The Optical-Infared Study and Geometric Model of Young Multipolar Planetary nebula -- IRAS 21282+5050
We present high angular resolution Hubble Space Telescope (HST) optical and near-infrared imaging of the famous compact planetary nebula (PN) IRAS 21282+5050. Optical images of this object reveal several complex morphological structures including three pairs of lobes and an elliptical shell lying close to the plane of the sky. From near-infrared observations, we found a dust torus which is oriented nearly perpendicular to the major axis of elliptical shell. The results suggest that IRAS 21282+5050 (IRAS 21282) is indeed a multipolar PN, and these structures developed in the early stage on its evolutionary track. We also constructed this object by a three-dimensional (3D) model and determined the dimensions of these intrinsic structures. Assuming these lobes are shaped by wind interactions, the presence of these geometric structures has been suggested as the result of multiple phases of fast winds with temporal and directional variations. Based on the visualization of 3D model of this object viewed from different orientations, the appearance of IRAS 21282 shows similar intrinsic structures as other multipolar PNs
Photometry and imaging of the peculiar planetary nebula IRAS 21282+5050
We report visible, near-infrared, and mid-infrared photometry of the IRAS planetary nebula 21282+5050. Narrow-band photometry at 10 μm confirms the presence of the 11.3 μm PAH feature. IRAS 21282+5050 belongs to a small group of planetary nebulae with WC11 nuclei and PAH emission. The spectral energy distribution shows that majority of the flux is emitted in the infrared, and the object has one of the highest infrared excesses among all planetary nebulae. Optical imaging (after subtraction of the central star) reveals a nebula of size of ∼7″ × 5″ which is elongated along the N-S direction.published_or_final_versio
Vulneración del principio de reparación integral en delitos de naturaleza sexual sentencias 21282-2018-00859 Y 21282-2019-00171
El presente artículo científico detalla la problemática, ante los montos de indemnización
desproporcionados impuestos en las sentencias dictadas en las cusas números 21282-2018-
00859, de fecha 15 de marzo del año 2019 y 21282-2019-00171 de fecha 13 de septiembre
del año 2019, dictadas por los mismos miembros que conformaron el Tribunal de Garantías
Penales en la provincia de Sucumbios, en las cuales se vulnera el principio de reparación
integral. El objetivo de la investigación es desarrollar un análisis crítico jurídico en las
sentencias objeto de estudio, con relación a la forma de cuantificar los valores económicos
impuestos como reparación integral a las víctimas, que evidencien la vulneración del
principio de reparación integral en las sentencias.
Para el estudio, el alcance de la investigación es descriptivo y las técnicas utilizadas son: el
análisis documental y bibliográfico, así como la encuesta, aplicada a una muestra de 22
personas involucradas en la problemática, en la provincia de Sucumbios.
Como parte de los resultados se desarrolló un estudio de la base legal que establece la
reparación integral, delito de violación, elementos determinados que deben considerarse al
evaluar el daño en las víctimas.
Se concluye la necesidad de un istrunmento legal que permita determinar una base de
montos económicos sobre los cuales se debería partir, según el daño y la especificidad del
delito, que permita erradicar la vulneración del derecho que tiene la víctima, de ser reparada
de manera proporcional al daño causado
A Young Multipolar Planetary Nebula in the Making : IRAS 21282+5050
We present high-angular-resolution Hub-ble Space Telescope (HST) optical and near-infrared imaging of the compact planetary nebula (PN) IRAS 21282+5050. Optical images of this object reveal several complex morphological structures including three pairs of bipolar lobes and an elliptical shell lying close to the plane of the sky. From near-infrared observations, we found a dust torus oriented nearly perpendicular to the major axis of elliptical shell. The results suggest that IRAS 21282+5050 is a multipolar PN, and these structures developed early during the post asymptotic-giant-branch (AGB) evolution. From a three-dimensional (3-D) model, we derived the physical dimensions of these apparent structures. When the 3-D model is viewed from different orientations, IRAS 21282+5050 shows similar apparent structures as other multipolar PNs. Analysis of the spectral energy distribution and optical spectroscopic observations of the nebula suggests the presence of a cool companion to the hot central star responsible for the ionization of the nebula. Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
Variations on the Author
“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
We provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature.
