    ABSTRACTThe purpose of this study is: 1) To ascertain the participation of Perkumpulan Masyarakat Surakarta (PMS) in supporting the social integration in Surakarta City; 2) To ascertain the obstacles faced by Perkumpulan Masyarakat Surakarta (PMS) in supporting the social integration.This study used a qualitative research approach; the type of this research was described qualitatively. The data source obtained from the informants, places, events, and document. The sampling technique used purposive sampling. The data collection technique by the interview, observation, and document analysis. The validity data used triangulation data and triangulation methods. The data analysis used interactive analysis model. Based on the result of this study, it can be concluded that (1) the participation of Perkumpulan Masyarakat Surakarta (PMS) in supporting the social integration in Surakarta City as follows: a) The alteration of the name and structure organization as the beginning of the social integration process; b) The communication and interaction of the members in activities of Perkumpulan Masyarakat Surakarta (PMS) as the foundation of the strengthening of the social integration. The obstacles faced by Perkumpulan Masyarakat Surakarta (PMS) in supporting the social integration in Surakarta City, as follows: Internal Factor: (1) The managers of Perkumpulan Masyarakat Surakarta (PMS) have their own business, so that they can not fully focus on the activities of organization; (2) The lack of discipline of the members in following various organization that they follow. b) External factor: (1) The perceptions of the community still believing that Perkumpulan Masyarakat Surakarta (PMS) is an organization of Chinese descent. KeyWord: Participation, Perkumpulan Masrakat Surakarta (PMS), Social                Integration

    The purposes of this study are to find out: (1) Have the implementation of halaqah onto women cadre of SANTIKA on the Prosperous Justice Party’s (PKS) Surakarta Branch already reach an ideality, (2) The effectiveness of halaqah in formating political participation of women cadre of SANTIKA on the Prosperous Justice Party’s (PKS) Surakarta Branch, (3) The inhibiting factors of halaqah in formating political participation of women cadre of SANTIKA on the Prosperous Justice Party’s (PKS) Surakarta Branch. This study employs used a qualitative method. a single strategy stuck is used in this study. The sources of data were obtained from informants, the involving places, events and documents. This study uses purposive sampling technique. The technique of collecting data to obtain and compile research data was through observation, interviews and document analysis. To obtain the validity of the data, the triangulation of data and triangulation of methods were utilized. While, the model interactive analysis technique. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that: (1) The implementation of halaqah onto women cadre of SANTIKA on the Prosperous Justice Party’s (PKS) Surakarta Branch has not been  fully entirely ideal yet, (2) The effectiveness of halaqah has not been  fully effective yet in formating political participation of women cadre of SANTIKA on the Prosperous Justice Party’s (PKS) Surakarta Branch, it can be seen from the indicators of input, process, output, and outcome that are mostly not in accordance with what is expected, (3)The inhibiting factorsof halaqah in formating political participation of women cadre of SANTIKA on the Prosperous Justice Party’s (PKS) Surakarta Branch are: (a) The halaqah is lack of ideality, (b) The cadres lack in understanding and priority, The lack competence of the murabbiah (the woman leader of the halaqah), the lack of party control mechanisms, (c) Unsupported by surroundings. KATA KUNCI: Halaqah, Pendidikan Politik, Partai Keadilan Sejahter

