Representation of Patriarchal Motherhood in “Silsilah Duka” by Dwi Ratih Ramadhany
The article attempts to scrutinize representation of motherhood in a novella “Silsilah Duka” by Dwi Ratih Ramadhani, a young Madurese writer. It tells about three female characters and their journey as mothers, which, later, create shattering events. In analyzing the data, this study applies patriarchal motherhood theory by Andrea O’Reilly. Qualitative approach with close reading method is applied. The results disclose that patriarchal motherhood is this novella is socially and culturally constructed

The world-facing rapid growth in technology, particularly in education. In the implementation of the learning management system (LMS) in 21st century, society have proceeded against high intellectual behaviors with cybernated knowledge-based. Modern society requires the education practitioners and the learners to enhance their information communication technology within an e-learning situation where distant learning exist. A learning management system is a medium of teaching-learning for both educators and learners. It provides a bunch of avant-garde technology that support the learning process. ENHANCING INDONESIAN CULINARY TOURISM THROUGH THE DIVERSITY OF INDONESIAN FOODS
With more that 1,200 different ethnicities, Indonesia remains the most diverse country the world could offer. With such a large scope of cultural diversity, eating habits and norms can vary in each province or even city. There are a few of Indonesian cuisines that have already penetrated the international market. From the world class nasi padang from the Minangkabau tribe to papeda from the far east island of Papua, Indonesia offers millions of variations in processing food and daily necessities. However, many other foods and delicacies are still under the radar and lack of acknowledgement from the outside world. The calibre of what Indonesia can contribute to the world of cuisines is beyond belief. This thesis will discuss the importance of respecting and learning other cultures, furthermore, how food can contribute to the unity and tourism sector of this country. EFL Students Engagement in Reading Through Literature Circle
The aim of this study to investigate utilized literature circle method in learning recount text, in using literature circle method on learning recount text, the students expect Engage in learning process. This study used narrative inquiry. This paper is present by words and explanation. This research has conducted in one of the school at Karawang. Subject of this research are a students of XI class, consists of twelve. The data acquire from observation, interview and documentation. The result of this study explain that there are three phase do students engage learning to read in literature circle and students reaction about literature circle. The first, students are facilitated to choose the reading topic. The second, students are encouraged to have discussion session. The last, students are motivated to share their story to group. Learning reading use literature circle method increase students’ motivation, especially for sharing the story to other group and reading comprehension

There are several kinds of supporting media in teaching and learning process. Student worksheet or Lembar Kerja Siswa (LKS) is a printed-based media used as a medium to help deliver messages from teaching objectives. It is used as a guide for students in carrying out activities or assignments, both individually or in groups. The use of LKS as a learning media has several advantages and disadvantages. However, a teacher as an educator needs to know how and what to consider in choosing a good LKS for the students to use, as a LKS of good quality has several criteria and requirements in it. YES/NO QUESTION ON CONVERSATION IMPLICATURE IN ADVERTISING E-COMMERCE
The using of yes/no question is a productive tool for reaching the function of communication discourse. The aimed of this research is testified the function of yes / no question in implicature discourse on e-commerce advertisement. The sources of this research were 8 enterprises advertisement of e – commerce which had variation of e-commerce advertisements. This research is merged the conversation analyses and implicature on conversation. IMAGINATION MODEL FOR LEARNING WRITING POETRY
The aims of this study are (1) to develop the initial product design, (2) describe the results of expert validation and practitioner as well as field try-out, (3) develop a product based on feed- back and suggestions from the experts, and (4) describe the revised imaginations model profile. This study uses a research-and-development model proposed by Borg and Gall. The data were collected through interview guide and questionnaire. The results showed that the imagination model that is developed in the form of teacher guide book is suitable to be implemented for poetry writing teaching and learning process
DOCUMENTATION OF SANTRI’S ORAL CULTURAL OBJECTS IN PASURUAN CITY AS A PHILOLOGY LECTURE PROJECT
Pasuruan City has a lot of local wisdom in the form of folklore. This is evidenced by the results of the project for documenting various folklore, which is briefly presented in this article. Various types of folklore were collected by the author, together with the research team and folklore documentation of the elements of the Indonesian Language Study Program student STKIP PGRI Pasuruan, consisting of 170 folklore. The collected folklores are verbal and half oral. The documented folklor are then classified in 10 different themes including: 1) Legend of Islamic Figures, 2) Legend of Village Origins, 3) Mystery Stories in Pesantren Life, 4) Myths related to Animals, 5) Material-related Myths as Intermediaries of Prayer, 6) Myths related to Objects in Funeral Rituals, 7) Praise Poems Chanted by the Santri Community, 8) Practices in Ritual Recitation, and 9) Habitual Practices in Santri Life in Islamic Boarding Schools. These forms of folklore at the same time show the form of traditional orality in the lives of Muslim communities in Pasuruan City. The folklore research that develops in a community has several benefits such as: (1) preserving the culture of community orality, (2) increasing public awareness of the preservation of the culture of orality, (3) raising the descriptive framework of oral culture and culture in general which is owned by a community , (4) revitalizing the cultural functions of orality that have been developed in a society, (5) providing research material for academics in language and culture, and (6) iconic support for the city branding of Pasuruan City
Students’ Perception of the Implementation Picture Series in Writing Classroom
Most of the students have difficulties in writing. They had poor ability to arrange sentences in correct logical order and good paragraph structure. However, the previous studies showed that the problems of writing are not only based on the inability of the students to write, but also by the inappropriate method used by the teacher in the learning process. Most teachers do not know about what kind of best visual aid that can be applied to develop the learners’ ability in writing class. This research is looking at teacher’s and students’ perceptions of the implementation picture series in the writing classroom. For collecting the data, the researcher used questionnaires and interviews. All of the participants were third-grade students in SMP Negeri 1 Sumberlawang, in the Academic year 2019/2020. The researcher involved 16 students at eleventh-grade junior high school. This study is expected that the implementation of using picture series as a media in the learning process can be beneficial for teachers and students, such as improving the learners’ writing ability, improving students’ participation in the learning process, fun learning environment, and improving students’ writing interest
CRITICAL AND CREATIVE AWARENESS SCHOOL TEATER ACTORS
Theater at school is an extra-curricular activity. It is hoped that theater arts in the school will bring forth qualified young actors as professional actors. Theater actors in schools that develop into professional actors must have abilities that are equivalent to professional actors. Theater actors in schools must have proper theater skills. The Augusto Boal theater concept is a theater method that can be used as a process of awareness, liberation in developing aspects of life, sensitivity and creative power and imagination. The Boal concept is oriented to the process of empowering knowledge that is aware of life values and liberation and develops a critical attitude. Critical awareness is needed for theater actors to be able to open insight into thinking, create space to freely identify and analyze. Andre Malraux in Alma Hawkins explains that a person's creative journey involves seeing, exploring and realizing. Creative starts from the desire to realize a form of art. The creativity of theater will be achieved by seeing, exploring, and realizing what is in man by feeling and absorbing it and then realizing it by free thinking.
