PENGGUNAAN METODE STAD UNTUK MENINGKATKAN HASIL BELAJAR IPA TENTANG MENGIDENTIFIKASI CIRI KHUSUS YANG DIMILIKI HEWAN PADA SISWA KELAS VI SDN DARUNGAN 02TANGGUL
Abstrak.Penelitian ini diterapkan pada siswa Kelas 6 SDN Darungan 02 semester I tahun pelajaran 2010/2011 dengan jumlah siswa 21 anak untuk mata pelajaran IPA tentang Ciri khusus yang dimiliki hewan. Hampir disemua proses pembelajaran, nilai yang diperoleh siswa ini masih dibawah Kriteria Ketuntasan Minimal (KKM). Standar ketuntasan minimal nilai siswa secara individu adalah 75, secara klasikal nilai ketuntasan minimal harus mencapai 75% dari jumlah siswa, sedangkan pada tahap prasiklus ini hanya 6 siswa (25%) yang tuntas nilainya dari 21 siswa, sedangkan sejumlah 15 siswa (75%) masih mendapatkan nilai di bawah ketuntasan minimal. Berkaitan dengan hal tersebut di atas peneliti dapat memberikan gambaran tentang tujuan ini yang menyangkut berbagai aspek. Sehingga tujuan penelitian ini akan benar-benar mengarah pada rumusan masalah yang ada. Adapun tujuan penelitian adalah untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa dalam mengidentifikasi cirri khusus yang dimiliki hewan di Kelas 6 SDN Darungan 02 Kecamatan Tanggul Kabupaten Jember tahun 2010/2011 melalui metode STAD. Padasiklus I Siswa yang mencapai ketuntasan nilai (nilai ≥ 70) sebanyak 6 anak atau sebesar29% dari total 21 siswa. Sisanya sebanyak 15 siswa atau sebesar 71% dari total 21 siswa belum mencapai KKM. Pada siklus I ini standar ketuntasan minimal individu dan klasikal belum tercapai, karena hanya 29% siswa yang mendapat tuntasnilai ≥ 70. Dan pada siklus II Rata-rata nilai kelas mencapai 84,00. Siswa yang mencapai KKM (nilai ≥ 70) sebanyak 21 anak atau sebesar 100 % dari total 21 siswa. Pada siklus II ini standar ketuntasan minimal individu dan klasikal sudah tercapai, karena 100% siswa sudah mencapai nilai tuntas, yaitu ≥ 70 Kata kunci :Metode STAD, Hasil Belajar, IP
PENINGKATAN HASIL BELAJAR IPA MATERI GAYA MAGNET MELALUI METODE KETERAMPILAN PROSES SAINS PADA SISWA KELAS 5 A SDN TANGGUL WETAN 02 JEMBER
Abstrak.Hasil belajar siswa-siswa Kelas 5 A SDN Tanggul Wetan 02 Kabupaten Jember yang secara rerata belum memenuhi nilai Standar Kemampuan Minimal yaitu 7,5. Guru memilih salah satu keterampilan yang dapat dilatihkan dalam hal ini dengan melatih merencanakan eksperimen. Demikian halnya yang terjadi pada siswa Kelas 5 A SDN Tanggul Wetan 02, mereka tidak mengalami kesulitan yang berarti manakala harus menghafal konsep IPA, namun mereka akan kesulitan jika masalah yang dihadapi adalah memecahkan masalah yang membutuhkan analisis. Hal ini dimungkinkan karena siswa Kelas 5 A SDN Tanggul Wetan 02 kurang terlatih dalam pembelajaran yang menggali inkuiri sehingga mereka terjebak dalam hafalan semata. Adapun tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan metode keterampilan proses sains materi gaya magnet dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar IPA pada siswa Kelas 5 A SDN Tanggul Wetan 02 Jember tahun pelajaran 2009-2010. Mendeskripsikan pelaksanaan metode Keterampilan Proses Sains dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar IPA materi gaya magnet pada siswa Kelas 5 A SDN Tanggul Wetan 02 Jember tahun pelajaran 2009-2010.Ketuntasan belajar siswa dari masing-masing siklus ada peningkatan. Pada siklus I siswa mendapat nilai dibawah 65 sebanyak 10 siswa dengan prosentase 35 %, siswa yang mendapat nilai antara 65-75 sebanyak 16 siswa dengan prosentase 57 %, yang mendapat nilai antara 76-100 sebanyak 2 siswa dengan prosentase 7 %. Kelompok ini merupakan siswa yang sudah tuntas, akan tetapi sedapat mungkin nilainya ditingkatkan semaksimal mungkin. Pada siklus II siswa yang mendapat nilai 76-100. ketuntasan mencapai 100%. PENERAPAN PEMBELAJARAN CONTEXTUAL TEACHING AND LEARNING (CTL) BERBASIS PEMECAHAN MASALAH MODEL POLYA UNTUK MENINGKATKAN HASIL BELAJAR SISWA KELAS VIII SMP NEGERI 5 JEMBER SUB POKOK BAHASAN SISTEM PERSAMAAN LINEAR DUA VARIABEL TAHUN AJARAN 2012/2013
