Reinterpretation of Bambang Sumatri Story in Sujiwo Tejo’s Graphic Novel Serat Tripama: Gugur Cinta di Maespati
No full textThis paper aims to analyze the reinterpret the story of Bambang Sumantri in Sujiwo Tejo’s graphic novel Serat Tripama: Gugur Cinta di Maespati. The meaning of heroism in this novel was reexamined through various doubts, unawareness, and wonder of Bambang Sumantri. The data were collected through reading, observing, and taking notes. The data were analyzed with the semiotic method. The interpretation is done by interpreting changes through looking at the relationship between the signifier and the signified within which the implicit, indirect, and uncertain meanings operate, by interpreting the meanings hiddeng behind the words, phrases, and sentences that are called connotative meanings (second layer) by semiotics. The reinterpretation on this graphic novel shows that in addition to Bambang Sumantri depicted as truly heroic, there are many other “hands” who helped him become a figure and hero. The heroism of Bambang Sumantri is not the center of this book. Instead, there are also other figures who made him a hero. Therefore, the author reinterpreted the heroism of Bambang Sumantri from different point of view.This paper aims to analyze the transformation of Bambang Sumatri in Sujiwo Tejo’s graphic novel Serat Tripama: Gugur Cinta di Maespati. The goal of the study is to discuss the reinterpretation of Wayang (shadow puppet) story into the graphic novel. The story of Bambang Sumantri is one of the three epic stories in Serat Tripama (three role models) written by KGPAA Mangkunegara IV (1809-1881). Serat Tripama is tembang (song) Dandanggula which consists of seven stanzas telling about Bambang Sumantri, Kumbakarna, and Adipati Karna’s heroism which serves as role model for every warrior. Sujiwo Tejo transformed the three of the stories into graphic novels in which Bambang Sumantri is the central character of the first book entitled Serat Tripama: Gugur Cinta di Maespati which was first published in February 2016. The story of Maespati Kingdom’s duke becomes the first of three books as per the order of the tembang: the first and the second stanzas narrate the heroism of Bambang BS, the third and the forth tell about Kumbakarna, the fifth and the sixth tell about Adipati Karna, while the last serves as the conclusion. The transformation in this graphic novel shows that Bambang BS is not always depicted as truly heroic, but also shows many other “hands” which made him the figure and hero. The heroism of Bambang BS is not the center of this book, instead there are also other figures who made him as hero. Get PDFThe purpose of the Author to make this study is to see how much influence independent variables consisting of Participation (X1), Motivation (X2) and Delegation of Authority (X3) To dependent variables namely Performance (Y) Government Apparatus in Batanghari Jambi District. This research is categorized into descriptive quantitative research and samples from this study as many as 104 respondents. Data collection method is Stratified random smpling with the allocation of 2 respondents per strata. From the research that the authors have done, the results of the partial test for the value (X1) t - count 1,734 greater than degan t - table that is 1.66025, (X2) with a value of t - count 0.421 less than the value of t - table is 1.66025, while (X3) the value t - count 1570 is smaller than the value t - table 1.66025. while the results of simultaneous test (Test F) were found to be F - calculated with a value of 4,789 and a value of F - a table with a value of 2.70 because the value of F - count greater F - table, then the author concluded that Participation, Motivation, Delegation of Authority showed a significant and Positive influence on the performance of government apparatus. And from the Results adjusted R Square obtained a value of 0.99, the author concluded the influence of Participation(X1), Motivation(X2), Delegation of authority (X3) to the Performance of Government Apparatus (Y) by 9.9% and 90.1 % influenced by variables that have not been included in this study

This paper will describe the method of assessment of Al-Quran using
Double Movement Interpretation. A new approach that emphasizes on awareness
of the text, context, and contextualization. The historical characteristic of Al-
Qur'an led to the emergence of the idea and theory of hermeneutic (method of
interpretation). This theory became work-effort which is so urgent to be
developed in understanding the meaning of Al-Qur'an as a whole. It is hoped that
the theological and legal ethics parts can be placed in a whole (total) coherent.
Fazlur Rahman criticized that the classical interpretation methods tend to
use the approach in interpreting Al-Qur'an separately, resulting the emergences of
new problems. The interpreters have implemented the appropriate interpretation
of the verse-by-verse chronology in the codex, although sometimes they also refer
to other verses.
Fazlurrahman assumed that the relationship pattern or model of the
revelation built between Al-Qur'an (The Text), God (Allah) is the author, and

Analisis Pemikiran Harun Nasution: Kekuasaan, Kehendak Mutlak Tuhan dan Kebebasan Manusia
Get PDFThis study aims to examine the thoughts brought by Harun Nasution regarding power, God's absolute will and human freedom in an analysis of thought. This is based on Harun Nasution's thoughts which are often the subject of long discussions among thinkers and scholars, one of which is the statement that abandoning rational thought has an impact on the backwardness of Muslims and reason symbolizes human power. His thoughts received various responses from thinkers and scholars, so researchers were interested in examining his thoughts. The author uses qualitative research methods of literature and interpretive analysis, the author tries to collect data then filter and cite various data sources which are then interpreted in order to obtain a valid conclusion. The author's validation method uses method, time and theory triangulation. The results show that Harun Nasution views that God's power and will are limited by rational thinking. God has given freedom to humans according to His Sunnah. God gives freedom to humans to determine what they want so that this human freedom seems to limit the power and will of God. Every moment humans have to choose from several life choices which are essentially still within the scope of God's will.Abstrak: Pemikiran Harun Nasution kerap menjadi bahan diskusi panjang di kalangan pemikir dan cendikiawan, salah satunya adalah pernyataan bahwa keterbelakangan umat Islam adalah dampak dari sikap meninggalkan pemikiran rasionalisme, akal melambangkan kekuasaan manusia. Berangkat dari berbagai macam pemikiran dan respon dari para pemikir dan cendikiawan, maka kami tertarik untuk meneliti salah satu domain pemikiran yang dibawa oleh Harun Nasution terkait kekuasaan, kehendak mutlak Tuhan dan kebebasan manusia dalam sebuah analisis pemikiran. Penelitian ini penulis menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif kepustakaan dan analisis interpretatif, penulis berusaha mengumpulkan data kemudian menyaring dan meneliti serta menukil berbagai data yang kemudian diinterpretasi dala rangkan mendapatkan sebuah kesimpulan yang valid. Metode validasi penulis menggunakan triangulasi metode, waktu dan teori. Harun Nasution memandang bahwa kekuasaan dan kehendak Tuhan dibatasi oleh pemikiran rasional, Tuhan telah memberikan kebebasan kepada manusia sesuai dengan Sunnatullah-Nya. Tuhan memberikan kebebasan kepada manusia untuk menentukan apa yang dikehendakinya. Kebebasan manusia ini dengan sendirinya membatasi kekuasaan dan kehendak Tuhan. Kalau Tuhan tidak membatasi kekuasaan dan kehendak-Nya dalam hal ini, manusia sebenarnya tidak mempunyai kebebasan. Ini bertentangan dengan kenyataan bahwa manusia tiap hari menentukan apa yang dikehendaki dan apa yang diperbuatnya. Tiap saat manusia dihadapkan dengan soal memilih dari beberapa alternatif yang dijumpainya dalam hidup sehari-hari.
