    Konya’da Bulunan Üst Yapısı Eyvan Formlu Sarnıçlar

    Yaşamın hayati bir elemanı olan su, geçmişten günümüze uygarlıklar için medeniyetin sembollerinden birisi olmuştur. Bu sembolü mimarlık aracı ile gösteren devletler, baniler öncülüğünde çeşitli su yapıları inşa etmişlerdir. Yerleşimlerin kurulmasında da etkili bir faktör olan su kaynakları, yerleşkelerden uzak olduğunda suyun taşınma ve depolama ihtiyacını da beraberinde getirmiştir. Bu gereksinimi karşılamaya yönelik geliştirilen teknikler su mimarisi altında ele alınırken; anıtsal ya da anıtsal olmayan bu mimari farklı ölçeklere ve işlevlere hizmet etmektedir. Bu programın altında yer alan sarnıçlar, farklı kültürel coğrafyalarda karşımıza çeşitli mimari formlarda çıkmaktadır. Özellikle su şebeke ve depolama sistemlerinin günümüze kıyasla daha basit mekanik yöntemlerle çözüldüğü geçtiğimiz yüzyıllarda sarnıç mimarisi önemli bir yere sahipti. Bilhassa doğal su kaynaklarının uzak, kısıtlı ya da mevsimsel farklılık gösterdiği ve/veya jeopolitik konumu güvenli olmayan yerleşimlerde sarnıç kullanımının sıklığı göze çarpmaktadır. Anadolu coğrafyası ilk çağlardan itibaren sarnıç mimarisi bakımından çeşitlilik sunarken bu bölgenin merkezinde yer alan, kapalı bir havza olan Konya kenti sarnıç sayısı bakımından oldukça zengindir. Bu araştırma kapsamında, Konya kentinde bulunan iki katlı tam gömme sarnıç tipine dahil olan üst yapısı eyvan formlu sarnıçlar incelenmiştir. Konya sarnıçlarını konu edinen birtakım çalışmalarda yer yer değinilen bu özellikteki sarnıçların eyvan unsuru çatısı altında bir arada neşredilmediği görülmekte olup bu araştırmanın literatüre katkı sağlaması beklenmektedir. Ayrıca mimarlık tarihi sahnesinde var olduğundan bu yana eyvan, zaman zaman su ile ilişki kuran bir mimari form olmuştur. Bu noktada çalışmanın kavramsal yaklaşımında eyvan su ilişkisi biçimsel, işlevsel ve semantik boyutta değerlendirilmiştir. 13. ve 19. Yüzyıl aralığına tarihlendirilen bu sarnıçların (Aksarnıç, Ana Sultan Sarnıcı, Şerafeddin Sarnıcı, Hoca Fakih Sarnıcı, Hocacihan Arap Sarnıcı, Takkeli Sarnıç, Köyceğiz Sarnıcı) konumu, yönelimi, su kaynağı ile ilişkisi, kullanımı ve günümüzdeki durumu değerlendirilmiştir. Kütle biçim dili, üst örtü farklılıkları, plan ve cephe özellikleri, malzeme ve yapım tekniği, süsleme programı ele alınmış, örnekler karşılaştırılmıştır. Çalışmadan elde edilen bulgular arasında Konya kenti eyvan barındıran sarnıçlar bakımından önemli ve özgün örneklere sahiptir. Bu örnekler arasında beşik tonoz, ahşap kirişli toprak dam, ahşap makas çatı örtülü olanlar bulunurken, özellikle 13. Yüzyıl sarnıçlarında tuğla ve moloz taş kullanımının yanında devşirme malzeme kullanımı da dikkat çekmektedir. Bugün aktif olarak kullanılmayan bu yapıların yok olmadan önce belgelenmesi ve kültürel miras hazinesine kazandırılması önem taşımaktadır

