Alonso Zamora Vicente’s and María Josefa Canellada’s narrative work under the censor’s gaze
Get PDFEn esta colaboración se hace un inventario de los ocho expedientes con sus correspondientes informes a propósito de la obra narrativa de Alonso Zamora Vicente (1916-2006) así como de los cuatro expedientes correspondientes a los cinco informes de la obra de creación de María Josefa Canellada (1912-1995), material todo él depositado en el Archivo General de la Administración; se da cuenta de la censura que ambos autores sufrieron en las obras allí contempladas y se concluye con unas reflexiones sobre el diferente tratamiento que merecieron ambos escritores por parte del respectivo lector/ censor.This contribution consists of an inventory of the eight files with their corresponding reports on the narrative work of Alonso Zamora Vicente (1916-2006) as well as of the four files corresponding to the five reports of the creative work by María Josefa Canellada (1912-1995). All these sources are deposited in the General Archive of the Administration and document the censorship that both authors’ work suffered. Some reflections on the different treatment that both writers received by their respective readers and censors are offered as a conclusion

The Latin American chronicle has had different moments of splendor that have nurtured literature, from El Carnero by Juan Rodríguez Freyle to the present in which a brilliant generation has been in charge of portraying, in a very correct way, the different realities that occur daily from Mexico to Argentina.Este artículo indaga acerca de la crónica, un género de periodismo narrativo latinoamericano por excelencia, que ha ayudado a la definición y a la promoción de la identidad de los distintos países que van desde río Bravo hasta la Patagonia y que, además, ha brindado significativos aportes a la narrativa del continente. Las entidades asociativas prioritarias como instrumento de integración de empresas agroalimentarias. Dificultades y oportunidades de su reconocimiento
Get PDFGiven the existing fragmentation in the Spanish cooperative system and the consequent lack of competitive level of Spanish cooperatives in the international market, the Act 13/2013, of August 2nd, to promote the integration of cooperatives and other associative agri-food entities was developed, which sought to address these problems. Obtaining the qualification of "Associative Priority Entity" created by said Act, these entities will have preferential access to subsidies and aids, as well as the entities that are integrated in them and the agrarian producers. But to obtain this qualification they will find multiple difficulties, whether they are intrinsic to the integration itself, such as the problems of concentration / differentiation, or the requirements imposed by the same Act and by the Royal Decree 550/2014, of June 27th, by which the requirements and the procedure for the recognition of the Associative Priority Entities and for their inscription and entry in the National Register of Associative Priority Entities are developed, among which are the demands for turnover, joint marketing and the controversial nature of supra-regional, or difficulties derived from the plurality of regulations generated by the autonomous regions.Ante la atomización existente en el sistema cooperativo español y la consiguiente falta de nivel competitivo de las cooperativas españolas en el mercado internacional, se desarrolló la Ley 13/2013, de 2 de agosto, de fomento de la integración de cooperativas y de otras entidades asociativas de carácter agroalimentario, que pretendía hacer frente a estos problemas. Obteniendo la calificación de “Entidad Asociativa Prioritaria” creada por dicha Ley, dichas entidades tendrán acceso preferencial a subvenciones y ayudas, lo mismo que las entidades que se encuentren integradas en ellas y los productores agrarios. Pero para la obtención de esta calificación se van a encontrar con múltiples dificultades, ya sean intrínsecas de la propia integración como pueden ser los problemas de la concentración/diferenciación, o los requisitos impuestos por la misma Ley y el Real Decreto 550/2014, de 27 de junio, por el que se desarrollan los requisitos y el procedimiento para el reconocimiento de las Entidades Asociativas Prioritarias y para su inscripción y baja en el Registro Nacional de Entidades Asociativas Prioritarias, entre los que se encuentran las exigencias de facturación, comercialización conjunta y el controvertido carácter de supra-autonomía, o con dificultades derivadas de la pluralidad normativa generada por las comunidades autónomas

La selección documental de fotografías de prensa
Get PDFOur objective has been to find out the most appropriate selective criterions to apply to press photos. To achieve it, we have firstly collected and filtered the selective criterions recommended by many consulted authors, in order to propose a method based on seven selective criterions, which can be useful to the selectors of press photos. Secondly, we have tested our model of selection, using a corpus of 264 press photos removed from the Spanish newspapers El País and El Mundo, in order to explore its real applicability and the value, individual and collective, of each one of the applied selective criterions. The results point to a majority elimination of the analyzed press photos, due to factors like the little own production, the little originality, the little testimonial value or the lacking value for research.Nuestro objetivo ha sido indagar cuáles serían los criterios selectivos más apropiados para aplicar a los documentos fotoperiodísticos. Para ello, en primer lugar, hemos recopilado y filtrado los criterios selectivos recomendados por numerosos autores consultados, a fin de proponer un método, basado en siete criterios selectivos, que pueda resultarle útil al selector de fotografías de prensa. En segundo lugar, hemos ensayado nuestro modelo de selección, utilizando un corpus de 264 documentos fotoperiodísticos extraídos de los diarios españoles El País y El Mundo, al objeto de explorar su aplicabilidad real y el valor, individual y colectivo, de cada uno de los criterios selectivos aplicados. Los resultados apuntan a una mayoritaria eliminación de las fotografías de prensa analizadas, debido a factores tales como la poca producción propia, la poca originalidad, la poca actualidad, el poco valor testimonial o el escaso valor para la investigación
