THE EFFECT OF USING STUDENT TEAMS-ACHIEVEMENT DIVISIONS (STAD) TECHNIQUE ON THE ELEVENTH GRADE STUDENTS STRUCTURE ACHIEVEMENT AT MAN 1 JEMBER
Abstract: The aim of this research is to investigate the significant effect of using Student Teams-Achievement Divisions (STAD) technique on the eleventh grade students’ structure achievement at MAN 1 Jember. This research used Nonequivalent-Groups Posttest-Only Design, and the population was all of the eleventh grade students of MAN 1 Jember in the 2012/2013 academic year. The samples were taken randomly by lottery. The data of this research were gained from the results of the structure (passive voice) test conducted after the treatment was given. The treatment for the experimental group was teaching passive voice by using STAD technique, while the treatment for the control group was teaching passive voice by using lecturing method. The data obtained were statistically analyzed by using independent sample t-test with the significant level of 5%. The result of this research revealed that Student Teams-Achievement Divisions (STAD) technique had a significant effect on the eleventh grade students’ structure achievement at MAN 1 Jember in the 2012/2013 academic year. IMPROVING THE EIGHTH GRADE STUDENTS’ PARTICIPATION AND THEIR READING COMPREHENSION ACHIEVEMENT BY USING INDONESIAN FABLES AT SMP N 2 AMBULU JEMBER
Abstract : This article is intended to describe the research result on the use of Indonesian Fables in improving VIII D Grade students’ participation and their reading comprehension achievement. The research problem was the students’ experienced difficulties in comprehending words, sentences, paragraph and text of the reading material. To solve this problem, the material in the form of Narrative (Fables) was used to improve students’ active participation and their reading comprehension achievement. The research design was classroom action research and the primary data were collected by using reading comprehension test and observation. The result of the research showed that the use of Indonesian Fables could improve the students’ active participation and their reading comprehension achievement. ANALISIS LEVEL PERTANYAAN PADA SOAL CERITA BERDASARKAN TAKSONOMI SOLO PADA BUKU TEKS MATEMATIKA SMK PROGRAM KEAHLIAN AKUNTANSI DAN PENJUALAN KELAS X TERBITAN ERLANGGA DAN PUSAT PERBUKUAN DEPARTEMEN PENDIDIKAN NASIONAL
Abstract : This research aims to determine the percentage of each level questions about the narrative question on mathematics textbook for first year class of SMK for Accounting and Sales skill program based on SOLO taxonomy. The data used in the research is the form of narrative questions on the mathematics textbook. To analyze the data, we use descriptive analysis with a qualitative approach. The result of the data analysis showes that are 327 questions in the mathematics textbooks SMK for Accounting and Sales skill program written by Tuti Masrihani et.al and also written by To’ali. The percentage of level questions based on SOLO taxonomy are: (a) Tuti Masrihani’s book is 0% in the Unistructural level; 22.50% in the Multistructural level; 77.50% in the Relational level and 0% the Abstract Extended level. (b) To'ali’s book is 0% in the Unistructural level; 37.13% in the Multistructural level; 62.29% in the Relational level and 0% in the Extended Abstract level. Finally, the result show that based on SOLO taxonomy, level of the question from the books, Relational level is more than Multistructural level. THE EFFECT OF USING THINK-PAIR-SHARE TECHNIQUE ON THE EIGHTH GRADE STUDENTS’ READING COMPREHENSION ACHIEVEMENT AT SMPN 3 BANGSALSARI JEMBER
Abstract : This research was intended to investigate whether or not there was a significant effect of using Think-Pair-Share technique on the eighth grade students’ reading comprehension achievement at SMPN 3 Bangsalsari Jember. Especially in reading comprehension, many students still have difficulties in understanding the reading text. Thus, the teacher’s roles becomes important in teaching learning process especially in selecting the suitable teaching learning model to make the students easier in comprehending the English reading text. One of the techniques that can be used and applied by the teacher is Think-Pair-Share technique. Think-Pair-Share technique is one of the types of cooperative learning that consist of three steps; Think, Pair and Share. Thus, to know whether or not there was a significant effect of using Think-Pair-Share technique on reading comprehension achievement; Think-Pair-Share technique was used as teaching technique in teaching reading in this research. Abstract : Based on secondary data published by the center of educational assessment national education department, we can consider for in topic in any exam test. Research was condocted to describe the factors that cause low mastery learns high school math exam, for math n science program school year 2009/2010 in Banyuwangi district. THE EFFECT OF USING FLASH VIDEOS ON THE EIGHTH GRADE STUDENTS’ LISTENING COMPREHENSION ACHIEVEMENT AT SMP NEGERI 6 JEMBER
