TAMPILAN PRODUKSI SUSU SAPI PERAH YANG MENDAPAT PERBAIKAN MANAJEMAN PEMELIHARAAN
A study was addressed to evaluate the effect of rearing management improvement particularly for feed and housing management on milk production of dairy cattle. The investigation was performed at Kembang Village, Ampel Sub-District of Boyolali District, a location for Prima Tani implementation, involved the participation of 8 people of farmer group members. A group of four cattle fed the traditional diet, whereas the remaining four were offered the introduced diet containing elephant grass + commercial concentrate + cassava tuber. Measurements were made for feed intake, milk production, and milk density. Results showed that milk production of dairy cattle under the improved management was higher (P<0.05) than that under the traditional one (7.08+ 0.31 versus 4.59 + 0.39 l/head/d). It was determined that the average of dry matter intake of the cattle under the traditional rearing management was 7.79 + 0.61 kg/head/d, while the cattle received the introduced diet consumed 8.29 + 0.61 kg dry matter/head/d. However, the average milk density of the cattle under the traditional rearing management (1.0253) was similar to that of cattle under the improved management (1.0271). The conclusion was that improvement of rearing management increased the amount of milk produced by dairy cattle
PENGARUH PEMBERIAN BIOMASSA Tithonia diversifolia DAN BAKTERI ASAM LAKTAT TERHADAP PERTUMBUHAN JAGUNG, KETERSEDIAAN FOSFOR DAN ALUMUNIUM PADA TANAH ULTISOL
One of the potential soil to increase food production in Indonesia is Ultisols but having problems in abiotic stresses especially high exchangeable Aluminum (Aldd) and low pH. This study aimed to determine the effect of Tithonia diversifolia biomass and lactic acid bacteria to increase soil phosphor, reduce aluminum toxicity and promote maize plant growth in Ultisol. Experimental design was completely ramdomized design with 3 factors such as the addition of lactic acid bacteria in the carrier, compost biomass of Tithonia diversifolia and phosphor fertilizer. Application of Lactic Acid Bacteria and Tithonia and P fertilizers simultaneously increasing maize plant growth and reduce Aldd especially on a month after application
ANALISIS NILAI PELANGGAN TERHADAP KEPUASAN DAN LOYALITAS (Studi Kasus Pada BMT Cengkareng)
This article exposed how customer get value customer in terms of adequated and desired services. For this purpose, the study used SEM method in order to show up the direct relationship among value customer and loyality.Result of the study indicated that customer value has high significant influenced to desired services, but it has negative influenced to loyality. It means that customer loyality will be decrease if their expectation and perception of satisfaction is too high. Meanwhile, the study pointed out that positive and significant influence of adequated services to loyallity. So, whenever adequated services goes up it will increase customer loyality as well
UJI TINGKAT KOMPATIBILITAS DAN UMUR MEKAR BUNGA PADA PERSILANGAN INTERGENERIK ANGGREK Vanda sp DAN Phalaenopsis sp
The study aims to determine the effect of compatibility level to the intergeneric crossing ability and the age of the flower blooming of Vanda sp and Phalaenopsis sp. Research was conducted at a screen house and Plant Breeding Laboratory of Faculty of Agriculture, Sebelas Maret University. Crossing is done by inserting pollen of male parent to the stigma of the female parent which were selected based on a predetermined number of crosses. The observations included: percentage of successful crosses, time of fruit formation, durability of hanging fruit, the percentage of fruit ready for harvest, the percentage of the fallen fruit, and the level of compatibility. The study concluded that the intergeneric cross between Vanda sp and Phalaenopsis sp can be done until the age of 3 weeks after the flowers bloom. The fruit begins to form at the age of 6-12 day after crosses (DAC) and can be harvested after reaching the age of about three months. The intergeneric cross between Vanda sp and Phalaenopsis sp is compatible, because this was capable of producing the fruit of more than 60%
THE ROLE OF AGRICULTURAL SECTOR IN BANTUL REGION DEVELOPMENT