    The aims of the research are to determine: (1) The political education strategies that is applied by Golkar cadres of Sragen in giving political education to Sragen people (2) Whether the political education conducted by Golkar cadres of  Sragen is doing well, in terms of civic skill owned by the society. Based on the result of this research, it can be concluded that (1) Political education strategies which are applied by Golkar cadres as an effort to raise public awareness about politics, consist of: a) a training for Golkar cadres to increase their knowledge about politics; b) teaching political education for society through various activities of Golkar; c) putting the political education through wings party activity and Golkar organization; d) using election campaign agenda for the implementation of political education and Golkar political campaigns; e) teaching political education with personal approach; f) forming the RT stage cadres to teach political education for the society surroundings the cadres. (2) Political education which is applied by Golkar cadres has not been able to establish a good political understanding of the society. The strategies which are applied have not given much help to increase the society political understanding. People who live in Sragen have not fulfilled the citizenship aspect viewed from the civic skill perspective and Sragen society still tend to apply patro-client political culture. The people are still being submissive to the society leaders orders, and  have not been able to improve their own political thinking.     The objectives of research were to find out: (1) strategy the Civic Education teachers took in building democratic attitude among the students to improve political participation in SMA Negeri 1 Sumberlawang Sragen, (2)  students’ perception on political participation in SMA Negeri 1 Sumberlawang Sragen,, and (3) factors supporting and inhibiting the Civic Education teachers in building democratic attitude among the students to improve political participation in SMA Negeri 1 Sumberlawang Sragen. This research employed qualitative research, with descriptive qualitative type. Data source derived from informant, place, event, and document. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling. Techniques of collecting data were interview, observation, and document analysis. Data validation was conducted using data and method triangulations. Data analysis was carried out using an interactive analysis model.Considering the result of research, the following conclusions could be drawn. (1) The strategies the Civic Education teacher took in building students’ democratic participation to improve political participation were as follow: a) identifying the characteristics of students, b) developing Learning Implementation Plan supporting learning material and objective relevant to building the students’ democratic attitude, c) applying student active learning, learning strategy case study, learning problem solving model, learning inquiry method, learning technique, and learning assessment concerning the material featuring the political participation of participants, d) applying democratic attitude counselling activity to the students in all of basic competencies in the learning process in the classroom, e) coordinating with the school management to build the students’ democratic attitude out of Civic Education or other class hour,(2)The students’ perception on democratic participation improved, for example:  understanding the importance of participation in political participation activity and ability of determining attitude when they were within society as good citizen. (3) enabling and inhibiting factors of the implementation of the strategy of teachers of Civics in shaping the democratic attitude of learners to improve political participation as follows: a) supporting factors, namely: (i) strategies teachers right and appropriate to the learning objectives, (ii) the support of the school, (iii) adequate learning facilities, (iv) the condition of learners who support teachers' implementation of the strategy; inhibiting factor is the internal factors of learners such as attitudes of students when the teacher explains, and internal factors are environmental factors.     The objective of research was to find out: (1) how the implementation of tolerance values internalization was by Forum Persaudaraan Bangsa Indonesia (FPBI) in Surakarta City, (2) what constraints Forum Persaudaraan Bangsa Indonesia (FPBI) in Surakarta City faced in implementation of tolerance values internalization in Surakarta City, and (3) how the effect of tolerance values internalization was on the improvement of social integration in Surakarta City. The internalization of tolerance values carried out by FPBI of Surakarta city exerted effect on the people’s tolerance attitude, despite not too considerable effect. However, the people who had attended the tolerance values internalization activity held by FPBI, the one in Kampung Baru, Pasar Kliwon Subdistrict, of Surakarta, had become more tolerant and appreciating the difference, thereby leading to the improvement of social integration, manifested in harmonious interaction among the people, the existence of social activity, and the cooperation between the people with different ethnical and religious background. KATA KUNCI: Internalisasi nilai toleransi, integrasi sosial

    ABSTRACTThis research aimed to find out to find out whether or not there is an effect of Listening Team learning method on the students’ ability of expressing opinion in SMP Negeri 2 Prembun in the school year of 2016/2017. This study employed a quantitative method with experimental method. The design used was a true experimental design with posttest only control design model. The population of research was the 8th graders of SMP Negeri 2 Prembun consisting of 218 students. The sample was taken using cluster sampling (area sampling) technique, with the 8thE Grade as experiment group and 8thG grade as the control. The methods of collecting data used were observation, documentation and questionnaire. The prerequisite test used was normality and homogeneity tests. Technique of analyzing data used was t-test. Considering the result of research, the mean score of the ability of expressing opinion questionnaire was 101,906 for experiment and 89,406 for control classes. When it was converted into 0-100 scale, the mean score students’ opinion expressing ability in experiment class was 79,614  and 69,848 for those in control class. The result of t-test at significance level of 5% obtained tstatistic> ttable or 6,917 >1.998 so that Ho was not supported and Ha was supported meaning that there was a difference of opinion expressing ability between students in experiment and those in control classes. From the result above, it could be concluded that there was an effect of Listening Team Learning Method Application on the students’ ability of expressing opinion in SMP Negeri 2 Prembun (A Study on the 8th  graders of SMP Negeri 2 Prembun in the school year of 2016/2017). Keywords: Listening Team, Opinion Expressing Abilit

