No full textKaveh Akbar\u27s poems appear recently in The New Yorker, Poetry, The New York Times, The Nation, and elsewhere. His first book, Calling a Wolf a Wolf, is just out with Alice James in the US and Penguin in the UK. He is also the author of the chapbook Portrait of the Alcoholic. The recipient of a Pushcart Prize, a Ruth Lilly and Dorothy Sargent Fellowship from the Poetry Foundation, and the Lucille Medwick Memorial Award from the Poetry Society of America, Akbar was born in Tehran, Iran, and teaches in the MFA program at Purdue University and in the low-residency MFA programs at Randolph College

Full text linkRadio akbar adalah salah satu stasiun radio hanya mempunyai pendengar radio generasi millennial sekitar 15 % . maka dari itu, dibutuhkan peran humas dalam sebuah lembaga atau organisasi sangat penting, karena disetiap lembaga membutuhkan kerja seorang humas untuk membantu jalannya program kerja, dan juga humas dapat mempertahankan citra suatu lembaga tersebut. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif. Di mana peneliti akan menjelaskan analisis proses public relations menggunakan teori Cutlip & Center keempat proses PR yaitu : Fact Finding (Penemuan Fakta), Planning (Perencanaan), Action and Communication (Aksi dan Komunikasi), Evaluasi. Hasil penelitian ini, Radio akbar belum mempunyai divisi humas secara spesifik. Program acara akbar morning show dikalangan millennial yaitu, tidak sedikit dari kalangan millennial mengenal atau mengetahui program acara tersebut. Upaya-upaya yang dilakukan humas radio akbar dalam mempertahankan radio akbar yaitu; mengembangkan konten untuk sosial media, program acara yang inovatif dan announcer yang mempunyai ciri khas suara dan familiar. Hambatan-hambatan yang terjadi pada humas radio akabr 94.6 FM yaitu; radio akbar sampai saat ini belum mempunyai brand awareness, dan kurang SDM untuk mengisi divisi yang belum ada di radio akbar 94.6 FM

No full textIn his three 2007-08 interviews with Sandy Pfahler, Akbar Ally talks about the experiences that led him to UW-Madison and UW-Milwaukee and his work in the administration of the universities from the late 1960s to the early 2000s. It will help determine which audio file(s) to download & listen to.In his three 2007-08 interviews with Sandy Pfahler, Akbar Ally talks about the experiences that led him to UW-Madison and UW-Milwaukee and his work in the administration of the universities from the late 1960s to the early 2000s. Dr. Ally began his career in the UW-Madison Graduate School working in student affairs for Dean Robert Bock. His primary area of responsibility was the recruitment and retention of minority students. In 1989 he became Special Assistant to Provost David Ward and continued to specialize in programs for minority and disadvantaged students. Dr. Ally discusses the turbulence at the time created by minority students and other campus activists who were working to change the campus environment. From the turbulence Chancellor Donna Shalala introduced the Madison Plan. Dr. Ally played a major role in the implementation of the Madison Plan. When David Ward became Chancellor Dr. Ally continued his work in the Provost's office under John Wiley and retired as an assistant vice chancellor in 2002. Also covered in the interview is Dr. Ally's childhood growing up in British Guyana. He shares information on how the U.S. government funded his college education at St. Lawrence University in New York. He earned his PhD in urban studies at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. This interview was conducted for inclusion in the University of Wisconsin-Madison Archives Oral History project
