Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
Get PDFThe present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
El estrés laboral y acompañamiento pedagógico en la Institución Educativa N.º 14078 de Sechura- Piura- 2020
Get PDFEl trabajo de investigación denominado “Estrés laboral y acompañamiento pedagógico en la Institución Educativa N.º 14078 de Sechura – Piura – 2020”. Se planteó como objetivo principal determinar la relación entre el estrés laboral y el acompañamiento pedagógico en la Institución Educativa N.º 14078 de Sechura- Piura- 2020. Además, siguió una metodología que tiene un enfoque cuantitativo de tipo cuantitativo, así mismo tiene un diseño no experimental. La población se conformó por 40 docentes. Así mismo, para la muestra se trabajó con los mismo 40; ya que se utilizó un muestreo no probabilístico intencional. La técnica utilizada fue la encuesta y el instrumento fue el cuestionario, los cuales se aplicaron a los docentes. Finalmente, los resultados obtenidos mostraron que un gran porcentaje de docentes presentaron un nivel medio de desempeño docente frente a un nivel bueno de la asesoría del acompañamiento pedagógico. Así mismo, se contrastó la hipótesis específica, donde se observó un coeficiente de correlación de Spearman (0.709**), es decir una correlación positiva alta, además se evidenció que si existe una relación significativa entre la asesoría del acompañamiento pedagógico y el estrés laboral
Evaluating the use of EN 14078 for determination of biodiesel in diesel blends sold in the Brazilian market
No full textAbstractIn Brazil, the National Agency of Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels (ANP) is a regulatory agency responsible for monitoring the distribution and sale of fuels. After the introduction of biodiesel in Brazil, problems began to emerge as well as questions regarding the quality of diesel fuel in the country. One of the problems is related to the determination of biodiesel content in the diesel available in fuel stations. This work shows that biodiesel prepared from different feedstock during storage suffers oxidative degradation leading to different oxygenated compounds. The presence of these biodiesel oxidation products affects the accuracy of the result provided by the standard method EN 14078 in relation to the content of biodiesel in diesel. The result showed determination errors of almost 100%. Indeed, a B5 blend after accelerated oxidation was determined using EN 14078 as B10. Another problem observed using EN 14078 was that in countries like Brazil, where different oleaginous or alcohol are used to produce biodiesel, it is mandatory to calibrate the method with the same biodiesel present in diesel blends. Indeed, it was observed important changes in the position of the stretching related to the ester carboxyl group according to the raw materials used to prepare the biofuel, leading to significant errors in the biodiesel content determination

Get PDF“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Calidad de vida en alumnas de primero a quinto grado de secundaria de la institución educativa N° 14078 Sechura - 2019.
Get PDFLa presente investigación tuvo como objetivo identificar la categoría de calidad de vida de las alumnas de primero a quinto grado de secundaria de la I.E N° 14078 Sechura – 2019. La muestra evaluada estuvo conformada por 200 alumnas adolescentes, se empleó una metodología de tipo cuantitativo de nivel descriptivo, teniendo un diseño de estudio no experimental de corte transeccional. Para obtener los resultados de esta investigación se aplicó la escalada de calidad de vida de Olson & Barnes, la cual al ser corregida y habiendo procesado se obtuvo como resultado general que el 01% se ubica en la categoría de Calidad de vida Óptima; el 12% en Tendencia a calidad de vida buena; el 30% en Tendencia a baja calidad de vida y el 57% en Mala calidad de vida. Concluyendo que la calidad de vida de las alumnas de primero a quinto grado de secundaria de la I.E N°14078 Sechura -2019 es mala calidad de vida.Tesi
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
Get PDFWe provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature.
