Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis

counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
Variations on the Author
Get PDF“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship

La eficacia está en concordancia con el logro de los objetivos y resultados propuestos, por ello, al existir la necesidad de una previa experiencia práctica laboral ante un mercado competitivo, se requiere contar con una adecuada regulación de las modalidades formativas laborales para que se alcance la protección de los derechos de los practicantes. Por lo expuesto, el presente trabajo de investigación se centró en la importancia de la experiencia preprofesional idónea; y se planteó como objetivo general determinar el nivel de eficacia de la Ley N.°28518 sobre las prácticas preprofesionales en las Instituciones Públicas y Privadas, 2021. Además, este estudio es de tipo básico con enfoque cuantitativo de nivel descriptivo simple y con diseño no experimental; se aplicó encuestas en 04 Instituciones Públicas: Poder Judicial, Ministerio Público, Defensa Pública y la Procuraduría Pública Anticorrupción Descentralizada de San Martín fue constituida por 34 alumnos y en las Instituciones Privadas: 10 estudios jurídicos en la cuidad de Tarapoto, constituida por 30 alumnos. Se obtuvo como resultados que la eficacia de las prácticas es media; dado que la ley analizada no cumple eficazmente su objeto para los practicantes preprofesionales en las Instituciones Públicas y Privadas en el año 2021.Effectiveness Level of Law No. 28518 on Pre-professional Internships in Public and Private Institutions, 2021
Effectiveness is in accordance with the achievement of the proposed objectives and results; in response to the need for prior practical work experience in a competitive market, it is necessary to have an adequate regulation of the work training modalities in order to protect the interns’ rights. Therefore, the present research work focused on the importance of suitable pre-professional experience and the general objective was to determine the level of effectiveness of Law No. 28518 on pre-professional internships in public and private institutions, 2021. This is a basic study with a quantitative approach of simple descriptive level and non-experimental design; surveys were applied in 04 Public Institutions: Judicial Power, Public Ministry, Public Defense and the Decentralized Anti-Corruption Public Prosecutor's Office of San Martin, made up of 34 students, and in Private Institutions: 10 law firms in the city of Tarapoto, consisting of 30 students. The results showed that the effectiveness of internships is medium, given that the law analyzed does not effectively fulfill its purpose for pre-professional interns in public and private institutions for the year 2021
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
Get PDFWe provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. El trabajo es de tipo descriptivo analítico, retrospectivo de corte transversal. La población está conformada por 52 internos. Dando como resultado los siguientes valores del 46,2% (24) No conocen la ley y pertenecen a la Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos (UNMSM), el 23,1% (12) no conocen la ley y pertenecen a la Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener (UPNW), del 19,2% (10) si conocen la ley y pertenecen a la UPNW y el 11,5% (6) si conocen la ley y pertenecen a la UNMSM. use of first-author citation counts in the evaluation of scholars, such as high correlations between author rankings by first-author citation counts and other citation
counting methods, and high costs of using more realistic citation counting methods that are not well-supported by the ISI databases. Get PDFLa tesis presentada tiene como objetivo “Demostrar la Implicancia del Incumplimiento de la ley 28518 Modalidades Formativas Laborales en la Rentabilidad de la Empresa Agroensancha SRL -Año 2016”, teniendo por población al contador de la empresa. Para ello se hizo una investigación de los trabajadores que trabajan o hacen prácticas en la empresa y su modalidad de contrato, con el fin de determinar el cumplimiento o incumplimiento de la ley, una vez identificada la implicancia del incumplimiento de la ley se identificó si la propuesta es factible para la empresa y sus trabajadores, y si eso tiene relación con el cumplimiento de la ley. En seguida se Identificó las causas actuales que conllevan a que el practicante no sea considerado en la ley establecida por el estado. Así mismo es preciso mencionar que la información se obtuvo como resultado de la aplicación de la entrevista y a través de la observación directa y análisis documental, herramientas que fueron útiles para la recolección de información y ordenamiento. Por último, para concluir se determinó que la empresa al incumplir con la ley 28518 Modalidades Formativas Laborales, los entes de supervisión le pondrán multas que de manera directa e indirecta afectaría la rentabilidad de la empresa en 1% y2%. Demostrando de esta manera la incidencia que se tendría al incumplir con las normativas del estado, sin mencionar el bajo rendimiento del personal

Note that the objective for the hut study was to evaluate the IRS treatment applications for residual efficacy against Anopheles mosquitoes, including the local An. coluzzii mosquito population. Cows were only used to attract mosquitoes into the huts and no tests were carried out directly on the cows. The author checklist is intended for use with studies where experiments are carried out on animals, which is why we have had such difficulty in completing this for the hut study, as many of the questions do not relate to how the cows were used
