The Effectiveness Of Using Dynamic Visualization In Natural Science Learning To Improve Students' Understanding In Junior High Schools
Visualization can support an instructional process. Visualization consists of all types of nonverbal illustrations. The very rapidly computer technology enables the development of multimedia learning environment. This research was aimed at describing the effectiveness and attractiveness of the use of dynamic visualization in an instruction on transportation system and excretion in organisms. Sixty four students of grade 8 who consisted of 36 males and 28 females were used as the subjects of the research. The data of the research were collected in the form of pre-test and post-test scores in the students’ understanding of transportation system and excretion in organisms and in the attractiveness of the use of dynamic visualization in the instruction. Statistical test showed that the mean of the comprehension test before the use of dynamic visualization differed significantly from that after the use of dynamic visualization and that dynamic visualization was attractive to be used in the instruction. Hence, it can be concluded that dynamic visualization can enhance students’ understanding

This research used is a mixed approach. The results of the research at the analysis stage, the researcher found problems through a geometry ability test, analyzed the curriculum, and the students needs. The results of the design stage, namely designing the story board, preparing the content/material to be included in each menu, and compiling the learning media assessment instrument. The results of the development stage, namely product manufacture and validation and revision. The results of expert validation by material experts are included in the very worthy criteria (96.95%). The results of the validation by media experts showed very worthy criteria (98.18%). The results of the teacher's response as learning practitioners showed very worthy criteria (89.04%). Based on these results, the multimedia flipbook learning media for elementary school students in the Mattiro Bulu sub-district developed is suitable for learning geometry in elementary schools
Effect of Project-Based Learning Through Blended Learning on Website Design Skills
This study aims to determine the website design skills of Information Technology and Computer Education Program (P.TIK) at IKIP PGRI Pontianak students and to determine the differences in website design skills of P.TIK students using Blended Learning (BL) and face-to-face learning (F2F) in website design project. The research method used in this study is an experimental method with a quasi-experimental form. The sample in this study amounted to 63 students who were divided into two groups namely classes that apply BL and classes that apply F2F in implementing website design projects. Data collection techniques in the form of measurement techniques using tools in the form of a portfolio. Data analysis techniques using descriptive statistics and inferential statistics. The results showed that the website design skills of students after working on a website design project were in the good category, and there were significant differences in website design skills between the groups applying BL and the groups applying F2
Student Achievement Analysis: Implementation of Discovery-based Virtual Learning in Culinary Academy
Organizing learning from home in an emergency of the spread of Covid -19. It requires educators to use creative learning models that focus on students, one of which is Discovery-based Virtual Learning (DVL). This study aims to analyze the effect of using DVL on student achievement. This study used a 2x2 factorial design. This research's data analysis technique is divided into two types, namely the prerequisite analysis test and hypothesis testing. The research results concluded that students who learn with DVL are significantly higher than Direct Instruction (DI). The next result is that students who have high initial knowledge get high learning achievement scores. Meanwhile, this study's results also showed a significant interaction between the learning model and initial knowledge of student achievement in foodborne disease competencies
The Effectiveness of Children’s Learning Time in Online Learning System During the Covid 19 Pandemic in Kindergartens
This study is to determine the effectiveness of children's learning time when the role of the teacher is taken over by the parents as a controller of children's learning at home. This research is a qualitative exploratory research with an inductive approach using social situations involving three elements, namely: place, actor and activity. Respondents in this study involved 15 educational institutions, teachers of study groups aged 4-6 years, parents and students at kindergartens in Makassar City. The data analysis used thematic analysis and was presented in a descriptive form. The results show that the use of the effective learning time during the COVID-19 pandemic had decreased significantly by 200 percent from the average learning time of children per week, from 900 minutes of direct learning to 300 minutes in online learning. The change in effective time is due to the adjustment of the home learning policy, the lack of readiness of schools in implementing online learning systems, the support of teachers and parents, and the availability of school and parent facilities as well as infrastructure related to the implementation of online learning systems
Blockchain Encryption on Student Academic Transcripts using a Smart Contract
As an innovation in the world of computers, blockchain has many benefits and is also widely applied in the world of education. Blockchain itself has many advantages, especially in the world of education. Blockchain is a digital data storage system that consists of many servers (multiserver). In this Blockchain technology, data created by one server can be replicated and verified by another server. By using this technology with a decentralized system and strong cryptography and can help colleges or universities to build infrastructure in the archive storage of transcripts, diplomas, and diplomas. Usage One of the blockchain technology applications in education is iBC, namely the e-learning Blockchain Certificate, book copyright, and also e-Portfolios. iBC or e-learning Blockchain Certificate is a tool designed to create, verify and also issue blockchain certificates. As has been supported by the IBC to create certificates that are globally verified and stored in a decentralized manner. Here will be presented use cases that are relevant in the use of Blockchain technology in educational environments, especially data processing in universities and we also try to design an IBC based on blockchain technology that can be used to support transparency and accountability of colleges or universities in issuing diplomas and grades.
Pre-service Teachers’ Perception on the Reflective Teaching Practices in Micro Teaching Class
This study was a descriptive quantitative analysis aimed to find out the student teachers’ perception of the Reflective teaching practice at pre-instructional, instructional and post instructional stage in EFL micro teaching class. The population in this research was the English language education students who have attended Micro teaching courses. 108 students participated in this research by completing questionnaire. The data analysis technique used in this research is descriptive analysis using SPSS program for Windows version 17.0. The statistical analysis showed that the Mean score was 201.16, Median 199, Mode 184, and Standard deviation 16.923 from the total score of 21,275. The pre-service teachers’ perception on the reflective teaching practice at pre instructional stage and post-instructional stage was in very good category whereas their perception at the instructional stage was in the good category. This is to say, the pre-service teachers perceived that reflective teaching practice was carried out well in EFL micro teaching class at UNM
