の適用から,対象組織に流入した酸素濃度(動脈系)と流出した酸素濃度(静脈系)の差から求めることが可能となる. そこで,SaO2計測には,一般的なパルスオキシメトリの原理(光電容積信号の脈波成分)を使用し,一方,静脈血酸素飽和度(SvO2)計測には,光電容積信号において,基線の変動分が静脈血の容積変動分に対応しているとした方法に基づいて測定法の実現を行った. 結果として,750/830nmの2波長を用いた反射型光電センサを作成し,ヒトにおける実験的評価を行い,理論的に予想した結果と同様の結果を得た.さらに,前腕や,大腿部において静的な運動負荷中の計測が可能であることも実験的に確認された. また,新たに,血中ヘマトクリット値をヘモグロビンの等吸収点を用いた光電容積信号にて計測する方法を開発し,この方法が開発されたことにより,従来のドップラ血流量計測法などが血球成分の変化量のみを計測していたものが,ヘマトクッリト値を用いて換算することにより,血球成分と血漿成分の合計である全血液量の計測が可能となる.今後は,より精度の高い計測法を目指し改善を行う.A dual-wavelength reflectance optical oximeter sensor in combination with a simple photoplethysmographic technique was developed to measure the local tissue oxygen consumption from the simultaneous measurement of the arterio-venous oxygen saturation(SaO2,SvO2) differences, the physiological Fick principle. The performance of the reflectance oximeter was demonstrated in the theoretical simulation of the three-dimensional photon diffusion theory and the experimental study in the human subjects. As the results, the good agreements between theoretical and experimental studies of the oximeter were observed in the range of 70-100% SaO2 and 70-90% SvO2.     Dispelling the Myths Behind First-author Citation Counts

    We conducted a full-scale evaluative citation analysis study of scholars in the XML research field to explore just how different from each other author rankings resulting from different citation counting methods actually are, and to demonstrate the capability of emerging data and tools on the Web in supporting more realistic citation counting methods. Our results contest some common arguments for the continued use of first-author citation counts in the evaluation of scholars, such as high correlations between author rankings by first-author citation counts and other citation counting methods, and high costs of using more realistic citation counting methods that are not well-supported by the ISI databases. It is argued that increasingly available digital full text research papers make it possible for citation analysis studies to go beyond what the ISI databases have directly supported and to employ more sophisticated methods
