Every member of the community needs to understand and live the culture in order to overcome the problems faced in life. The Representation of Character Education on Teachers’ Utterances in Early Childhood Learning
No full textThe purposes of the study were to determine the forms of teachers’ utterances and the forms of teachers’ speech techniques that represent character education in early childhood learning. The data was collected by conducting observation, recording, and interviews. The sources of the research data were four teachers who taught in the fourth grade, namely SDN Kebun Bunga 1 and SDIT Ukhuwah. The results showed that the teachers’ utterances which represent character education in early childhood learning appeared in various forms of utterances and speech techniques in accordance with the context of the situation said. First, the forms of utterance that represent character education in teaching was realized through the use of dictions and the form of speech presentation. The dictions usage includes the use of the modality, the use of pronouns, the use of adjectives, and the use of verbs. In the form of the teachers’ speech presentation, it included direct and indirect speech presentation. Second, the speech development techniques included repetition technique, explanation technique, and detailed technique. The character educations represented through teachers’ utterance were the character of religion, discipline, hard work, responsibility, honesty, environment caring, national spirit, curiosity, intelligence, independency, social care, and tolerance

No full textWayang is one of the art forms of Javanese society which has been patented as a cultural heritage, specifically as a Masterpiece of the Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity, in 2003. As a cultural heritage, wayang contains various elements of art such as visual arts, sound arts, and drama. In addition, wayang also becomes a facility for rituals, amusement, and aesthetic presentation. Moreover, wayang has been used as a “reference for a better life, because it portrays the eternal messages of humanity”. The messages develop an awareness of the audience about good and bad things in life. This research describes the structure and representation of Javanese life philosophy in wayang puspasarira. Through this research, wayang puspasarira has a symbolic structure of the moral and cultural values of Javanese society

Get PDFIn this research the researcher collects philology materials, local oral stories, forms stories in a story book and uses them as a basis for developing a literacy program based on local oral stories entitled Sekolah Berbudaya Lisan (SBL). By adopting ethnographic and philological methods the researchers collect local oral story data around the school to be transformed into a written form of children's stories in picture books. This storybook based on local oral stories becomes the foundation of the embodiment in developing and cultivating a literacy activity program which is done by combining 4D research and social engineering research methods. The SBL program was developed to create role models for social engineering activities for schools to develop the cultural behavior of oral literacy in their environment. SBL as well as making local oral stories as a distinctive characteristic that must be preserved. Schools become cultural centers of oral stories and preserved forms of local oral stories that are almost extinct because modern society has abandoned traditional oral storytelling

These goals are achieved through the development of research methods (Borg & Gall) lesson study. To achieve these objectives, the first phase or the first year I will do theoretical studies and surveys about the learning data writing children's stories Indonesia-based character education. Stage III or the third year will be conducted in the form of dissemination of learning model writing children's stories Indonesia-based character education to support the creative industries in grade 5 of Elementary School with lesson study
