Ugovarja neupoštevanju zgodovinskih dejstev in projiciranju sodobnih naziranj v preteklost. This article presents the origins of a fictional horror story about events related to the Christianization of the eastern Alpine area in the eighth century, which was the inspiration for the poem Krst pri Savici (The Baptism on the Savica) by the poet France Prešeren. It highlights the influence of Prešeren\u27s poem on Anton Aškerc, Dominik Smole, and Tine Hribar. It objects to ignoring historical facts and projecting modern concepts into the distant past
A land sustainability model for identifying strategic agricultural areas
The conversion of agricultural land for urban and infrastructure uses poses a significant threat to food security and agricultural sustainability across Europe. Slovenia has experienced particularly severe agricultural land loss, with approximately 70,000 hectares converted to non-agricultural purposes since 1991. This reduction is considerable, as only 24% (481,000 ha) of the country’s land is suitable for agricultural production. In response, the Government of the Republic of Slovenia has enacted regulations to define and protect strategically important agricultural areas, which require robust methodologies for their identification and classification. This study develops and implements a transparent land sustainability model to classify agricultural land into three strategic categories: permanently protected agricultural land of the highest quality requiring strict protection (PPAL), other agricultural land suitable for continued agricultural use (OAL), and potentially suitable areas for agriculture (PSAs). The methodology utilises a multicriteria evaluation of soil quality, agricultural infrastructure, topography, current land use, and the cultural characteristics of agricultural production or landscape, drawing on readily available datasets to ensure replicability. In Novo mesto Municipality, southeastern Slovenia, the classification identified 6490 ha (28%) as PPAL, 1020 ha (4%) as OAL, and 5078 ha (22%) as PSA. This research provides a transparent and replicable multicriteria evaluation framework for strategic agricultural area classification, addresses methodological gaps in existing approaches, and demonstrates practical application in a post-transition European context
Video presentation of experiences of person with autism spectrum disorder
V diplomskem delu obravnavamo motnjo avtističnega spektra (MAS) in z njo pogosto povezano senzorno preobčutljivost, pri čemer raziskujemo predvsem notranje doživljanje posameznice ob prekomerni senzorični obremenitvi.
Največ pozornosti smo namenili zvočni podobi videa, saj zvonjenje ni zgolj spremljevalni element, temveč sprožilec, ki stopnjuje napetost in senzorno preplavljanje.
Končni video predstavlja osebno in avtentično vizualno interpretacijo avtoričinih notranjih občutkov ob prekomernih senzoričnih dražljajih. In this thesis, we discuss autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and the often associated sensory hypersensitivity, focusing on the individual\u27s internal experience of excessive sensory overload.
The purpose of the thesis was to create a video presentation that allows the viewer to gain insight into the subjective experience of sensory overload and raises awareness of the challenges faced by individuals with ASD. In the theoretical part, we present the key characteristics of ASD and the various forms of sensory hypersensitivity. We also analyze media portrayals of ASD, which often distort the image of people with ASD. The film Temple Grandin is also highlighted as an example of good practice.
Based on theoretical premises, we created our own video presentation, in which we used the ringing of church bells as the central sensory trigger, which played an important role in the experiences of the actress in the video. The creation process included preparing a filming script, planning the cast, filming on location with a film crew, and post-production. We focused the most attention on the audio aspect of the video, as the ringing is not just a background element, but a trigger that escalates tension and sensory overload.