This research is aimed to find out the ability of agricultural sector in supporting government’s development and the role of agricultural sector in the development of Bantul region. This research uses descriptive method. In deciding the research site, the research uses purposive method. The data used in this research is the annual time series data within 2005-2007. Carrying capacity ratio analysis is used to analyze the data regarding the ability of a certain region is supporting food availibility, which scaling the amount of the owned land in a certain region and the population within, whereas everything deal with agricultural sector in developing Bantul region is analyzed by calculating the Regional Domestic Gross Product percentage of agricultural sector, which scaling the agricultural sector Regional Domestic Gross Product and all sector Regional Domestic Gross Product. The result of this research showed that average value of Bantul Region’s Carrying Capacity Ratio during 2005-2007 is 1,46. The result for the agricultural sector’s rule in supporting the development of Bantul Region showed that agricultural sector is playing a major rule, with its highest percentage during 2005-2007 for 24,49% or >11,11%, which means that agricultural is the main sector in contributing the Regional Domestic Gross Product of Bantul Region
PENGUATAN KELEMBAGAAN KELOMPOK TANI PEMERHATI SUNGAI “NGUDI MULYO” DESA GEDONGREJO, GIRIWOYO, WONOGIRI
LOCATION: was conducted at Ngulang, Gedongrejo, Giriwoyo, Wonogiri district. With the TITLE: the use of Syperus ratandus (rumput gelagah) and Vetivera zizanoides (akar wangi) fr river edge and riverbank reinforcement at Ngulang, Gedongrejo, Giriwoyo, Wonogiri district. PURPOSE: 1) to response the desire and requirement if surrounding society to protect and prevent he Bengawan Solo upper riverbank from sliding and flood threat; 2) socialization a model of soil and water conservation by cultivating Syperus ratandus and Vetivera zizanoides that supported by the society; 3) to motivate the society for cultivate the Vetivera zizanoides, which both economical, conservation innovation and networking. METHOD: 1) field observation; 2) focus group discussion. RESULT: plot model conservation 700x20 m (left and right side of riverbank) and giving example akar wangi one lane all along the river (±700 m), 2) unionize a riverbank observers group. CONCLUSION: 1) the surrounding society of Ngulang are positively response to this activity; 2) the riverbank observer group of the surrounding society was formed, called as “Ngudi Mulyo”; 3) plot model conservation (±700 m); 4) when the river flood, akar wangi and gelagah actually can protect and prevent the riverbank. IMPLICATION: 1) institution strengthening, 2) development for the peasants that do not obtain the facilities at this program, 3) training of livestock waste and litter management, 4) market network strengthening
ANALISIS POTENSI DAN STRATEGI PENGEMBANGAN JAMU INSTAN DI KABUPATEN KARANGANYAR
This study aims to map the agro-rural instant herbal medicine in Karanganyar District, identifying rank (potential) of rural agro instant herbal medicine in the District of Karanganyar, formulating development strategies agroindusti rural development strategy and identify herbal instant maps of rural agro-industry business chain instant herbal medicine in the District of Karanganyar. The research method using descriptive analytical method, the technique of collecting data using surveys and focus group techniques. Analysis tools used include: Comparative Exponential Method, Borda method, SWOT and Value Chain. The results showed that the agro-instant herbal medicine spread in Jatipuro, Jenawi, Jumantono, Karanganyar, Kerjo, Mojogedang and Tawangmangu sub district. Instant herbal medicine al agroindustry is ranked second seed. Instant herbal medicine development strategy include: Increasing the ability of producers in diversifying the instant herbal products at affordable prices the market, increase market access for instant herbal product diversification, increase access to capital through access to financing institutions, development of product diversification while maintaining product quality, increase the ability of producers in access to quality raw materials at affordable prices, increase product quality with local raw materials, especially in terms of capital Strengthening of procurement of raw materials, and development of business partnerships in terms of procurement of raw materials. Business actors in the agroindustry are instant herbal-medicinal and medicinal farmers market vendors as suppliers of raw materials, manufacturers and marketers are as pengolahnya herbal merchants
DOSIS PUPUK KANDANG DAN UMUR PANEN PADA PRODUKSI BABY KANGKUNG (IPOMOEA REPTANS)
