Abstract This article is devoted to the even entire functions, which are the exact solutions for the Laplace and diffusion equations. These functions are considered in the alge-braic number field. We guess that the functions have purely real zeros in the entire complex plane. These are proposed as new connections with algebraic number theory and mathematical physics

Abstract Background: Microfluidic sperm sorting procedure or sperm chip technique is a chemical-free method of selecting sperm using a disposable chip. It is a new gentle alternative for sperm processing which has been produced to obtain sperm with higher rates of motility and better morphology, as well as to reduce DNA fragmentation in sperm with high DNA fragmentation to nearly undetectable levels. We aimed to evaluate sperm chip techniques on clinical pregnancy rates in patients who underwent intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI). Methods: The patients in whom fresh embryo transfer (ET) on Day-3 or 5 after ICSI had been performed were analyzed in this prospective randomized cohort study. Results: Of those, 102 patients underwent ICSI with sperm isolated using sperm chip technique (study group) while 111 patients underwent ICSI with sperm isolated using swim-up technique (control group). No significant difference was observed between the groups in terms of fertilization rate in patients who underwent ET on the 3rd or 5th day. In the patients having ET on Day-3, Grade 1 embryos were obtained similarly between the sperm chip group and the control group. Grade 1 embryos transferred on Day-5 were observed significantly more frequently in the study group (p = 0.050). However, clinical pregnancy rates did not show significant differences between the groups in patients who were transferred on both the 3rd and 5th days. Conclusions: Although sperm selection using by sperm chip technique provides advantage in terms of blastocyst quality, use of this technique does not enhance success in terms of clinical pregnancy. Clinical Trial Registration: Approval was obtained from ClinicalTrials.gov with NCT03355937 approval number

ABSTRACTAim: To assess the relationship between inflammation site and apical periodontitis in patients with severe endodontic pain on periapical radiographs using a periapical index (PAI) scoring system.Methodology: This was a retrospective study of patients who visited the Department of Endodontics, Faculty of Dentistry, X University between January 2020 and December 2021 with the complaint of severe endodontic pain. After application of specific exclusion criteria, 985 patients with severe endodontic pain were included. Inflammation in the patient pop-ulation was classified as follows: a positive response to the electric pulp test (stage 1), a negative response to the electric pulp test without swelling (stage 2) or a negative response to the electric pulp test with swelling (stage 3). Using the PAI scoring system, periapical status was then classified as healthy (PAI: 1 or 2) or unhealthy (PAI: 3, 4 or 5). The level of significance was set at 5% (p<0.05).Results: The lowest severity of apical periodontitis (AP) was found in patients with a posi-tive response to the electric pulp test (stage 1) (p<0.05). Among cases with a negative re-sponse to the electric pulp test, the incidence of AP was significantly higher in patients with swelling than in those without swelling (p<0.05). Conclusions: The present study detected a relationship between the main site of inflam-mation and AP in patients with severe endodontic pain. The presence or absence of AP might serve as a useful indicator in patients with severe endotontic pain

ABSTRACT The inhibition of Phosphodiesterase 5A (PDEA5) has the potential to modulate pulmonary arterialhypertension and cardiovascular diseases. Exploring the cross-reactivity of clinically available PDE5Atherapeutics with PDE6A is intriguing in order to develop highly selective PDE5A compounds in car-diovascular arena. In the current study, we leveraged e-pharmacophore based screening and moleculardynamics (MD) simulation to discover more selective PDE5A inhibitors as compared to the PDE6Acatalytic domain. e-Pharmacophore based mapping of the CoCoCo database (7 million compounds: 150,000,000 conformers), followed by Glide docking, MM-GBSA, and protein–inhibitor interaction ana-lysis, revealed 1536427, 4832637 and 6788240 as stable, tight binders of PDE5A instead of PDE6A.These compounds adhere to Lipinski Rule of Five (RO5) and ADME/Tox criteria. MD simulations ana-lysis showed that 1536427 stays stable and tightly binds to catalytic (Q-region) core of PDE5A catalyticdomain as compared to sildenafil. Pronounced inward motions of the hydrophobic (H-region) and Lidregion indicate the closure of PDE5A-1536427 complex, whereas this region in PDE6A-1536427 ismore open. Significant differences in the interactions, stability, and dynamics of 1536427 wereobserved in the catalytic domain of PDE6A, demonstrating less specificity for PDE6A in comparison toPDE5A. After lead optimization and therapeutic interventions, this proposed lead may emerge as apromising PDE5A selective inhibitor