The final video is a personal and authentic visual interpretation of the author\u27s inner feelings when faced with excessive sensory stimuli. Through symbolism, the rhythm of the shots, and the sound design, the film aims to realistically convey an experience that is often invisible and incomprehensible to the viewer. This thesis contributes to a greater understanding of sensory hypersensitivity and highlights the importance of empathy and compassion in the treatment of individuals with ASD

Measuring SME propensity for resilience using problem structuring methods and TOPSIS
Resilience is a critical factor in determining the success and sustainability of companies, enabling them to navigate challenging periods and uncertainties. For small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), resilience is even more crucial due to their limited resources and vulnerability to external shocks. Despite its importance, few studies have examined SME resilience comprehensively, and most have failed to offer an integrated model that captures its complex, multifaceted nature. This study addresses this gap by developing an innovative multicriteria evaluation system for assessing SME resilience, focusing on both the factors that enhance and those that constrain resilience. The proposed model uniquely combines two robust methodologies: (1) Strategic Options Development and Analysis (SODA), which uses cognitive mapping to structure complex decision problemsand (2) Technique for Order of Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS), which assesses the resilience potential of real SMEs. The model was refined through group work sessions with a panel of specialists and further validated through feedback from external experts. This hybrid approach represents a novel contribution to the literature, providing a holistic, interactive and objective framework for understanding and strengthening SME resilience. The findings have significant theoretical, practical and societal implications, offering valuable insights for managers seeking to enhance their SMEs’ resilience and guiding future research on this critical area. By offering a comprehensive, process-oriented tool for decision-makers, this study paves the way for more resilient SMEs, which are essential for fostering sustainable economic growth and stability
The present study investigated the expression of emotions in pupils of the first five grades of primary school. The sample (N = 114) comprised pupils aged between 6.5 and 10.6 years, whose expression of emotions was observed using an observational schema. Observations were gathered in classrooms at 70 schools in different regions of Slovenia. Fourteen emotions were recognized in the pupils’ expressions, with joy and anger predominating. The intensity of the expression of positive and negative emotions, as well as basic and complex emotions, was moderate, and no significant difference in intensity was observed between these categories. Boys expressed more positive, negative and basic emotions than girls. The situations that elicited emotions varied and reflected the prominent issues in school, particularly academic achievement, social interactions with teachers and classmates, and activities during lessons. The applicability of the results to teachers’ work in the classroom was highlighted. Ethical dilemmas in life and death decision making in intensive care
Izzivi vključujejo moralno stisko medicinskih sester, nejasne vloge v zdravstvenem timu, pomanjkanje informacij in šibko komunikacijo. Ključne težave predstavljajo pomanjkanje jasne komunikacije, nejasne vloge v timu in nezadostno vključevanje svojcev in paliativne oskrbe v proces odločanja. Introduction: Intensive care unit is a demanding and dynamic clinical environment where healthcare professionals are confronted daily with ethical dilemmas regarding life and death decisions. These decisions often involve the use of advanced medical technologies, the necessity for rapid intervention, and cooperation with patients’ relatives, who are frequently under significant emotional distress. One of the most difficult decisions is the assessment of whether to continue or discontinue treatment, which requires consideration of the patient’s well-being, respect for their autonomy, and appropriate involvement of relatives in the decision-making process. Purpose: The purpose of this diploma work was to examine ethical dilemmas that arise in life and death decision-making in intensive care. Methods: We used a descriptive method, with a review of scientific and professional literature. Literature was obtained from bibliographic databases COBIB, CINAHL, PubMed as well as the search engines ScienceDirect and Google Scholar. Results: Ethical dilemmas often relate to decisions about continuing or withdrawing treatment in patients with no prospect of improvement. Challenges include moral distress among nurses, unclear roles within the healthcare team, lack of information, and weak communication. Key factors are team collaboration, involvement of relatives, and respect for patient autonomy and dignity. Discussion and conclusion: Ethical dilemmas often cause moral distress among healthcare staff, especially nurses, who play an important role in patient care but are frequently not directly involved in decisions about continuing or withdrawing treatment in intensive care. Key issues include lack of clear communication, unclear roles within the team, and insufficient involvement of relatives and palliative care in the decision-making process. It is necessary to strengthen the involvement of nurses in decision-making, provide professional education, develop clear guidelines, and promote open and empathetic communication between healthcare professionals, patients, and their relatives
This article addresses whether Tomaž Kosmač’s novel Preko vode do svobode (Acrossthe Water to Freedom) can be described as a post-Yugoslav novel. The concept of post-Yugoslav literature is a contested one, but it most often encompasses novels that deal critically with Yugoslavia and the situation in its successor states. In this respect, the novel can undoubtedly be counted among post-Yugoslav literature because it takes a rather particular, unengaged, but nonetheless critical stance toward both the past and the present
This article presents an orientation of modern theater that is strongly tied to the concrete social context, using the example of the production of the play Sedem dni (Seven Days) by the well-established theater duo Katarina Morano and Žiga Divjak. The performance, based on an original dramatic text, addresses socially current topics, and a special form of stage speech (the Ljubljana dialect) appears in it, which is mostly predetermined by the written dramatic material
