Leveraging Data Metrics to Optimize Decision-Making in Agile Product Management : An explorative Case Study of a Swedish Industry Conglomerate
The fast evolution of digital markets and increasingly complex product ecosystems demand companies to ground product management decisions in strong, well-timed data. This study investigates which key metrics agile product management teams should monitor throughout a product’s lifecycle, and how those metrics can be leveraged to guide strategic decisions, such as investments, feature prioritisation and market entry decisions. This is done through a case study within a multinational software provider, using an abductive, mixed method approach. The data was collected through semi-structured interviews, a self-completion survey with 30 academically sourced and respondents suggested metrics, and two focus group discussions that validated and deepened the findings. The people involved were product managers, product marketing managers and product owners. Survey results were analysed descriptively, while thematic analysis of qualitative data uncovers themes related to challenges and improvements for data processes, relevant and important metrics for understanding product performance and lifecycle positioning, and lastly how to use data for decisions. The findings shows that traditional financial, usage and marketing metrics, such as revenue, MRR/ARR, churn, retention, NPS and CAC remain essential but insufficient on their own. Leading indicators such as feature usage rate and conversion rate emerge as crucial metrics they currently lack. On the contrary, pure agile process metrics, are less relevant for the product management function in this context. The study proposes a 27-metric framework, re-categorised by growth, health, profitability and efficiency. It illustrates how integrating lagging and leading metrics within a structured dashboard can accelerate data-driven decisions. By delivering data process improvements and aligning metric selection with specific roles and lifecycle phases, companies can transform raw data into a strategic roadmap. This by optimising resource allocation and increasing customer value, to sustain a competitive advantage.
Förståelsen för röntgensjuksköterskans roll och kompetens hos andra yrken inom vården
Background: Radiographic technology is a central component of modern healthcare and is widely used. The use of this technology has given rise to the role of the radiographer, which combines technical expertise with patient care. Interprofessional education may increase the understanding of different roles, however it is unclear how well other healthcare professionals understand the radiographer’s responsibilities and competencies. Purpose: The purpose is to study how the radiographer’s role, competence and responsibilities are perceived by nurses and assistant nurses in other departments. Method: This study was conducted as a qualitative study with semi structured interviews. A total of nine persons were interviewed who were either nurses, specialist nurses or assistant nurses. The interviews were conducted in secluded rooms or through Zoom meetings. The interviews were recorded, transcribed and analyzed with a qualitative, manifest content-analysis. Results: The radiographer’s profession is perceived as a more technical profession but still requires general knowledge in nursing. Despite a clear lack of information about the radiographer’s profession, their work in medical care is still appreciated. Conclusion: The general perception is that the radiographer profession is mostly a technical profession with a small part nursing and medicine. The knowledge about the radiographer’s competence, role and responsibilities mostly derives from individual observations during the participants’ work, less from education about it. Reconstructing smoking history through dental cementum analysis - a preliminary investigation on modern and archaeological teeth
Acellular extrinsic fibre cementum (AEFC) has been widely utilised in cementochronology to estimate age at death, seasonality, and for life-history reconstruction. Smoking has been commonplace in the UK since the 17th century and is known to compromise oral health and to modulate physiological processes. This study aimed to investigate whether AEFC analysis could identify smoking activity in both modern and archaeological populations. A modern sample (70 teeth from 46 donors) with known age, sex, and smoking status was compared with an archaeological sample (18 teeth from 18 individuals), dating from the 18th/19th centuries in Coventry, UK, whose biographical information was recorded from coffin plates where available. Smoking status for the archaeological individuals was inferred from pipe notches and dental staining. AEFC analysis that was blinded to smoking status measured increment count, overall width and the presence of irregularities within the cementum microstructure in both samples. Results demonstrated that the AEFC width was significantly lower (p = 0.008) in current smokers compared to ex-smokers. Additionally, individuals with a history of smoking were significantly more likely to display disrupted incremental patterns within their AEFC (p < 0.001). This research suggests an association between smoking and periodontal ligament health, which influences AEFC formation and shows that the AEFC provides a record of smoking-related oral health damage. This research expands the potential applications of cementochronology to forensic and archaeological investigations for life history reconstruction

Hole To Another Universe : How does Life Is Strange - Remastered: Episode 5 (Polarized) implement the final moral dilemma to challenge the boundaries of player agency?