La Influencia de la temática informativa en la presencia de los roles cívico y de infoentretenimiento en la prensa chilena: un estudio cross-longitudinal entre 1990 y 2010
Get PDFImportant political, social and technological transformations during the last decades have affected both media systems and the journalistic profession in Latin America. Based on a crosslongitudinal content analysis (N = 2,431) of news published in the printed national Chilean press between 1990 and 2010, this study analyzes the evolution of the presence of the civic and the infotainment roles in the news, as well as the influence that the thematic beat has in the presence of both professional roles across time. The results show significant differences in the presence of both professional roles depending on the principal topic of the news, as well as the influence – at different levels - of the time as a variable, as well as the media audience orientation (elite or popular), in the put in practice of these roles.Importantes transformaciones políticas, sociales y tecnológicas ocurridas durante las últimas décadas han afectado a los sistemas de medios, así como a la profesión periodística en Latinoamérica. A través de un análisis de contenido crosslongitudinal (N= 2,431) de noticias publicadas en la prensa impresa nacional chilena entre 1990 y 2010, el estudio analiza la evolución de la presencia de los roles cívico y de infoentretenimiento en las noticias, así como la influencia que la temática informativa tiene en la presencia de ambos roles profesionales a lo largo del tiempo. Los resultados muestran diferencias significativas en la presencia de ambos roles profesionales, según la temática principal abordada, así como la influencia, en distintos niveles, del tipo de prensa – elite – popular) y el tiempo, en la materialización de los roles cívico e infoentretenimiento en las noticias chilenas
Interpretive journalism in political news in Spain: a comparative analysis with 15 countries
Get PDFEste artículo parte de la hipótesis de que un bajo porcentaje de periodismo interpretativo perjudicaría la calidad de la información política y podría fomentar la apatía ciudadana hacia la política. Su objetivo es analizar la presencia de periodismo interpretativo en la cobertura mediática de información política en España y compararla con la de 13 países europeos, Estados Unidos e Israel. Los resultados revelan que la información política de los medios españoles contiene menos periodismo interpretativo que en el resto de países; sigue la tendencia del periodismo occidental a incorporar interpretación a los textos informativos; se caracteriza por una tendencia a incluir opiniones; y contiene más noticias con elementos interpretativos en los medios comerciales que en los públicos.This article starts from the assumption that a low percentage of interpretive journalism would affect adversely the quality of political information and could foster citizens’ apathy towards politics. Its purpose is to analyse the presence of interpretive journalism in media’s coverage of political news in Spain and to compare it with the one of 13 European countries, the United States and Israel. The results show that political news in Spanish media contains less interpretive journalism than in the other countries; it follows the tendency of occidental journalism to incorporate interpretation into informative texts; it is characterized by a tendency to include comments; and it contains more pieces of news with interpretive elements in commercial media than in public media
Vocento or the limits of regional press
Get PDFLa historia de Vocento es la de un grupo de comunicación que logró consolidar el mayor proyecto periodístico regional en España. Con la tesorería acumulada en los años de bonanza y algunos recursos ajenos pudo adquirir ABC, y también plantear una ambiciosa expansión multimedia con la creación de una emisora de radio (Punto Radio) y la entrada en proyectos televisivos: Telecinco, cadenas locales y multiplex en la TDT. Esta estrategia propició una diversificación de sus actividades y que fuese capaz de competir con el resto de grandes conglomerados mediáticos: Prisa, Telefónica y Planeta. Si bien, el resultado final fue desigual al no cumplir sus expectativas en los proyectos audiovisuales y contar con excesivas pérdidas en el diario ABC. Nuestro objetivo en este artículo es doble: demostrar las restricciones de los procesos de integración horizontal en el sector periodístico, así como analizar los desaciertos cometidos por Vocento en su estrategia de diversificación multimedia.The story of Vocento is that of a communication group that managed to consolidate the largest regional journalistic project in Spain. With the treasury accumulated in the boom years and some other resources was able to acquire ABC Journal; and also it carried out an ambitious multimedia expansion, with the creation of a radio station (Punto Radio) and television projects: Telecinco, local channels and multiplex in the DTT. This strategy prompted a diversification of its activities and that it was able to compete with the rest of great media conglomerates: Prisa, Telefónica and Planeta. Although the final result was unequal in not meeting expectations in audiovisual projects and having excessive losses in the newspaper ABC. Our objective in this article is twofold: to demonstrate the restrictions of the processes of horizontal integration in the journalistic sector, as well as to analyze the mistakes made by Vocento in its multimedia diversification strategy