Abstract : Contextual Teaching and Learning is one of learning method that make students to learn mathematics by connecting the material to the real life. Polya model is one of problem solving type that help the students solving mathematic problems. This type of Learning can increase the ability of student activities and student achievement. Students were guided to learn with their teamwork in solving problem. The subject of the research is grade VIII F students of SMPN 5 Jember. The data collection method used in this research are observation, interview and test. From this learn, students can constructs their knowledge by themself. The result show the student activities and student achievement increase in every level. PENERAPAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN KOOPERATIF TIPE NHT (NUMBERED HEAD TOGETHER) DENGAN AUTHENTIC ASSESSMENT UNTUK MENINGKATKAN HASIL BELAJAR SISWA KELAS VII F PADA POKOK BAHASAN ARITMATIKA SOSIAL DI SMP NEGERI 2 ARJASA TAHUN AJARAN 2012/2013
Abstract : Cooperative learning model type of NHT with Authentic assessment is one of learning model that involve student’s actively and assessment not only from student’s test. The goal of this research is to study the implementation of cooperative learning model type of NHT with Authentic assessment on social arithmetic topic in SMPN 2 Arjasa at VII F class in the 2012/2013 academic year, increase student’s activity in the implementation of cooperative learning model type of NHT with Authentic assessment on social arithmetic topic in SMPN 2 Arjasa at VII F class in the 2012/2013 academic year, and increase student’s learning result in the implementation of cooperative learning model type of NHT with Authentic assessment on social arithmetic topic in SMPN 2 Arjasa at VII F class in the 2012/2013 academic year. This research use two cycles, every cycle consist of planning, action, observation, and reflection. The data collecting method in this research is observation, documentation, interview, and test method. The result of this research are can improve student’s learning result. In cycle I, the percentage of student’s learning result was 46,34% and in cycle II the percentage of student’s learning result was 87,81%. SITUS DUPLANG DI DESA KAMAL KECAMATAN ARJASA KABUPATEN JEMBER : HISTORISITAS DAN PEMANFAATANNYA SEBAGAI SUMBER PEMBELAJARAN SEJARAH
Abstract : Duplang site in Jember regency has a historical value high enough so it can be used as a source of historical learning. This research is aimed to examine and describe the historiaty and use the Duplang Site as a source of historical learning with using historical methode. Analysis and interpretation result prove that prehistoric relics on the Duplang Site has a historical value. It can be known by the historic period in Kamal village was in habited by early humans. MENINGKATKAN KETERAMPILAN BERBICARA SISWA KELAS VIIIA MTS ZAINUL BAHAR MELALUI STRATEGI PEMBELAJARAN KOOPERATIF TIPE THINK PAIR SHARE (TPS)
Abstract : The lack of students’ speaking skill was one the causes of students’ inactivity in the classroom. Speaking skills that had not been mastered by the students were linguistic factors and non-linguistic factors. The linguistic factors that had been mastered yet by students were pronunciation, intonation, tone pressure, inappropriate duration, and also the sentences used by students were still not effective. The nonlinguistic factors that had been mastered yet by students were lack of bravery, fluency, loudness, and mastering the topic. One of the ways to overcome the problems was by applying cooperative learning strategy through think pair share type (TPS). This research was called Classroom Action Research (CAR). The approaches used in this research were qualitative and quantitative approaches. The respondents of this research were students of class VIII A at MTs Zainul Bahar, Wringin sub-distric, Bondowoso regency. The data analysis was administered whether or not there was an improvement of students’ speaking skill. The result showed that there was an improvement of students’ speaking skill with the percentage of pre-cycle was 25%, the first cycle was 46,9%, the second cycle was 87,5%. MENINGKATKAN HASIL BELAJAR FISIKA MENGGUNAKAN MODEL ORIENTASI IPA (PBL DAN MULTI REPRESENTASI) PADA KONSEP MEKANIKA DI SMA
