    MASCULINE LANGUAGE IN INDONESIAN NOVELS: A FEMINIST STYLISTIC APPROACH ON BELENGGU AND PENGAKUAN PARIYEM

    Belenggu is a novel written by Armijn Pane in 1938, whereas Pengakuan Pariyem is a lyrical novel written by Linus Suryadi AG that published in 1980. Both are interested to be analyzed from linguistic aspects, especially in relation to gender dan patriarchal issues. In this case, the proper approach is feminist stylistics by Sara Mills since it analyzed literary works from linguistic aspects and then is enlarged on the contexts of surroundings when it was published. The results are that Belenggu basically used masculine languages including word, phrases, clauses, sentences, and discourses when it is related to its contexts. Contextually, Belenggu represented author responses to conditions of his society in which women tried to insist their rights for equality (to men). It also represented author’s critic to women since it is better that women still work domestically and support her husband. Meanwhile, Pengakuan Pariyem is a lyrical novel that considers men and women have mutual relationships although women still work domestically and men work outside

    This research was motivated by the ability of Class VII students in listening to fantasy story texts to find intrinsic elements from fairy tales that were read and listened to at MTs Ikhlasiyah Rokan Hilir. The 2013 curriculum includes text-based learning. This means that students are required to be able to produce a text through writing and listening skills. One of the various types of texts is fantasy story text. Fantasy story is a form of imaginary story or author fantasy that does not occur in the real world. This study aims to analyze the listening ability of seventh grade students to find the intrinsic elements of the fairy tales that are heard at MTs Ikhlasiyah from the text of fantasy stories that are read and listened to. This research is a quantitative research. This study uses a saturated sample, that is, all of the population is used as a sample and is also known as a census. All populations were sampled in the study, namely 32 students of class VII MTs Ikhlasiyah Rokan Hilir. The data analysis technique used by the researcher in this study is as follows: to examine the test results. The answer to the objective choice questions is only one correct answer. Each correct answer gets a value of 1 and the number of correct answers is added up and divided by the total number of questions (20), then multiplied by one hundred, then the student's ability to identify the intrinsic element of each individual student is obtained. From the findings of this study, it was concluded that the short story listening skills of class VII students at MTs Ikhlasiyah Rokan Hilir were in the sufficient category, with a percentage of 60.20%. The highest average of students' listening skills based on the intrinsic elements of fantasy story texts is the character/characterization element with an average value of 71.48, and the second highest is the background element with an average value of 70.31. This shows that most of the students' listening skills are in the sufficient or moderate category and the lowest student listening category is found, especially on the intrinsic elements of language style with an average value of 23.44

    In the 4.0 era, user interface and user experience are considered key factors in the development of digital products, especially mobile applications. The progress and performance of the application is facilitated by the user interface and user experience applied to the application. Apart from presenting an attractive application appearance, implementing a user interface and user experience for an application makes using the application easier. DMS Mobile is an information system application used by drivers which is an information system application that is easy to use for drivers to run their work activities smoothly. Testing the user interface and user experience with the user experience, in this case the driver, can be a reference for assessing the DMS Mobile application. In this user aspect approach, the researchers carried out an evaluation through a questionnaire which would be answered by respondents from PT drivers. Seino Indomobil Logistic with simple random sampling. From the research results that need to be improved, namely the criteria for User control and freedom and Flexibility and efficiency of use which still have minimal percentages. The results obtained from calculations using the heuristic method are, the age criteria of respondents aged 18 - 25 years have a percentage of 9.2% of the total respondent data, while the second is that the age of respondents is 26 - 33 years with 46.1%, and the age criteria of respondents lastly at 34 – 40 years with 44.7%.To improve it, the author used several steps, namely improving the user interface (UI), and user testing to improve the interface so that it is easier to use
