Steering Gear is one of the auxiliary machining systems used for the ship's steering system to keep the operation of the ship running smoothly when the ship moves from the starting point to the end of a port. The writing of this thesis is to “Identify breakage of high pressure pipe steering gear in MT.As Marine Mpat”, thus experiencing a leak in the hydraulic pipe. The problem formulation in this study is what are the impacts and risks that can be caused from hydraulic oil leakage on hydraulic stering gear, and how to deal with the leakage in hydraulic stering gear oil.
The method used by the author is a descriptive research methodology with the Fishbone method and Fault Tree Analysis. Fishbone is used to expose factors that cause breakage in high pressure pipe stering gear. And FTA is to find the root cause and attempt to analyze the problem. Based on the results of research conducted during the sailing practice on the MT. As Marine Mpat by researchers about the causes of leakage in the high pressure hydraulic pipe stering gear such as moisture in the pipe, leakage on the pipe connection and corrosion in the pipe can occur leakage in the hydraulic stering gear oil. Then the cause of the attempt was put into action such as repairing leaks in the pipe high pressure stering gear.
The results of this study indicate that there is a leak in the high pressure stering gear pipe in the MT. As Marine Mpat. Due to lack of maintenance there is moisture in the pipe, leakage on pipe connections and corrosion. So that the steering leaf operates abnormally.

With the background of the analyzed accident data Maritime Safety
Committee note that the accident caused by human error of ± 80%, the authors
attempt to lift it into a minithesis entitled " The Effect Implementation Of Watch
Keeping With Safety Of CrewOn MT. MATINDOK When Berthing At The Port. ".
Especially with the restrictions on the scope of the location of the problem
that we encountered during the preparation of this paper is expected to give an
idea of the negligence of wachkeeping when ship berthing may endanger the
safety, the role of the elements associated and procedure or procedures department
precautions for the safety of the crew in the port, should be appropriate Standing
Order and the STCW 2010 for the realization of a good watch keeping and the
safety of crew can be kept.
In a theoretical basis, the author describes things related to watch keeping
at the port, due to negligence of watch keeping caused by a lack of awareness and
negligence in performing watch keeping and how prevention and treatment
procedures on board with regard to its human resources. Performance and the
success rate of the crew in carrying out watch keeping at the time the ship
berthing at the port is influenced by several factors. The factors among others are
from the man himself, the influence of equipment that does not support, and the
factors of the work environment. As for the wedge to the third factor is affecting
the level of their productivity in doing all of the work on the boat. In analyzing the
data and research shows exposure writer general description object of research
and the process of handling of the problems arising from the implementation of
the agency in case that is not in accordance with the procedures applicable on the
ship in accordance with the observations and author interviews with stakeholders
in field, and then we compare it with the existing procedures.
Finally, the author can infer the elements in the case of irregularities
implementation services in detail and determine the success of the implementation
of the handling of watch keeping applicable on the ship.