Abstract. The implementation of Science Orientation instructional model was intended to improve the quality of students interaction in the learning process and to enhance physics learning achievement of XI IPA1 class students at SMA Negeri (State Senior High School) 3 Jember. Data were collected by observation and tests and then were analyzed using descriptive data analysis. The results of analysis showed that (1) the implementation of Science Orientation instructional model could improve the quality of students interaction in learning physics and (2) the application of Science Orientation learning model could enhance the achievement of students' basic competencies of physics. THE EFFECT OF USING AUTHENTIC MATERIALS ON THE TENTH GRADE STUDENTS’ READING COMPREHENSION ACHIEVEMENT AT MA ISLAMIYAH SYAFI’IYAH SUMBERANYAR-PAITON IN THE 2012-2013 ACADEMIC YEAR
Abstract: Reading is an activity that can be considered as a crucial aspect of one’s language ability because this skill deals with information and communication. Almost all of the teaching learning processes involve reading in the activities. Though reading is regarded as an important skill, many students experience difficulties in comprehending the reading text. Those difficulties appeared because the students had low motivation and posses limited vocabulary. The use of authentic materials in teaching reading is appropriate since they relate directly to the real world. This research applied a quasi-experimental with non-equivalent pretest-posttest design. The research was conducted at MA Islamiyah Syafi’iyah Sumberanyar-Paiton with the tenth graders as the research population. Two classes were chosen as the research sample by using lottery. Class XB which had 28 students was the experimental class and class XC which consisted of 20 students as the control class. The students’ pretest and posttest scores from experimental class and control class were calculated by using ANCOVA (Analysis of Covariance) through SPSS (Statistical Packages for Social Science). The result of ANCOVA showed that the use of authentic materials had a significant effect on the students reading comprehension achievement. AN ANALYSIS ON THE GENDER-BASED DIFFERENCE OF THE EIGHT YEAR STUDENTS’ RECOUNT PARAGRAPH WRITING BASED ON THE GRAMMATICAL ERRORS AT SMPN 3 JENGGAWAH JEMBER
Abstract : Women and men are indeed different, their differencenot only in the physical appearance butalso occurs in the aspect of linguistics. However, the records on their differences in linguistics aspect have rarely been found. Therefore, an analysis on the gender-based difference of the eight year students’ recount paragraph writing based on the grammatical errors at SMPN 3 Jenggawah was carried out to know their differences. Furthermore, writing is difficult to be mastered by the students. This article is intended todescribe the differences between the eighth year female and male students’ grammatical errors that focused on the students errors in producing simple past tense, errors in the use of prepositions, errors in the use of conjunctions, errors in the use of articles, errors in the use of pronouns, and errors in the use of noun pluralization.A descriptive analysis of students’ errors was done using errors analysis. It was found the results revealed that female students were better in writing recount paragraph than male student. Data were obtained from writing test, interview and documentation. THE EFFECT OF USING INDUCTIVE METHOD ON THE SEVENTH GRADE STUDENTS’ TENSE ACHIEVEMENT AT MTS SUNAN AMPEL KERTOSUKO KRUCIL PROBOLINGGO IN THE 2012/2013 ACADEMIC YEAR
Abstract : Tenses are very important in learning English because they become the basic knowledge in mastering the language skills. To teach tenses, inductive method is considered as an appropriate teaching method because it can make the students’ actively involved in learning tenses and help them more easily understand the subjects. This research was intended to know whether or not there was a significant effect of using the inductive method on the students’ tense achievement. The findings showed that inductive method significantly affected the students’ tense achievement. The mean score of the experimental group was higher than the mean score of the control group (66.9792 ˃ 62.4038). Key Words : tenses, inductive method, students’ tense achievemen
