    Abstract.Inqury approach is considered to be able to improve student’s intellectual potentially informulates the problem, making hypothesis, collecting the data, testing the hypothesis, and making conclusions. This research intended to know the  quality of inquiry-based student book that have been developed and toincrease the student achievementsafter uses inquiry-based student bookon the pollution and environmental damage subject for VII grade of state junior high school 1 Maesan Bondowoso. This research refered to Borg and Gall model, but it is restricted untilthe seventh step (research and information collecting, planning, develop preliminary form of product, preliminary field testing, main product revision, main field testing, operational product revision). This research used 5 validators to assess the quality of the book and, 12 students in preliminary field testing and 21 students in main field testing. Data obtained from student and teacher questionnaires, validator sheets, questionnaires of the legitility and difficulty level, pretest, postest and student’s response questionnaires. The result of this research showed that inquiry-based student book can improve average of student achievements by 25,90.     Abstrak. Penelitian Tindakan Kelas ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui proses pembelajaran pada mata pelajaran MPA (Melakukan Prosedur Administrasi) di SMKN 4 jurusan administrasi perkantoran 1, dengan menggunakan model treffinger dengan pendekatan kooperatif. Pembelajaran ini merupakan suatu model pembelajaran yang mendorong berfikir kreatif yaitu suatu proses berfikir yang membuat siswa berusaha untuk menemukan hubungan-hubungan baru, mendapat kan cara-cara baru dalam memecahkan suatu masalah. Pembelajaran model treffinger terdiri dari 3 tingkat yaitu fungsi divergen, proses berfikir dan perasaan yang majemuk,serta keterlibatan dalam masalah-masalah riil. Pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini dilakukan dengan observasi dan tes. Yang menjadi subyek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X jururan Administrasi Perkantoran 1. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa langkah-langkah model pembelajaran Treffinger yang dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif pada mata pelajaran MPA (melakukan prosedur administrasi).     Abstract. At learning process, the students cannot improve their creativities and their abilities to think critical. They are the object of learning process. Based on the writer’s experience and observation, this condition also happens at SMP 1 Kalisat, so the student’s achievement and the motivation is low. Cooperative learning is an approach to organize classroom activities into academic and social learning experiences. It differs from group work, and it has been described as "structuring positive interdependence."Students must work in groups to complete tasks collectively toward academic goals. Unlike individual learning, which can be competitive in nature, students learning cooperatively capitalize on one another’s resources and skills (asking one another for information, evaluating one another’s ideas, monitoring one another’s work, etc.).Furthermore, the teacher's role changes from giving information to facilitating students' learning. Everyone succeeds when the group succeeds. Ross and Smyth (1995) describe successful cooperative learning tasks as intellectually demanding, creative, open-ended, and involve higher order thinking tasks.Five essential elements are identified for the successful incorporation of cooperative learning in the classroom. The writer makes a research by using cooperative learning on material separation mixture at VII/D. Based on the data analysis,  the rate of the students’ achievement is 68.29 at the first cycle  . The criterion throughness minimal is 75 at SMP 1 Kalisat, so the students’ achievement are not complete.The colaboration among groups is 81,66. This need second cycle. At the second cycle the rate of students’ achievement is 87.5, the colaboration among  groups is 86.94. Based on the data, there is an improvement of  students’ achievement. The category is good so it can be concluded that by cooperative learning, there is an improvement of students’ achievement at VII/D SMP 1 Kalisat on the  semester I 2013/2014 Keywords : The improvement of students’ achievemnent by cooperative learning