    Exploring the Strong Interaction of Three-Body Systems at the LHC

    Deuterons are atomic nuclei composed of a neutron and a proton held together by the strong interaction. Unbound ensembles composed of a deuteron and a third nucleon have been investigated in the past using scattering experiments, and they constitute a fundamental reference in nuclear physics to constrain nuclear interactions and the properties of nuclei. In this work, Kthorn-d and p-d femtoscopic correlations measured by the ALICE Collaboration in proton-proton (pp) collisions at root s 13 TeV at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) are presented. It is demonstrated that correlations in momentum space between deuterons and kaons or protons allow us to study three-hadron systems at distances comparable with the proton radius. The analysis of the Kthorn-d correlation shows that the relative distances at which deuterons and protons or kaons are produced are around 2 fm. The analysis of the p-d correlation shows that only a full three-body calculation that accounts for the internal structure of the deuteron can explain the data. In particular, the sensitivity of the observable to the short-range part of the interaction is demonstrated. These results indicate that correlations involving light nuclei in pp collisions at the LHC will also provide access to any threebody system in the strange and charm sectors

    Investigating strangeness enhancement in jet and medium via ⁡(1020) production in -Pb collisions at √⁢=5.02TeV

    This work aims to differentiate strangeness produced from hard processes (jetlike) and softer processes (underlying event) by measuring the angular correlation between a high-momentum trigger hadron (h) acting as a jet proxy and a produced strange hadron [f(1020) meson]. Measuring h-phi correlations at midrapidity in p-Pb collisions at root s(NN) 5.02 TeV as a function of event multiplicity provides insight into the microscopic origin of strangeness enhancement in small collision systems. The jetlike and the underlying-event-like strangeness production are investigated as a function of event multiplicity. They are also compared between a lower and higher momentum region. The evolutions of the per-trigger yields within the near-side (aligned with the trigger hadron) and away-side (in the opposite direction of the trigger hadron) jets are studied separately, allowing for the characterization of two distinct jetlike production regimes. Furthermore, the h-phi correlations within the underlying event give access to a production regime dominated by soft production processes, which can be compared directly to the in-jet production. Comparisons between h-phi and dihadron correlations show that the observed strangeness enhancement is largely driven by the underlying event, where the phi/h ratio is significantly larger than within the jet regions. As multiplicity increases, the fraction of the total phi(1020) yield coming from jets decreases compared to the underlying event production, leading to high-multiplicity events being dominated by the increased strangeness production from the underlying event

    Measurement Of Beauty-Quark Production İn Pp Collisions At √S13 Tev Via Non-Prompt D Mesons

    The p(T)-differential production cross sections of non-prompt D-0, D, and D s mesons originating from beauty-hadron decays are measured in proton-proton collisions at a centre-of-mass energy root s 13TeV. The measurements are performed at midrapidity, y < 0.5, with the data sample collected by ALICE from 2016 to 2018. The results are in agreement with predictions from several perturbative QCD calculations. The fragmentation fraction of beauty quarks to strange mesons divided by the one to non-strange mesons, f(s)/(f(u) f(d)), is found to be 0.114 /- 0.016 (stat.) /- 0.006 (syst.) /- 0.003 (BR) /- 0.003 (extrap.). This value is compatible with previous measurements at lower centre-of-mass energies and in different collision systems in agreement with the assumption of universality of fragmentation functions. In addition, the dependence of the non-prompt D meson production on the centre-of-mass energy is investigated by comparing the results obtained at root s 5.02 and 13TeV, showing a hardening of the non-prompt D-meson pT-differential production cross section at higher vs. Finally, the bb production cross section per unit of rapidity at midrapidity is calculated from the non-prompt D-0, D, D-s(), and Lambda()(c) hadron measurements, obtaining d sigma/dy 75.2 /- 3.2 ( stat.) /- 5.2 (syst.)(-3.2)(12.3) (extrap.) mu b

    The Impact of Consumer Motivation on Repurchase in Online Second-Hand Shopping Experience: An Application on Aimed at Measuring University Student Tendencies