The research aims to assess the yield of baby kale that can be consumed almost all of the parts and generate organic manure free. Field research was conducted in Sindon Village, Ngemplak, Boyolali in September to October 2016. The research method uses Randomized Complete Block Design factorial with two factors, these are the dosage of manure and the age of harvest. Manure consisted of 4 doses O1 (0 ton/ha), O2 (6 tons/ha) and O3 (8 tons/ha) and O4 (10 tons/ha), and age of harvest consisted of P1 (16 DAS), P2 (20 DAS), and P3 (24 DAS). Variables observed were plant height, number of leaves, internode length, fresh weight, dry weight, leaf area index, and harvest index. The result showed that age of harvest has significant influence plant height, internode length, the number of leaves, leaf area index, fresh weight, dry weight, and harvest index. Manure doses only influence dry weight. Manure dosage of 8 ton/ha and harvest age of 16 DAS is the best combination of baby kale. Manure dosage of 10 ton/ha and harvest age of 16 DAS produce baby kale that can be consumed almost in all parts of the plant with the highest harvest index that is equal to 0.83
EFISIENSI PRODUKSI SAPI POTONG PADA PETERNAKAN RAKYAT PADA MUSIM KEMARAU DI DAERAH PERTANIAN LAHAN KERING KABUPATEN GUNUNGKIDUL
This research was conducted to know the production efficiency of beef cattle in smallholder farmer in a dry farming area at dry season. Research has been started on June and finished on September (dry season) at smallholder farmer in the village Kemejing, Semin subdistrict, district Gunungkidul, DIY. The research materials are 28 heads of beef cattle from 17 farmers, which consist of 10 heads of PO breed, 10 heads of a Simpo breed, and 8 heads of Limpo breed with 292.25 kg of initial body weight. This research was using Participatory Rural Appraisal method which is a collecting data process that an active teamwork between data collector and farmer. Collected parameter are feed intake, average daily gain (ADG), feed efficiency, feed cost per gain (FC/G), and income over feed cost (IOFC). Data resulting from this research are 8.42 kg/head/day of feed intake, 0.19 kg/head/day of ADG, 0.021 of feed efficiency, Rp 46.166,62 of feed cost per gain, and Rp 3.985,55 of income over feed cost. It can be concluded that the efficient production of beef cattle in smallholder farmer at the dry area is low because average daily gain, feed cost per gain and income over feed cost produced are extremely small so if the calculated economic result is less favorable
PERANCANGAN MODEL PEMBERDAYAAN MASYARAKAT MISKIN DI DAERAH RAWAN BENCANA KECAMATAN SELO KABUPATEN BOYOLALI SEBAGAI UPAYA UNTUK MEWUJUDKAN AGROWISATA PETERNAKAN
The purpose of this study was to determine the level of empowerment of the poor in disaster-prone areas Selo Sub District and produce a model formulation of the empowerment of the poor in an effort to realize the optimization potential of agro farms with local resources. Expected outcomes of this research is the publication of scientific journal of local/national and the formulation of a model of empowerment of the poor in disaster-prone areas as an effort to create the livestock agrotourism. The method to determine the location and sampling of respondents is to cluster sampling technique (sampling area). This research uses research explanations. To determine the empowerment of communities to use the method of Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA) and Rapid Rural Appraisal (RRA). PRA and RRA is a method that puts the community as researchers, planners, implementers, as the appraisal of development programs so that researchers and stakeholders who are involved as facilitators and community as the implementer. Data collection technique is observation, documentation, interviews and focus group discussion (FGD). Data analysis in the formulation of a model of empowerment of the poor in disaster-prone areas as an effort to create livestock agrotourism by Pearson correlation analysis, multiple linear regression analysis, path analysis method, the process of empowerment of citizens and SWOT analysis. The results of this research is already done survey research sites to see the condition of the villages that will be studied. A visit to the village government for approaching the village officials. In order to dig up information to determine the profile, potential and problems faced by each of the villages have been carried out PRA. However, due to the catastrophic eruption of Merapi volcano constraints, the implementation of the research has not been resolved