    PENINGKATAN HASIL BELAJAR MATEMATIKA MATERI BANGUN RUANG SISI LENGKUNG MELALUI METODE COLEGA MEDIASI

    Abstract. A "Colega Mediasi" method is a part of cooperatif learning method which uses the real mediator. The existence of mediator in the learning process is believed to be able to increase the student achievement of mathematic and the students learning activities. Therefore this research was intended to apply the colega mediasi method to students of IX grade SMPN 1 Dononorojo, Pacitan. The type of this research is a classroom action research of three cycles. The data were collected by observation, interview, test and performance assessment. The research shows that the student achievement score of each cycle I, II, III are respectively 50%, 84.38%, 90.63%; and the students activities score of each cycle I, II, III are respectively 51.25%, 78.125%,   86.25%. It can be concluded that the implementation of Colega Mediasi method can improve the result of student achievement as well as the student activities.     Abstract.Thinking Aloud Pair Problem Solving (TAPPS) learning method is used as an alternative to conventional teaching methods. TAPPS is a learning method that can improve the learning achievement of cognitive domain, affective domain and student activities. The purpose of this research is to test the effectiveness of cooperative learning model with Thinking Aloud Pair Problem Solving (TAPPS) on learning achievement of Biology and students activities. This research uses two classes for the sample, the control class and the experimental class. The learning process in the classroom of control use the conventional method and the experimental class use TAPPS. For the cognitive, the data has been analyzed use ANACOVA. Based on the analysis, it can be concluded that the TAPPS method significant effect on students' cognitive learning achievement (p = 0.000). For the affective domain, the data were analyzed use Independent sample T-test. Based on the analysis, it can be concluded that there are differences in affective learning achievement using TAPPS (p = 0.000). Analysis of student activity use Independent sample T-test obtained p = 0.000. In other words, there are significantly differences in the results of the student activity using TAPPS method. To measure effectiveness, use the Gain formula with results 0,529 for the experimental class and 0,158 for the control class. It can be concluded that the TAPPS method is more effective improve cognitive learning achievement than conventional methods. Keywords: Learning Achievement, Students Activities, TAPPS

    Abstract. The research aims to know the process and result of development of mathematics learning instruments based on realictic mathemathics education for cube and cuboid topic. Learning instrumentsdevelopment model refers to 4D Thiagarajanmodels which has 4 steps namely define, design, develop, and disseminate. The subject of research is students of VIII-F class SMPN 5 Jember in even semester academic year 2012-2013.The data of research are obtained by validation sheet, observation sheet of teacher and students activities, questionnaire, and evaluation test.The product of this research are lesson plan, student handbook, worksheet, and evaluation test.The result shows that the learning instrumentsqualifies validity, practical, and effective criteria.     Abstrak. Inkuiri ilmiah merupakan strategi pembelajaran untuk menumbuhkan kemampuan berpikir, bekerja dan bersikap ilmiah serta mengkomunikasikannya sebagai aspek penting kecakapan hidup. Rendahnya gairah belajar disebabkan oleh ketidaktepatan metodologi pembelajaran, serta berakar pada paradigma pendidikan konvensional yang selalu menggunakan metode pengajaran klasikal dan ceramah sebagai metode mengajar andalan, tanpa pernah diselingi berbagai metode yang menantang untuk berusaha, menumbuhkan kegairahan kerja, dapat dinikmati, dihayati oleh peserta didik. Oleh karena itu, pembelajaran IPA di SD/MI menekankan pada pemberian pengalaman belajar secara langsung melalui penggunaan dan pengembangan ketrampilan proses dan sikap ilmiah (KTSP DEPDIKNAS, 2006:109). Berpijak pada latar belakang tersebut di atas rumusan masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah: apakah secara inkuiri ilmiah dapat meningkatkan aktifitas dan hasil belajar mata pelajaran IPA materi “sistem tata surya” siswa Kelas VI  SDN Darungan 04, Tanggul, Jember semester gasal tahun 2010/2011? Penelitian ini merupakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas. Dalam penelitian ini model yang digunakan yaitu model spiral Kemmis dan Mc.Taggart bahwa dalam suatu penelitian itu dimulai dengan rencana, tindakan, pengamatan, refleksi, perencanaan kembali merupakan dasar untuk suatu ancang-ancang pemecahan permasalahan. Hasil dari penelitian Pada siklus I siswa mendapat nilai dibawah 65 sebanyak 50%, siswa yang mendapat nilai antara 65-75 sebanyak prosentase 40%. Pada siklus II menunjukkan peningkatan siswa yang mendapat 65-75 sebanyak 50% siswa mendapat nilai antara 76-100 sebanyak 25%. Pada siklus III siswa yang mendapat nilai 76-100. ketuntasan mencapai 100%. Kata Kunci: Aktivitas dan Hasil belajar, IPA, Inquir

    Abstract.The research aims to know the application of accelerated teaching for decrease student’s mistakes for prism and pyramid topic at eight grade of juniorhigh school. Accelerated teaching is natural learning model’s, flexible, suitable to the character and styles learning of students. The subject of research is students of VIII B class SMPN 8 Jember in even semester academic year 2012/ 2013. The kinds of student’s mistakes consist of error using data, error of theorem or definition, technical errors, and another mistakes. This research design is Classroom Action Research (CAR) and the method of data collecting using observation, interview, test and documentation. The result of research indicate that the result of learning activity increase of student’s activity of cycle I reach 90% and cycle II reach 98,64%. While the student’s mistakes at cycle I reach 49,5% and cycle II 37%. So, the mode of teaching can increase student’s activity and decrease the student’s mistakes.   Keywords:accelerated teaching, prism and pyramid, student’s activity, student’s mistakes