This thesis examines how Life Is Strange: Remastered (DontNod, 2022) implements the final moral dilemma in Episode 5 (Polarized) to challenge the boundaries of player agency. The research focuses on the last major choice of the game, the final moral dilemma where the player has to choose between sacrificing Chloe or Arcadia Bay. The research question explores how implementing the final moral dilemma challenges the boundaries of meaningful player agency in a narrative driven, interactive context. The study uses the close reading (Bizzocchi & Tanenbaum, 2011) method analyzing the games mechanics and narrative. It implements a thought experiment the trolley problem (Thompson, 1976) and ethical frameworks like Kantian deontology (1785, 1788) and consequentialism (Moore, 1912) the doctrine of double effect (Foot, 2002) were applied to analyze the moral implications of player choices. The main findings indicate that whilst the time-rewind mechanic initially gives the player theoretical agency (Thue et al. 2010), during the final moral dilemma when this mechanic is removed, it makes the player heavily reliant on perceived agency (Thue et al. 2010). During the high tension final moral dilemma to the player is forced to confront and reflect on their moral consequences by letting go of their “safety net” of Max’s time rewind powers. This paper reveals how moral philosophies can be applied to Life Is Strange: Remastered (DontNod, 2022) and manipulate perception of player agency.
University Students Use of and Attitudes Towards Generative AI
As Generative AI (GAI) tools rapidly evolve, they are becoming increasingly integrated into higher education. This study explores how students in programming-related studies use these tools and perceive their role. Through a qualitative survey conducted in spring 2025, the experiences and perspectives of 45 university students from five Nordic higher education institutions were examined. The findings reveal that a majority of students are regular GAI users. Applications are diverse, ranging from enhancing conceptual understanding and summarizing texts to specific coding tasks such as debugging, code explanation, and drafting initial code. While students generally advocate for the conditional use of GAI and express a strong desire for training in it's professional and ethical application, significant concerns also emerge. Significant concerns also relate to academic integrity, as students widely believe that unauthorized GAI use is already common. The study reveals an acute need for higher education institutions to actively address the ethical aspects of GAI, responsibly integrate the technology into teaching, and ensure the reliability of examinations. Further research is necessary to optimize GAI implementation in a way that both promotes learning and upholds academic integrity.
Impact of mass transport on meniscus electrochemistry determined by time-resolved operando X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy
Ambient pressure X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (APXPS) combined with the dip-and-pull method can be used for operando studies of electrochemical systems. A complete coupling between the spectroscopic and the electrochemical measurements is generally challenging due to an inherent difference between the meniscus and the bulk electrolyte - the mass transport. This work investigates meniscus mass transport and its effect on the meniscus electrochemical processes by simultaneously conducting time-resolved APXPS and chronoamperometry for two types of electrochemical processes: capacitive and faradaic. Additionally, experiments are complemented with simulations based on a purposefully constructed transmission line model. In the investigated system, based on a gold electrode and carbonate electrolyte, the meniscus resistance is shown to be over 1000 times larger than the bulk electrolyte resistance. Consequently, during faradaic processes, considerable iR drop in the meniscus results in two to three orders of magnitude slower rate of charge transfer in the meniscus than in the bulk electrolyte. Using the acquired understanding of the meniscus mass transport, we suggest an experimental practice to quantify the iR drop and propose possible remedies for experiments where any impact of the iR drop must be avoided
Justering av ingående mervärdesskatt vid rena fastighetsöverlåtelser : En analys av de nya justeringsreglernas i Fi 2023/00434 förenlighet med unionsrätten
This thesis analyzes the Ministry of Finance’s proposal in memorandum Fi 2023/00434concerning amended adjustment rules for input value-added tax in the case of real estatetransfers. The background is the Court of Justice of the European Union’s judgment in case C-787/18 (Sögård Fastigheter AB), in which the Swedish rules on the transfer of adjustmentobligations were deemed incompatible with the VAT Directive. In response, the Ministry ofFinance, in memorandum Fi 2023/00434, has proposed that the seller in real estate transfersshould always adjust previously deducted input VAT, regardless of the buyer’s activities. The purpose of this thesis is to evaluate this proposal in relation to Article 188.2 of the VATDirective, as well as the principles of VAT neutrality and reciprocity. The analysis, based on alegal dogmatic method with a focus on EU law, indicates that the proposal is likely compatiblewith the specific provisions of the Directive. However, it may result in undesirableconsequences, such as lock-in effects and hidden VAT, which could potentially conflict withfundamental VAT principles
Verification of Residue Mutation Free Energy Changes Using Graph Neural Networks
Accurately predicting the effect of single point mutations on proteins is an important task in the fields of biomedical research and bioengineering. One such tool to predict the change in thermodynamic stability is QresFEP-2, a newly developed free energy perturbation method using a hybrid topology protocol. Arguably as important is accurately estimating the error of such tools, as it allows for informed decision making in downstream analysis. In this work, a graph neural network is developed to quantify the errors in QresFEP-2 predictions. Starting from protein structures, proteins are converted to graphs and used by the graph neural network to predict the change in thermodynamic stability. That prediction is then used to estimate the QresFEP-2 error. The error is estimated within 2 kcal/mol in 96% of the cases, and within 1 kcal/mol in 76% of the cases. This shows promising results for future work, both in terms of protein stability prediction and error estimation. It also shows the capability of graph neural networks to learn useful representations from complex data such as protein structures, and how different methods complement each other allowing for more robust predictions
