Bone healing with the adipose-derived regenerative cells in the large bone defect after total en bloc spondylectomy
脊椎腫瘍切除後の動物モデルで、脂肪由来幹細胞を脊椎骨欠損部での再建材料として用い、移植骨の骨形成への関わりを評価した。その結果、移植骨内に占める線維性結合組織面積、新生骨に占める層板骨の割合、骨形成速度の比較検討で、いずれも脂肪由来幹細胞群は対照群と比較して高値となった。移植骨の骨形成は線維性結合組織の増生に始まり、リモデリングを経て骨癒合に至るとされる。脂肪由来幹細胞群では対照群より早期の段階で層板骨が形成され、骨形成を促進させることができると考えられた。We investigated whether adipose derived regenerative cells (ADRCs) promote osteogenesis of the bone graft in total en bloc spondylectomy (TES) animal model. In control group, bone formation area was occupied by woven bone 2 weeks after surgery. In ADRCs group, lamellar bone was shown in a certain proportion 2 weeks after surgery, and the ratio of lamellar bone increased in both groups 4weeks after sugery. The Number of osteoblasts lined up on the osteoid surface tended to be large in ADRCs group. Under fluorescent light, there was few deposition of calcein in control group, in the meanwhile, there were defuse deposition which showed immature lamellar structure in ADRCs group 2 weeks after surgery. The orderly label line was shown that meant mature lamellar structure in both groups 4weeks after surgery. A biomechanical analysis of multi-level reconstruction model for osteoporotic spine –investigation of optimal approach for spinal instrumentation-
No previous studies have employed FE analysis to evaluate long-instrumented spinal fusion for ASD with osteoporosis. We evaluated mechanical stress in long spinal instrumentation among FE models differing with respect to spinal balance, fusion length, and implant type. The spinal balance is anteriorly tilted, the range of fixation is short, and the use of pedicle screws for the upper instrumented vertebra results in greater stresses on the vertebrae and the implants.三次元有限要素解析を用いて骨粗鬆症を伴う成人脊柱変形に対する多椎体脊椎インストゥルメンテーション手術における応力発生について研究した報告はほとんどない。我々は、脊椎バランス、固定範囲、インプラントの種類を変化させた三次元有限解析モデルを作成し、これらの条件の違いにより発生する応力の変化を評価した。脊椎バランスが前傾し、固定範囲が短く、固定上端のインプラントに椎弓根スクリューを使用した場合、椎体やインプラントに生じる応力が大きくなることがわかった。研究課題/領域番号:19K09546, 研究期間(年度):2019-04-01 - 2022-03-31出典:研究課題「広範囲脊椎固定におけるインプラント緩み抑制のための新たな生体材料・固定方法の模索」課題番号19K09546

A biomechanical investigation of the osteoporotic spine with spinal instability-advantage of semi-rigid spinal instrumentation
骨粗鬆症性椎体骨折有限要素モデルを用いて荷重増分法を用いた力学解析を行なった。ロッドの剛性が小さいモデルでは、椎体内の微小破壊を抑制し、応力集中を低下させた。適度な動きを許容する動的ロッドを用いた脊椎固定を行うことで、椎弓根スクリューの緩みや固定隣接椎体骨折などの予防に繋がり、重症骨粗鬆症椎体骨折に対して有用な治療法のひとつになることが示された。The analysis of finite element model was performed using the load increment method with the osteoporotic vertebral body fracture. The model which had smaller rod stiffness showed suppression of microfracture in the vertebral body and reduction of the stress concentration. Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
Variations on the Author
“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
We provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Dispelling the Myths Behind First-author Citation Counts
We conducted a full-scale evaluative citation analysis study of scholars in the XML research field to explore just how different from each other author rankings resulting from different citation counting methods actually are, and to demonstrate the capability of emerging data and tools on the Web in supporting more realistic citation counting methods. Our results contest some common arguments for the continued
use of first-author citation counts in the evaluation of scholars, such as high correlations between author rankings by first-author citation counts and other citation
counting methods, and high costs of using more realistic citation counting methods that are not well-supported by the ISI databases. It is argued that increasingly available digital full text research papers make it possible for citation analysis studies to go beyond what the ISI databases have directly supported and to employ more

We have done our best to complete the author checklist relating to the use of animals in the hut study. Note that the objective for the hut study was to evaluate the IRS treatment applications for residual efficacy against Anopheles mosquitoes, including the local An. coluzzii mosquito population. Cows were only used to attract mosquitoes into the huts and no tests were carried out directly on the cows. The author checklist is intended for use with studies where experiments are carried out on animals, which is why we have had such difficulty in completing this for the hut study, as many of the questions do not relate to how the cows were used