No full textKarya sastra pada dasarnya merupakan cerminan dari kenyataan, termasuk kenyataan sosial. Pengarang karya sastra banyak mengangkat kenyataan sosial berupa gambaran kehidupan masyarakat ke dalam karyanya termasuk gambaran sosial tentang ideologi patriarki. Ideologi patriarki telah mendarah daging pada masyarakat Indonesia yang memiliki bermacam-macam suku dan budaya. Hal tersebut mengakibatkan perempuan berada di wilayah domestisitas. Berdasarkan hal tersebut, maka penelitian ini dimaksudkan untuk mengungkap bagaimana keyataan sosial tersebut direpresentasikan oleh pengarang dalam karya sastra. Objek penelitian ini adalah karya sastra Indonesia berupa novel dengan judul Sekuntum Ruh dalam Merah karya Naning Pranoto. Peneliti membatasi dan merumuskan penelitian untuk mencari jawaban mengenai: 1) struktur intrinsik dan ekstrinsik yang membangun novel; 2) representasi ideologi patriarki yang digambarkan dalam novel; dan 3) model representasi yang digunakan dalam novel tersebut. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif yang menggunakan metode deskriptif analisis dengan cara mendeskripsikan fakta-fakta yang kemudian disusul dengan analisis. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan melalui studi pustaka dengan mencari data-data tentang struktur pembangun novel, makna representasi dan ideologi patriarki yang sesuai dengan objek penelitian. Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan sosiologis, yaitu sosiologi sastra dengan menggunakan teknik representasi, dan teori yang digunakan ialah teori kritik sastra feminis yakni gerakan kesetaraan gender. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan struktur yang membangun novel Sekuntum Ruh dalam Merah terbagi atas struktur intrinsik dan ekstrinsik. Novel ini juga menunjukkan bahwa adanya representasi ideologi patriarki dalam penyifatan perempuan, peran perempuan, dan adanya ketidakadilan oleh sebab ideologi patriarki. Ideologi patriarki juga tampak pada alur novel, latar sosial novel, tema yang diangkat pengarang dalam novel, dan bahasa yang digunakan pengarang. Ideologi patriarki tersebut ada yang merepresentasikan kenyataan sosial di masyarakat Indonesia. Hubungan representasi ideologi patriarki dengan persoalan sosial adalah hubungan sebab akibat. Gambaran persoalan sosial dalam novel tersebut menjadi representasi dari masalah sosial yang dialami masyarakat Indonesia. Model representasi yang digunakan adalah model aktif sehingga dalam merepresentasikan ideologi patriarki dan permasalahan sosial, terdapat kritikan terhadap kenyataan yang digambarkan.
Literature basically are reflection of reality, including social reality. Many literature works made by the authors brought social reality. Those social reality they wrote includes social image of patriarchy ideology. This ideology has been ingrained upon Indonesian society, even though they’re came from different races and culture. The impact of this ideology is that women is consider to only part of “domestisitas” area. This research made is because of that background. This research will try to unveil how the social reality mentioned above represented by the author on his/her literature work. The object of this research are Indonesia Literature Work, a Novel with the title of Sekuntum Ruh dalam Merah by Naning Pranoto. The boundaries and formula made by the researcher are limited only to find the answer of: 1) intrinsic and extrinsic that build the novel; 2) patriarchy ideology represented on the novel; and 3) represent model used on the novel. This research is a qualitative research using descriptive analyst method by describe the fact which then continue with the analysis. Data collection technique used are find through book study by searching on data of novel structures, representation meaning and the perfect patriarchy ideology which match with the researcher object. Research approach used here is sociology approach, which is literature sociology using represent technique, and theory used here is feminist literature critique of gender equality. The research outcome shows the structure that build Sekuntum Ruh dalam Merah novel are divided into: intrinsic and extrinsic structure. This novel also shows the ideology patriarchy representation on the attribution of women, women role, and of the injustice as the result of the patriarchy ideology. Patriarchy ideology also shown on the novel plot, novel social background, theme brought by the author on the novel, and the language used by the author. Some of these patriarchy ideologies are represented social reality on Indonesian society. The conection between patriarchy ideologies with social problems are cause and effect. Social problems images shown on the novel are the representation of social problem face by the Indonesian society. Representation model used here are active model that on representation of patriarchy ideology and social problems, there are still critique to the reality shown