On the optical soliton solutions of time‑fractional Biswas – Arshed equation including the beta or M‑truncated derivatives

Abstract This article investigates the optical soliton solutions of the time-fractional Biswas–Arshed (BA) equation, which is a new model for soliton transmission through optical fbers where the eigen-phase modulation is negligible and thus removed. We have studied both models including M-truncated or beta derivative operators. Firstly, the time-fractional BA equations have been transformed into a nonlinear ordinary diferential equation using appropriate wave transformations. The singular, singular-periodic, and dark soliton solutions have been derived using the extended rational sine–cosine and sinh–cosh techniques have been applied and the existing conditions for the obtained solutions have been introduced. Utilizing a computer algebraic system, we have verifed that all of the derived solutions satisfy the fractional Biswas–Arshed equation. Additionally, we have compared the results for the beta and M-truncated derivatives and have examined how the equation’s parameters afect the amplitude of the solitons in 2D and 3D graphical demonstrations. The attained solutions may aid in the comprehension of wave propagation in optical fbers and may contribute to the telecommunication sector

Abstract LuFe1-xOsxO3 (x = 0, 0.05, and 0.10) compounds were synthesized and their resistivity, real and imaginary portion of the impedance and frequency-dependent loss tangent were examined at varied temperature settings (from - 100 degrees C to 100 degrees C by 20 degrees C step). Impedance and resistivity values increased as a result of the doping procedure, whereas activation and loss tangent values decreased. According to the X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) study, Lu possesses a 3 + oxidation state, and the oxygen 1s spectrum displayed peaks for lattice oxygen and oxygen vacancy. Particle agglomeration and void formation were visible in scanning electron microscopy (SEM) pictures. Single and double oxygen vacancies and ion hopping between Fe2+ and Fe3+ ions were responsible for the reported activation energies. The frequency-dependent loss tangent results showed that all compounds have a highly low loss factor even at 100 degrees C

Kink soliton dynamic of the (2+1)-dimensional integro-differential Jaulent-Miodek equation via a couple of integration techniques

Abstract In this article, the aim was to obtain kink soliton solutions of the (2+1)-dimensional integro-differential Jaulent-Miodek equation (IDJME), which is a prominent model related to energydependent Schrodinger potential and is used in fluid dynamics, condensed matter physics, optics and many engineering systems. The IDJME is created depending on the parameters and with constant coefficients, and two efficient methods, the generalized Kudryashov and a sub-version of an auxiliary equation method, were applied for the first time. Initially, the traveling wave transform, which comes from Lie symmetry infinitesimals (partial derivative)/(partial derivative x), (partial derivative)/(partial derivative y) and (partial derivative)/(partial derivative t), was applied, and a nonlinear ordinary differential equation (NODE) form was derived. In order to make physical interpretations, appropriate solution sets and soliton solutions were obtained by performing systematic operations in line with the algorithm of the proposed methods. Then, 3D, 2D and contour simulations were made. Interpretations of different kink soliton solutions were made by obtaining results that are consistent with previous studies in the literature. The obtained results contribute to the studies in this field, though the contribution is small

Background. Renal transplantation is the main treatment for end-stage renal disease and has rapidly increased in number over the past 3 decades, leading to an increasing need for organs. The disparity between organ access and the number of patients on the waiting list has led transplant surgeons to use marginal cadaveric donors. As a consequence, the concept of “marginal cadaveric kidney donor” has been developed. Methods. We retrospectively evaluated 120 patients who received kidneys from cadaveric donors between September 2009 and August 2021. The donors were divided into standard and marginal cadaveric donors, and their age, sex, cause of death, criteria of acceptance as marginal donors, and Kidney Donor Profile Index (KDPI) were recorded Results. The donors included 69 men and 51 women, with a mean age of 52.9 § 16.8 years. There were 52 standard donors and 68 marginal donors. Graft and donor survival were compared based on the KDPI values of the donors, and were respectively found to be higher in those with a KDPI of 0 to 60 than in those with a KDPI of 81 to 100 (P = .011 and .039, respectively). There was no significant difference between those with a KDPI of 61 to 80 and the other groups. Conclusions. Expanded criteria donor organs, which offer greater survival benefits than hemodialysis, can be used safely to meet the increasing need for donors. Expanded criteria donor organs should thus be considered a valuable alternative in this patient group
