Penampilan Produksi Sapi Peranakan Ongole dan Sapi Peranakan Ongole x Limousin yang mendapat Pakan Rumput Raja dan Ampas Bir
An experiment was carried out to compare the performance of Grade Ongole (GO) and its crossing with Limousin (GL) bulls fed King Grass and brewery by-product. Four GO (weighed: 198.50 ± 38.04 kg) and four GL bulls (weighed: 248.84 ± 36,39 kg) were fed king grass and brewery by-product with ratio of 50:50. The amount of dry matter given was 3% of live weight. The parameters measured were feed intake, feed digestibility, liveweight gain (LWG) and feed conversion ratio (FCR). The Results the two breed were not significantly different (P>0.05) in parameters measured. Dry matter intakes of GO and GL were 2,59 and 2.52% of body weight, respectively. The dry matter disgestibilities were 50.98 in GO and 45.74 in GL. Liveweight gains of GO and GL were 0.74 and 0.88 kg/day, respectively. Feed conversion ratios in GO and GL were 8.49, respectively. It was concluded that GO and GL bulls had similar production performance
Penggunaan Daging Keong Mas (Pomacea caniculata) terhadap Kualitas Kerupuk
Research about chips made from flour falvored with gold snail has been conducted to know the characteristic of physical, chemical and organoleptic chips results. Data were analyzed with Completely Randomized Design (CRD) by single factor. The factor is ratio between tapioca flour and gold snail meat.The result show that adding snail meat at batter chips was increasing content of water, protein, ash and taste. In other side decreasing content of strach, will reduce the development and color of chips. Chemical, physical and organoleptic examination showed best result at 30% of gold snail meat as substitution at chip

Pengeluaran untuk konsumsi pangan dan gizi penduduk Indonesia masih lebih besar dari pengeluaran untuk konsumsi bukan pangan. Peningkatan pendapatan dari penduduk golongan pengeluaran rendah sampai menengah masih akan meningkatkan konsumsi beras dan kalori dengan proporsi penduduk mencapai 72 persen. Penduduk berpendapatan 40 persen terendahn tergolong rawan konsumsi pangan. Pada pengeluaran yang lebih tinggi, konsumsi kalori masih meningkat tetapi konsumsi beras mengalami penurunan seiring dengan peningkatan diversifikasi konsumsi pangan sumber kalori dari kelompok makanan yang lain

Revitalization in not retorika. Destination of agricultural revitalization is farming development. And farming development requires farming economic growth and structural change. Both are necessary to increase the national income and to create employment opportunities. However, economic growth and structural change would be materialized smoothly if, only if, its development was based on an agricultural development and the management of agrarian objects. So that must optimally manage allocation, the stock employment and the maintenance of the agrarian objects for the present generation as well as the future in order to achieve the prosperous society. Hopefully, the agrarian objects can be optimally managed and used for the present and future generation to reach the prosperous society
Meningkatkan Kemandirian Petani melalui Pengembangan Kelembagaan Petani di Kecamatan Polokarto
In developing countries, however, the farmer organizations are still weak in one side and there are a variety of constraints in development of such organizations in other side. Similar experience occurs with farmer organizations in District of Sukoharjo. With this context, it is necessary for the agricultural service to carry out an action plan to promote farmer organizations in order to enhance self reliance of the organizations. A conceptual framework should be formulated based on the following considerations: (a) continue the existing program of farmer organizations developed and its improvement in the future; (b) analyze the strengths and weakness of the existing farmer organizations; (c) establish the ideal conditions of the farmer organizations, especially in term of self reliance.This studi formulates an alternaiveframework for intervention which cover the followings: (a) increase the capacity of extension agents, especially in delivering guidance and technical assistant; (b) increase the capacity of farmer organizations to formulate participatory plan; (c) enhance the role of extension agents, especially in facilitating the activities of farmer organizations.Improvement of the capacity of farmer organizations can be done through increasing motivation (AMT), master of technique of productive activities and it is important to assist the organizations for their marketing products. Motivation and stimulation services shoul be directed to self reliance process of the farmer organizations and the members
Pola Produksi Telur Puyuh yang Diberi Ransum Disuplementasi Betain dan Metionin