Code mixing used in Naning Pranotos Novel Mumi Beraroma Minyak Wangi

Code is a part of linguistics, which is important to study, as many people use code mixing in their speaking to make intimacy and solidarity. The phenomenon of code mixing does not only happen in oral conversation but also in written conversation. The example of code mixing in oral conversation is the languages that are used by the presenters in music program to communicate with the audiences. While, written code mixing could be found in literary work, magazine and newspaper. Naning Pranoto as an Indonesian novelist also uses code mixing in her novel.
Related to the phenomenon above, this research aims to answer two following questions; the first is what are the characteristics of code mixing used in Naning Pranoto’s novel ،‘Mumi Beraroma Minyak Wangi”, and second is what factors affect the use of code mixing used in Naning Pranoto’s novel “Mumi Beraroma Minyak Wangi”. The researcher limits this research only on sentences in the novel having characteristics of code mixing.
This research is a descriptive qualitative research. The data source of this study is all sentences in the form of written dialogue, monologue and expression, which have code mixing. While, the data of this study are collected from the novel “Mumi Beraroma Minyak Wangi” written by Naning Pranoto. The research instruments are the writer herself as the main instrument and another instrument is interview in depth with the author “Naning Pranoto”. The steps she collected data are by reading and understanding the hovel, picking up the data from the novel dealing with the problems, rechecking and interviewing the author and classifying the data according to the main problems. To analyze the data, she presented the data, interpreted the data, evaluated and drew the conclusion. To corroborate the data, triangulation of investigator triangulation is used in this study.
Based on the data presentation and discussion, it is concluded that there is three characteristics of code mixing that are used by the author in novel “Mumi Beraroma Minyak Wangi”. They are in the form of words, phrase and clauses. In her novel, the author also mixes sentences in many languages. They are Indonesian language, Sundanese language, Javanese language, English language and Jakarta dialect. Further, the use of code mixing in this novel are affected by many factors, they are setting, participants, situation and the purposes. In addition, another factors that affect the use of code mixing in this novel are internal and external factors. Internal factor deals with the author background. While, external factor deals with the background of each character in the story
Understanding the church involvement of generation Z adults within megachurches in Indonesia
No full textPh.D--Biola University, 2021The purpose of this descriptive qualitative study was to understand and describe Gen Z adults’ church involvement within Chinese-background megachurches in Indonesia. This study used basic qualitative research to achieve its purpose to construct meaning from the participants. All 24 participants were living in Indonesia. They consisted of 9 participants who are church leaders, over the age of 25; and 15 other participants who represented Gen Z and were within the age range of 18-to-25-year-olds. The author conducted one-on-one interviews with each participant that lasted from 60 to 90 minutes. The interviews were recorded, transcribed, translated, and analyzed using standard coding procedures, which involved the initial and focused coding. The author also conducted participant observations on the church online worship services and some church activities that involved Gen Z, such as small group meetings and gatherings. The study’s findings describe how the churches’ strategies and endeavors in ministering to today’s young people had led Gen Z to have characteristic church involvement practices, challenges, and impacts on their lives and others around them. Additionally, this study’s findings also spell out the three prominent factors in churches that led to Gen Z’s church involvement, including an engaging community, empowering responsibility, and elevating spirituality. These findings add to the theoretical understanding of Gen Z’s characteristics within the Indonesian context, factors contributing to church involvement, and Chinese-background megachurches in Indonesia. Moreover, this study’s findings also indicate practical implications primarily for the Chinese-background megachurches in Indonesia, the young people ministries of today’s churches, and the researchers in ministry to the young people in Indonesia

No full textEnglish proficiency can be measured through several tests that are recognized internationally like TOEFL. To measure the English proficiency of ‘Binusians’ with TOEFL standards and provide rapid and credible test results, an program design of online English test application (ATBIO) is created by displaying a random question, in which every examinee gets different questions. Prior to the design, first performed profile analysis of the questions in the TOEFL test held by Binus University Language Center. Following is the design of the program using standard UML 2.0 notation. Furthermore, the author submitted the draft to be built by the program developers using java script or ASP. With credible, fast and accurate results of ATBIO, it is expected that people, departments or organizations concerned with these test results can immediately make decisions and take necessary actions. </jats:p

