Understanding Financial Planning Behavior: Insights from Theory of Planned Behavior for Financial Planning
This study examines how financial satisfaction, financial socialization, mental accounting, and financial cognition, mediated by financial literacy, impact intentions toward financial planning behavior using the Theory of Planned Behavior. The findings led to the development of the Theory of Financial Planning Behavior, which posits that these factors directly influence the intention to adopt financial planning behaviors, such as tax, cash flow, investment, risk, estate, and retirement planning. This framework offers valuable insights for academics, consumers, managers, and policymakers in understanding and shaping financial planning behavior

Assessing and Developing Approaches for Improved Practical Question Answering System for Healthcare
In recent years, there has been considerable advancement in Deep Learning research which has led to impressive results in many Natural Language Processing tasks including question answering. Complex domains such as healthcare are challenging due to several reasons, one of which is the lengthy context and answer that the machine needs to process. In this work, I developed techniques that allow question answering systems to perform more efficiently and effectively in such scenarios. This research contributes to the effort of building practical systems that assist humans in information retrieval services
Determinants and Resultant Impacts of the Composition of the Boards of Australian Partners of Humanitarian International Non-Government Organisations
This qualitative analysis of seven case-study organisations explored the factors determining the board composition of Australian partners of Humanitarian International NGOs. The desire for compliance skills, gender equality and diversity drives recruitment more than the need for sector expertise, resulting in significant governance gaps. This gap is amplified when a CEO external to the sector is hired. There is little debate as to whether the framework of super-majority independent, non-executive directors should be followed unquestioningly. The two main recommendations are that sectoral- and firm-expertise should be seen of equal importance, and that CEOs should be appointed as executive directors
Exploring the Impact of New and Emerging Training Technologies on the Institution of Commercial Flight Training in Australia
This research investigates how the commercial flight training system in Australia is impacted by new and emerging training technologies. The research examined historically and presently how the system is shaped by technological change, how the stakeholders in the system both drive and react to this process, and implications for the future. Findings suggest that technological change creates pressure for regulatory change to allow greater use of technologies. However, this increasing use was accompanied by more extensive regulatory control. At present prescriptive regulatory control means only a major airline has the institutional legitimacy to enact substantive change in the training system
Copyright Law and Performers' Rights in the Entertainment Industry: A Case Study Analysis of India and Australia
This thesis investigates the relationship between copyright law and performers' rights in the entertainment industries of India and Australia. It explores the current statutory relationship between the two, as well as the rights of performers versus those of authors. By conducting 19 semi-structured interviews with actors, singers, and lawyers in the music and film industries, the study highlights the inadequacies of the existing performers' rights regime and evaluates the possibility of extending property rights to performers using theoretical frameworks. The research aims to promote equitable copyright laws by expanding performers' rights, and its findings are relevant to policymakers and copyright legal scholars worldwide. of authors. The study sheds light on the perspectives of actors, singers, and lawyers in the music and film industries about the inadequacies of the existing performer rights regime and evaluate the viability of extending similar property rights to performers. The research's potential benefits to society include the expansion of performers' rights and the promotion of an equitable copyright regime
Study on The Influence of Microwave Curing on Dielectric and Mechanical Properties of Banana Fiber Reinforced High-Density Polyethylene with Magnesium Oxide
Microwaves have applications beyond the kitchen due to their higher rate of heating. Microwave radiates heat volumetrically with rapid processing compared traditional conventional heating. This research study the effect of microwave curing of banana fiber reinforced high-density polyethylene with magnesium oxide by comparing with oven and room temperature curing. The findings highlight marked improvements in material qualities through microwave curing. This research also explore diverse chemical surface treatments to strengthen the mechanical and dielectric properties of the fibers. Implementing these findings enables effective and efficient manufacturing of environmentally friendly products, replacing inferior materials in the market

Generalized hydrodynamics in simple nanoscale systems
The thesis titled Generalized hydrodynamics in simple nanoscale systems, aims to improve the understanding of the dynamics of liquids on the nanoscale. The dynamics on these scales differs from the dynamics on larger scales. Using the framework of hydrodynamics to describe nanoscale dynamics must be done carefully, and we show that by taking into account the length scale and or frequency dependence of the transport coefficients, hydrodynamics can be used to interpret data at surprisingly small length scales. This research is important to develop nanometer sized Lab On a Chip (LOC) devices, with micrometer sized devices already being used successfully