This study investigated the egg production pattern at the onset of lay until peak production in Japanese quails (Coturnix coturnix japonica) fed diet supplemented with betaine and methionine. Three hundred laying quails were randomly allocated to three groups of supplementations with 5 replicates of 20 quails. The three groups of treatments included basal diet (Control) or basal diet supplemented with 1.2 g betaine and 1.2 g methionine per kg diet. During onset of lay until 50% egg production (6 to 9 weeks of age), all groups were fed a basal diet, while the supplements were applied after 9 weeks. The egg production data were analyzed with analysis of variance and followed by Duncan’s test for significant results. During week 6 to 9, all groups of quails generated similar egg production since they received the basal diet. On the later phase, supplementation of betaine and methionine enhanced average weekly egg production (P<0.05) starting from week 10 compared with those without supplementation. The egg production curves indicated that production rapidly reached 60% soon after the onset of lay. Then, egg production rose sharply and reached the peaks of more than 80%, indicating good egg production patterns. Supplementation of betaine and methionine enhanced the average overall and peak production (P<0.01) without affecting the age at peak production. In addition, there were positive correlations between average of overall production and peak production of all treatments. It can be concluded that supplementation of betaine and methionine enhanced egg production in quails
Sistem Analisis Pengembangan Usaha Kecil Menengah Agroindustri Jamu di Surakarta
Indonesia sebagai negara yang mempunyai tingkat keanekaragaman hayati tinggi merupakan aset yang mempunyai nilai keunggulan komparatif dalam pengembangan agroindustri jamu. Pengembangan agroindustri jamu merupakan permasalahan yang kompleks yang melibatkan berbagai elemen, bersifat dinamis dan probabilistic, sehingga pendekatan system diperlukan dalam mencapai tujuan tersebut.Pada tulisan ini akan membahas pengembangan agroindustri jamu dengan pendekatan system dengan kajian meliputi; analisis kebutuhan, formulasi permasalahan dan identifikasi system berupa diagram sebab akibat dan diagram input output. Dari hasil analisis dapat disimpulkan bahwa peningkatan pendapatan petani, kelayakan usaha, peningkatan pendapatan asli daerah, peningkatan kesempatan kerja, kelancaran kredit merupakan kebutuhan yang harus dipenuhi
Usahatani Organik Padi Putih dan Padi Hitam: Pendekatan Pendapatan, Fungsi Produksi Cobb-Douglas dan VPM
This research aims to determine of (1) the productivity, income and efficiency of organic white paddy and organic black paddy and (2) the influence of production factors to production the white paddy and organic black paddy. The location of the research in Karangnyar, Central Java.The method of sampling was quota sampling with 30 respondents in each organic paddy, while the technique to collect respondents was conducted by purposive sampling. Data used in the study were primary and secondary data. Method of data analysis used in this research was (1) the analysis of productivity, income and efficiency of farming, (2) Cobb-Douglass and VPM (Varying Parameter Model) to determine the influence of factors to the production of organik white paddy and black paddy.The results of research on the analysis of productivity of organik white paddy were 95,19 kw/ha/season and black paddy with the value of 72,53kw/ha/season. Income of organic white paddy was IDR 18,786,63.72/ha/season and income of organic black paddy with the value of IDR 25,641,526,39/ha/season. The efficiency of organic white paddy was 2,97 and the organic black paddy which was 3,83. The results of the Cobb-Douglas analysis showed the production of organic white paddy different from the organic black paddy. VPM showed that the production factor of land area and labor significantly influenced production in organic white rice and organic black rice farming, while seeds and manure were known to only have significant influence toward production in organic white rice
Tampilan Kadar Asam Lemak Omega-3 dan Kolesterol Telur Ayam Konsumsi yang Diberi Ransum Mengandung Limbah Minyak Ikan Lemuru (Sardinella longiceps)
The experiment was conducted to find of the effects of using sardine oil in rations on the performance of laying hens and quality eggs, especially the omega-3 fatty acids content in the chicken egg. There were four group of in this experiment: L0 (commercial feed) as control treatment, L1 (L0+5% sardine oil), L2 (L0+10% sardine oil) and L3 (L0+15% sardine oil). Data analyzed Completely Randomized Design (CDR) and each group consisted 24 quails. Results of this research showed that there are has a significant (P<0,05) effects on laying hens performance productions. The used of sardine oil in rations significantly influenced the omega-3 fatty acids and cholesterol content (P<0,05). The omega-3 fatty acid content on the egg consumption from the used of sardine oil in rations was highly (P<0,05) and the cholesterol content lower (P<0,05) than not the used of sardine oil in rations. The result showed that used of sardine oil in rations made the performance of laying hens better than the used of control rations. The increasing of sardine oils usage in rations to increased the omega-3 fatty acids content and to decrease of cholesterol content in the chicken egg. It was concluded that using sardine oil in the rations gave effect on the good performance of laying hens