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pelaksannan tugas dan
wewenang Penjabat Bupati Kabupaten Pati ditinjau dari asas-asas umum
pemerintahan yang baik. Pelaksanaan tugas dan wewenang Penjabat Bupati
didasarkan pada pengangkatan Penjabat Bupati melalui Keputusan Menteri Dalam
Negeri Nomor 131.33-713. Selain itu untuk mengetahui permasalahan yang
timbul terkait tugas dan wewenang Penjabat Bupati Pati dalam penyelenggaraan
pemerintahan daerah serta solusi yang diambil untuk melaksanakan tugas dan
wewenang Penjabat Bupati Pati.
Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian hukum empiris yang bersifat
deskriptif. Penulis berkeinginan untuk memberikan gambaran maupun pemaparan
mengenai obyek penelitian. Jenis data yang digunakan adalah data primer dan
data sekunder. Sumber data primer yang digunakan adalah wawancara langsung
dengan pihak terkait yang diteliti. Sumber data sekunder yang digunakan adalah
bahan-bahan kepustakaan, peraturan perundang-undangan, jurnal, makalah,
artikel, dan bahan dari internet serta sumber lain yang terkait. Teknik
pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu studi lapangan dengan langsung menuju
keobyek penelitian dan studi kepustakaan untuk memperoleh landasan teori yang
berkaitan dengan penelitian.
Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dan pembahasan dihasilkan simpulan, yaitu
dalam melaksanakan tugas dan wewenangnya Penjabat Bupati telah sesuai dengan
asas-asas umum pemerintahan yang baik yakni sesuai fokus penelitian ini
menganalisis berdasarkan asas kepastian hukum dan asas keterbukaan. Hal
tersebut didasarkan pada fakta setiap tindakan hukum Penjabat Bupati sesuai
dengan peraturan perundang-undangan yang berlaku serta telah memenuhi
indikator Komite Nasional Kebijakan Governance dalam penerapan asas
keterbukaan.Namun demikian, Penjabat Bupati menemukan permasalahan dalam
menjalankan tugasnya diantaranya masyarakat masih sulit mengakses masalah
Pengelolaan Keuangan Daerah. Dalam tugas fasilitasi penyelenggaran pemilu
Penjabat Bupati memiliki tiga permasalahan yaitu adanya unjuk rasa mendorong
segera melaksanakan Pemungutan Suara Ulang, kendala penetapan tanggal
pelaksanaan dan kendala Alokasi Anggaran pemungutan suara ulang. Untuk
mengatasi permasalahan tersebut Penjabat Bupati mengambil tindakan
mendorong perapan Sistem Pengelolaan Keuangan Daerah (SIMDA) jaringan,
menyampaikan surat kepada Mahkamah Konstitusi perihal permohonan
penjelasan tentang pelaksanaan pemungutan suara ulang serta menetapkan Perda
Nomor 9 Tahun 2011 tentang perubahan APBD tahun 2011.

ACTING REGENT DUTIES AND AUTHORITY (2011-2012 PERIOD) IN
TERM OF GOOD GOVERNANCE GENERAL PRINCIPLES.Faculty of

This study aims to determine the duties and authority implementation of
Pati Acting Regent (2011-2012 period) in term of good governance general
principles. The duties and authority implementation of Pati Acting Regent based
on the appointment of the acting regent by Decree of the Minister of Home
Affairs No. 131.33-713. Moreover, to know the problems that arise related to the
duties and authority of the Pati acting regent in holding local governance and the
solution taken to carry out the duties and authority of Pati Acting Regent.
This research is a descriptive empirical law, which the author intends to
give an overview and presentation of the research object. The types of data used
are primary data and secondary data. The primary data sources used is direct
interviews with relevant parties concerned. Secondary data sources used are
library materials, legislation, journals, papers, articles, and materials from the
internet and other related sources. Data collection techniques used is field studies
directly to the object of research and literature study to gain basic theory related to
research.
Based on the research and discussion resulting conclusion, that in carrying
out its duties and authorities the acting regent is in accordance with the principles
of good governance that is appropriate to analyze the focus of this study based on
the principles of legality and the principle of openness. It is based on the fact any
legal action of the acting regent is in accordance with the legislation in force, and
has met the National Committee on Governance Policy in the application of the
principle of openness. However, the Acting Regent find problems the society is
still difficult to access Financial Management. In facilitating the task of
organizing elections the acting regent had three problems; demonstration
encourages immediate holding re election, constraint of determining re election
date, and constraints on holding re election Budget Allocation. To overcome these
problems the the acting regent encourage action implement Local Financial
Management System (SIMDA) network, delivered a letter to the Constitutional
Court request an explanation regarding the implementation of re election and
establishing Bylaw No. 9 of 2011 on the change in budget year 2011.