    ABSTRACTThe purpose of this study is to (1) knowhow far of society participation in cooperation activities through the waste management communityof rukun santoso. (2) know the motivation of society participation in gotongroyong activity through the  waste management communityof rukun santoso. (3) find out what constraints faced by the society in participating the gotong royong activities throughwaste management community of rukun santosoThis study usedqualitative descriptive research. Sources of data used are informants, events or activities and documents. The sampling technique is purposive sampling. Techniques of the data collection and compilation of data were done by interviews, observation and document analysis. The researcher used data triangulation and triangulation methods to obtain valid data. While the techniques of analyzing the data using interactive models are: (1) data collection (2) data reduction (3) data presentation and (4) drawing conclusions. This research procedure follows the following steps: (1) pre-field, (2) field implementation, (3) field analysis, and (4) preparation of the research report.Based on the results of the research can be concluded that: (1) society participation in gotong royong through the waste management community of rukun santoso is good enough although not all of the society participated in gotongroyongactivity. (2) society motivation in participating gotong royong through the waste management community of rukun santoso including the environmental become healthy and clean.     ABSTRACTThis study aims to determine whetherthere was influence in the use of send a Problemlearning model with conventional methods on the ability to analyze cases of rights violation and denial of obligations as a citizen in SMA N 6 Surakarta. The population of researchwas eleventh grade students of SMA N 6 Surakarta 2016/2017 academic year. The sample of research were students of class XI MIPA 3 as an experimental class and XI MIPA 2 as a control class.Each class consists of 31 students. So, the sample in this researchwere 62 students.The sampling technique used was cluster random sampling. The method employed in this research was an experimental research. The design of this research was quasi-experimental design with intact group comparison. The research data were collected by using techniques ofObservation, Sheet Analysis of Learning Implementation Plan, and Student cognitive tests. The data prerequisite analysis used the independent test, the normality test and the homogeneity test, and the proposed hypotheses of the research were tested by using t-test.The result of this research indicated that there was a difference of influence of Send a Problemlearning modelin experimental class with conventional methods on the ability to analyze cases of rights violation and denial of obligation as a citizen in SMA N 6 Surakarta. The average score for the experimental class was 80.45 and the control class was 72.38.The result of t-test showed tcount  4,624 and ttable with significance level α = 0,05, db = n1 + n2 - 2 = 31 + 31-2 = 60, so obtained ttable of 1.678 (interpolation). So it can be concluded that The value of tcount was higher than ttable, or 4,624≥ 1678,.  Based on the result of T Test Tests, We can conclude that there was a different influence of Send a Problem learning model on the ability to analyze cases of rights violation and denial of obligations as a citizen in SMA N 6 Surakarta. Keywords: Learning Model, Send a Problem, Analyze the abilit

The happening of with refer to floods during short relative and recurred per annum, claiming bigger effort anticipating it, so that loss earn minimization.     The aim of this research is to determine the influenced or not of using Somatic Auditory Visualization Intellectualy (SAVI)learning model assisted Photo Story media concern in critical thinking skills on seven grade students of SMP N 13 Surakarta In Academic Year 2015/2016 (Study on basic competenciesexplaining the nature of freedom of expression). This research applied experimental method by true experimental design as a research design which postest-only control design form. The population of this research was seven grade students of SMP N 13 Surakarta in academic year 2015/2016 which numbers are 255 students. Annexation sample of this research used cluster random sampling technique.The data collection technique used is the test, observation and documentation.The technique of data collecting used normality test and homogenity test. The hypothesis test in this reseache used T.test. The result of this research indicate that the SAVI learning model assisted photo story media concern in critical thinking skills on seven grade students of SMP N 13 Surakarta In Academic Year 2015/2016 (Study on basic competenciesexplaining the nature of freedom of expression)has influences. It can be approved by the defferences of obtained average value which the experimental group class is 85,27 and the average value for the control group class is 79,8. Beside that, based on result of T.test obtained thitung value is 2,981 meanwhile the value of ttabel is 1.999 (interpolation), so the result is thitung (2,981) > ttabel (1.999) by the significant level is 5% therefore H0 rejected and Hɑ accepted. It was concluded that there is a difference between critical thinking skills of students using SAVI learning model assisted photo story media with those not using SAVI learning model assisted photo story media to the basic competencies to explaining the nature of freedom of expression in class VII in SMP N 13 Surakarta. Keyword : Learning Model, Somatic Auditory Visualization Intellectualy (SAVI), Photo Story Media, Critical Thinking Skill