    The concept of second-hand shopping, which refers to reusing a garment, electronic device furniture, or any product previously worn or purchased by someone else but not used, is considered a significant phenomenon in today's social marketing environment, where discussions about carbon footprint take place, potentially altering shopping habits. This study investigated the motivations behind consumers' preferences for online second-hand shopping. The research population consisted of university students studying in the central district of Konya. The sample consists of students who had previously had online second-hand shopping experience from this population. The research addresses the limited explanations in the literature regarding this consumer behavior and also aims to assess the validity and reliability of Padmavathy et al.'s (2019) scale, translated into Turkish. Data were collected from 399 participants through an ethically approved online survey and analysis was performed using SPSS 25.0. software package. A total of 399 students were surveyed on a voluntary basis using convenience sampling. The findings indicate that online second-hand shopping is particularly prevalent among university students. The key factors that drive students to repurchase from such platforms include convenience, ease of use, price orientation, and bargaining power. This study is significant as it highlights the importance of social marketing practices

    Social policy is the policy which governments implement to protect their citizens against social risks and ultimately it aims to ensure the welfare of society. Though social policy seems like a new field as an academic discipline, it has been implemented with the insight of philanthropy from the past to our modern era and it has transformed into an obligation for states with the gaining of social rights. Social policy, addressing problems based on employeeemployer relations in a narrow sense, has transformed to comprehensive structure including various fields such as education, employment, healthcare, social security and housing, decent work, and ultimately the whole social layers, aiming to find solutions to all social needs. Social policy practices have become institutionalized, especially with the rise of the welfare state, considering that social problems differ according to countries, therefore social policy has a dynamic feature and should use various social policy instruments while implementing policies to serve welfare practices to their citizens

    Understanding the impact of the pandemic on university students: Changes in sleep, eating patterns, and psychological well-being

    Background: Covid-19 is one of the world's major pandemics. It has affected millions of people in various ways. Objective: This study investigates the influence of pandemic-induced shifts in eating and sleeping behaviors on the psychological well-being of university students. Methods: The study adopted a cross-sectional research design. A total of 604 students participated in the study. The Personal Form, the Psychological Well-Being Index, and the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index were used to collect data. The research was conducted between October 2021 and December 2022. Results: The participants reported a mean psychological well-being score of 40.76±9.38, alongside a Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index score of 7.46±3.30. Analysis revealed a significant negative correlation between the mean psychological well-being scores and the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index scores (p < 0.01). Throughout the pandemic, the participants experienced a decline in physical activity, an increase in their body weight, and a change in their eating habits. While psychological well-being remained relatively high, sleep quality was notably poor. Notably, improvements in psychological well-being corresponded with enhancements in sleep quality, suggesting a reciprocal relationship between the two variables. Conclusions: The pandemic negatively impacted the physical activity and body weight of young adults. This study highlights the importance of promoting physical activity among university students during pandemics and similar crises to reduce adverse effects on body weight. It also highlights the importance of educating students about the importance of healthy sleep and how to maintain good sleep hygiene

    Rosmarinic Acid Exhibits Antifungal and Antibiofilm Activities Against Candida albicans: Insights into Gene Expression and Morphological Changes

