Neutrosophic Exponentiated Power Lomax Distribution
Get PDFThe probability distribution is of great significance in probability the-ory, which is inherent in virtually all the branches of science. It is saidto be used selectively in actuarial science with reference to insurance andfinance, medicine, agriculture, demography and econometrics. However, themain contribution of the current research work is to propose a new distri-bution called as neutrosophic exponentiated power Lomax distribution orbriefly NEPL. Several other mathematical characteristics that describe lifesurvival and the related characteristics, such as hazard rate and functionsand moment-generating functions and other tests of mean, variance, andstandard deviation, asymmetry and kurtosis, have been built and analyzed.Monte Carlo method has been applied also to assess the efficiency of NEPLdistribution estimate. Therefore, the results of the simulation carried outfor this study reveal that the process of estimating with reasonable degree ofaccuracy is feasible only when the size of the sample is comparatively large.The existence of the premature infant staying time data has been utilisedto illustrate the specific manner in which the elaborated NEPL distributionhas been suggested for being applied. Based on the discussions of the pre-vious sections, it can be deduced that the NEPL distribution is also generalin terms of its applications because it can deal with all forms of data thatis, it does not distinguish between certainty, probabilities of uncertainties,ambiguties or imprecisions
Topp-Leone Teissier Distribution-Neutrosophic Approach and Applications
Get PDFIn this paper, we introduce a new two-parameter extension of the Teisisier distribution using the Topp-Leone distribution as a generator, namely Topp- Leone Teissier distribution. The new model exhibits increasing, decreasing and bathtub shaped hazard rate functions. Several properties of the model are derived utilizing the Lambert W, the generalized integro-exponential and the incomplete generalized integro-exponential functions. Maximum like- lihood and Bayesian procedures are used to estimate the model parame- ters. Lindley’s approximation under squared error loss function is utilized for Bayesian computations. Moreover, a simulation study is carried out to analyze the performance of these estimators on the basis of mean squared er- ror. The applicability of the proposed model is evaluated using two real data sets. Also, we highlight the neutrosophic approach on Topp-Leone Teissier distribution as a pathway to address issues related to indeterminate, vague, or uncertain dataset.

No full textThis essay explores cyberpunk not only as a literary and media genre but also as a critical tool for interpreting social, political, and technological transformations from the late twentieth century onwards. Originally emerging as a literary movement, cyberpunk has gradually taken on a broader cultural and political dimension, shaping an imaginary that intertwines body, technology, identity, and power. Recurring themes such as human-machine hybridization, brain-computer interaction, artificial intelligence, and corporeal transformation - as developed by authors like Gibson and Sterling, as well as in Asian media works like Ghost in the Shell - reveal a deep rethinking of subjectivity and interpersonal relations. In Italy, cyberpunk found significant resonance through editorial projects which linked it to countercultural practices. This diffusion helped foster a national production that, while heterogeneous, drew inspiration from the genre's aesthetic and thematic codes. Today, cyberpunk is firmly established in audiovisual and video game media, exemplified by the Cyberpunk 2077 franchise, and functions as a recognizable category across digital content platforms. Beyond its narrative dimension, cyberpunk offers a critical lens through which to explore the tensions between technological innovation, social control, and individual agency, affirming itself as a genre that remains relevant and insightful in analyzing the dynamics of the present
Gender Based Violence and LGBTQI+ Migrants: Assessing Visibility/Invisibility Tactics through the Italian Reception System
Get PDFPersecutions and discrimination based on Sexual Orientation, Gender Identity and Expression, and Sex Characteristics-diversity (SOGIESC-diversity) are recognized as reasons to claim asylum. Despite this, data on the impact of gender-based violence (GBV) on LGBTQIA+ migrants are limited, both from a quantitative and a qualitative point of view. This sustains an enduring invisibilization of LGBTQIA+ migrants, through migration paths and in reception centers. Using Collins' matrix of domination as a framework, this article provides a qualitative analysis of the experience of the project "MigrAzioni" organised by an Italian Association for the rights of LGBTQIA+ people in the South of Italy. A mixed method approach has been used, collecting both official documentation and the experience of SAI reception centers' operators, LGBTQIA+ right activists and migrants. The article highlights the articulation of visibility/invisibility in the LGBQTIA+ migrants' experience, underlining the different ways the latter is intersected by forms of GBV, institutional processes, cultural and social models, gender stereotypes, but also involving daily tactics enacted in liminal spaces between the subjects and the society