Abstract.This research was intended to know the significant effect of using flash videos on the eighth grade students’ listening comprehension achievement at SMPNegeri 6Jember. The research design was quasi experimental research withPre-test and Post-test Design. The population of the research was the eighth grade students at SMPN 6 Jember, while the respondents were the students of class VIIIB and VIIIC that were chosen purposively through lottery. The data were collected by using listening tests, interview, and documentation. Thedata collected were analyzed by using t-test formula through SPSS. The result of the computation showed that the significant value of t-test was0.043. It was lower than 0.05. So, it can be concluded that there was a significant effect of using flash videos on the eighth grade students’ listeningcomprehension achievement at SMP Negeri 6 Jember. ANALISIS SOAL UJIAN NASIONAL (UN) MATEMATIKA SMK TAHUN AJARAN 2011/2012 BERDASARKAN TAKSONOMI SOLO
Abstract : This research aims to determine the percentage of each level questions about the national examination mathematics vocational school 2011/2012 school year based on SOLO taxonomy, and to determine the composition of the SOLO taxonomy level at each National Competency Standards Graduates Examination (SKLUN) Mathematics vocational school 2011/2012 school year. Sources of data in this study include documents mathematic questions vocational school national examination in 2012 to three vocational groups, are : (1) the Technology, Health, and Agriculture, (2) the Tourism, Arts, Social Studies, Office Administration and Technology household had; and (3) the Accounting and Sales. To analyze the data used descriptive analysis with a qualitative approach. The result shows that the percentage of each level on the SOLO taxonomy questions about the national examination mathematics vocational school 2011/2012 school year for Unistructural (U), Multistructural (M), Relational (R) and extended abstract (E) are respectively 0.84%, 38.33%, 60.83% and 0%. The composition of the SOLO taxonomy level on each SKLUN vocational school 2011/2012 school year are vary each vocational group. However, each vocational group are equally dominated by SKL containing two levels which level questions Multistructural and Relational. IMPROVING CLASS VIII A STUDENTS’ SPEAKING ACHIEVEMENT BY GIVING VERBAL AND NON-VERBAL REINFORCEMENT AT SMPN 1 SUKOWONO JEMBER IN THE 2011/2012 ACADEMIC YEAR
Abstract.This classroom action research was intended to improveclass VIII A students’ speaking achievement at SMPN 1 Sukowono. There are 37 students and most of them have difficulty in speaking English.To solve the problems, the researcher used reinforcement. The form of reinforcement was verbal and non-verbal reinforcement. The result in the first cycle showed 70.27% of the students were active in the first meeting and 75.67% of the students were active in the second meeting.There were 67.5% of the students achieved ≥65 in speaking test. Dealing with the results, it was necessary to continue the action to the second cycle.In the second cycle, 81% of the students were active in the first meeting and 83.78% of the students were active in the second meeting, and 78.37%of the students got ≥65 in speaking test. It means that the minimum requirement percentage of the students who got ≥65 had been achieved in cycle II.Thus, teaching speaking by giving verbal and non-verbal reinforcement could improve the students’ active participation and their speaking achievement in two cycles. PERKEMBANGAN AGAMA ISLAM DI DESA WONOKERTO KECAMATAN SUKAPURA KABUPATEN PROBOLINGGO TAHUN 1983-2012
Abstract : Wonokerto is a Village Tengger Moslim that the majority of resident. This study aimed to determine the development of islam in the Wonokerto village years 1983-2012, using the historyof method, religion sociology approaches, and acculturation theory. The results showed that the religion of Islam in the village began to growed Wonokerto since 1983 were characterized by the establishment of Al-Hidayah mosque in the Krajan. The development of Islam in the village Wonokerto not be separated from the work done by officials structural as village head, village secretary, and religious leaders.