    Candida species, opportunistic pathogens that cause various infections, pose a significant threat due to their ability to form biofilms that resist antifungal treatments and immune responses. The increasing resistance of Candida spp. and the limited availability of effective treatments have prompted the research of natural compounds as alternative therapies. This study assessed the antifungal properties of RA against Candida species, focusing on its impact on C. albicans biofilms and the underlying mechanisms. The antifungal efficacy of RA was evaluated using the CLSI M27-A3 microdilution method on both fluconazole-susceptible and -resistant strains. Biofilm formation by C. albicans was assessed through a crystal violet assay, while its antibiofilm activity was analyzed using an MTT assay and field emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM). Gene expression related to biofilm formation was studied using quantitative real-time PCR (qRT-PCR), and statistical analysis was performed with an ANOVA. Among the 28 Candida strains tested, RA exhibited minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) values ranging from 160 to 1280 mu g/mL. At a 640 mu g/mL concentration, it significantly reduced the expression of genes associated with adhesion (ALS3, HWP1, and ECE1), hyphal development (UME6 and HGC1), and hyphal cAMP-dependent protein kinase regulators (CYR1, RAS1, and EFG1) in RAS1-cAMP-EFG1 pathway (p < 0.05). FESEM analysis revealed a reduction in hyphal networks and disruptions on the cell surface. Our study is the first to demonstrate the effects of RA on C. albicans adhesion, hyphae development, and biofilm formation through gene expression analysis with findings supported by FESEM. This approach distinguishes our study from previous studies on the effect of RA on Candida. However, the high MIC values of RA limit its antifungal potential. Therefore, more extensive research using innovative methods is required to increase the antifungal effect of RA

    Charm fragmentation fractions and c(c)over-bar cross section in p-Pb collisions at √sNN5.02TeV

    The total charm-quark production cross section per unit of rapidity d sigma(c (c) over bar)/dy, and the fragmentation fractions of charm quarks to different charm-hadron species f(c -> h(c)), are measured for the first time in p-Pb collisions at root s(NN)5.02 TeV at midrapidity (-0.96 < y < 0.04 in the centre-of-mass frame) using data collected by ALICE at the CERN LHC. The results are obtained based on all the available measurements of prompt production of ground-state charm-hadron species: D-0, D, D-s(), and J/psi mesons, and Lambda()(c) and Xi(0)(c) baryons. The resulting cross section is d sigma(c (c) over bar)/dy219.6 /- 6.3 (stat.)(-11.8)(10.5) (syst.)(-2.9)(8.3) (extr.) /- 5.4 (BR) /- 4.6 (lumi.) /- 19.5 (rapidity shape)15.0 (Omega(0)(c)) mb, which is consistent with a binary scaling of pQCD calculations from pp collisions. The measured fragmentation fractions are compatible with those measured in pp collisions at root s5.02 and 13 TeV, showing an increase in the relative production rates of charm baryons with respect to charm mesons in pp and p-Pb collisions compared with e()e(-) and e(-)p collisions. The p(T)-integrated nuclear modification factor of charm quarks, R-pPb(c (c) over bar)0.91 /- 0.04 (stat.)(-0.09)(0.08) (syst.)(-0.03)(0.0) (5)(extr.) /- 0.03 (lumi.), is found to be consistent with unity and with theoretical predictions including nuclear modifications of the parton distribution functions

    ÖZET Sanat terapisinin özel bir alanı olan dans ve hareket terapisi; bünyesinde yaratıcılığı ve dışavurumculuğu barındıran terapötik bir yöntemdir. Tarihsel süreç incelendiğinde dans; bütün toplumlarda bireyin bedeni, duyguları ve düşüncelerinin bütünleşmesinde önemli rol oynamıştır. Bu sebeple dans ve hareket terapisi bireyin kendisini sözsüz olarak da ifade edebilmesi için güçlü bir araç olarak değerlendirilmektedir. Uluslararası alanda dans ve hareket terapisi farklı yaş aralığında olan ve farklı psikiyatrik hastalık tanısı almış bireyler üzerinde sıklıkla kullanılmaktadır. Ayrıca literatür incelemesi yapıldığında sağlıklı bireylerin de günlük hayatta karşılaştıkları olumsuz duygularla baş edebilmek için dans ve hareket terapisine başvurduğu bildirilmektedir. Ancak ülkemizde dans ve hareket terapisinin sıklıkla kullanılan bir yöntem olmadığı ifade edilmektedir. Bu bağlamda bu derleme kapsamında dans ve hareket terapisi konusunun ulusal anlamda güncel tutulması ve konuyla ilgili psikiyatri hemşireliği alanından örneklere yer verilmesi amaçlanmıştı
