No full textIn this article, I will analyze Nozick's theory of justice, particularly his basic arguments, that of fair distribution in favor of Wilt Chamberlain, that of forced labor, that Kantian, to show the difficul-ties of such a libertarian conception, which I consider unacceptable. Next, I will show, on the basis of six arguments why a liberal-egalitarian conception is preferable, a welfare of fundamental rights, liberty and social rights, as provided in many Western constitutions. Finally, I will conclude by saying how some forms of unequal distribution of wealth can be justified, based on four argu-ments

Focusing on Stiegler’s particular method, that we will describe as continuous gesture of (re)doubling, we will open a straight confrontation between Martin Heidegger’s theo-rization of care [Sorge] and taking care [besorgen], and Stiegler’s caring as paying attention and thinking, in which we will underline above all the specific role of technics. As a result, we will conclude proposing the necessity of a “politics of intermittence” that will allow to restore the tragic movement of thinking as the duty of a philosophy worthy of the present time and capable of not escaping from technology

Jus cogens and the Moral Presuppositions of Public International Law
No full textJus cogens is the ultimate source of international law. Differently from other forms of custom-ary laws, jus cogens underpins non-rebuttable norms overriding all contrary customary (with no peremptory status) and contractual laws. Yet, among the sources listed by art.38 of the Statute of the ICJ, there is no specifically identified category for jus cogens. The paper asks what is the nature of jus cogens and compare it with other available types of international norms. It sug-gests that jus cogens norms can be constituted as a specific sub-category among the already ex-isting sources of international law
