Barrett Taxonomy Reorganization To Improve Students' Intensive Reading Ability
This study aims to determine the effect of the Barrett Taxonomy Reorganization Method on the intensive reading ability of class VIII students of SMP Negeri 2 Duampanua, Pinrang Regency, 2019/2020 academic year. This type of research is a quasi-experimental design with True Experimental Design. The variables in this study were the Barrett Taxonomy Reorganization Method and intensive reading skills. The experimental group was class VIII.1 students and the control group was grade VIII.3 students of SMP Negeri 2 Duampanua, Pinrang Regency. Research data collection techniques in the form of tests. The results showed that the intensive reading ability using the Barrett Taxonomy Reorganization method was higher than the intensive reading ability using the conventional method for eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 2 Duampanua, Pinrang Regency. This is evidenced by the results of the t-test with a significance level of 5% (95% confidence level) obtained t count (3.061)> t table (0.278). The value of t count> t table shows that the intensive reading skills of the two groups differ significantly. Therefore, it can be concluded that the effect of the Barrett Taxonomy Reorganization method can not only improve students' understanding but also their reading ability
The Effect of The Laps-Heuristic Learning Model on Students' Problem Solving Abilities
The purpose of this research is In 21st century learning students are required to be more active in learning than teachers, therefore this study aims to determine whether there is an influence between the LAPS-Heuristic learning model and the ability to solve problems. Methodology: Using quantitative descriptive. Where, the number of samples in this study were 436 students from SMP 11 Jambi City who used purposive sampling technique. Data were then analyzed with the help of SPSS 21 application to find descriptive statistics in the form of mean, min, max, and category as well as inferential statistics using simple regression. Finding: The results obtained in this study are dominant both in the ability of student problem solving and the effectiveness of the LAPS-Heuristic learning model in mathematics lessons. With this, it is strengthened by the existence of a relationship and influence between the LAPS-Heuristic learning model and the students' problem solving abilities seen from the sig value below 0.025, which is 0.019 and has a contribution of 70.3%
Pedagogical Content Knowledge (PCK) Based On Local Wisdom To Develop Students’ Nationality Characteristics
The learning process in class must be managed so that students can grow the character in students. The character of students can grow and develop through learning based on local wisdom that has life values. These values are inherent with the values of character in the life of the nation and state. But to design a learning that can develop character requires an integrated study between pedagogy and learning content. The results of this study are outlined in the Pedagogical Content Knowledge (PCK). This study aims to produce PCK based on local wisdom that can develop the national character of elementary school students. To get a decent PCK, the research was carried out using the Research and Development (R&D) approach. The results revealed that, PCK based on local wisdom of the Dayak Desa tribe, was able to improve the behaviour of national character into unity, mutual cooperation, and honesty, each by 0.77; 0.77; and 0.86. Thus, it can be concluded that PCK based on local wisdom can develop the national character of elementary school students
The Development of Mobile Base Interactive Learning Multimedia For Critical Thinking Improvement
This research study aimed to solve common problems often faced by learners. This is a Research and Development (R&D) with the APPED model which consistsconsisting of five stages of development. The subjects of this research were the 10th-grade students of the Vocational Program of Computer and Network Technology at SMK Negeri 1 Tulung Klaten (State Vocational School 1 of Tulung, Klaten). The data analysis were analyzed usingtechnique was done through the descriptive quantitative technique. Based on the research, the data from the validation of performed by experts and practitioners of mobile-based interactive learning multimedia, out of four validators, obtained showed an overall value of 87.92%, which was included incategorized in the very good category, and meaning that it is proper for use in learning. The N-gain of Tthe critical thinking ability improvement at the application stage obtained an N-gain ofwas 82.9%, and it waswhich was categorized as included in the medium improvement category. The effectiveness of interactive learning multimedia used in learning as, shown by the learners’ response questionnaires, obtained showed an overall percentage of 83.52% and was included in the very good category. Based on the Wilcoxon test on critical thinking ability data, and the pretest-posttest gain values, critical thinking ability it obtained a value of 0.000 which indicated that there was a difference in the critical thinking ability improvement in after using the mobile-based interactive learning multimedia. Therefore, mobile-based interactive learning multimedia can be used as an alternative medium in learning to help improve students' critical thinking ability, as well as to support the independent learning process
Online Learning Solution: Ice Breaking Application to Increase Student Motivation
The purpose of this study was to find out the effectiveness of ice breaking as an effort to increase the students’ learning motivation. This research was conducted in the Science Education Study Program of STKIP PGRI Nganjuk, East Java, Indonesia. The sample in this study was 25 students in the third semester who took the mechanics course.The sample used in this study was taken using purposive sampling technique. This type of comparative research is used in this study. Data collection techniques used, questionnaires, observation sheets, and documentation. This type of research is comparative which is used to examine differences in student learning motivation before and after being treated. The results of the study were based on the Paired T Test shows value probability/ p Paired T test value of 0.000. This means that there are differences in student learning motivation after being given the ice breaking learning model. This ice breaking was implemented as an effort to reduce saturation and boredom of the students during the learning process. The Contribution of Academic Supervision and Teacher Working Group on Teachers’ Pedagogical Competence
The purpose of this study was to determine: 1) an overview of the implementation of academic supervision, the Teacher Working Group (KKG), and teachers’ pedagogic competences; 2) The effect of academic supervision and the Teacher Working Group (KKG) on the pedagogical competence of elementary school teachers in Manggala District, Makassar City. This quantitative study was performed in the form of an associative research. The objects of this study were 309 elementary school teachers at 30 schools in Manggala District, Makassar City. Samples were 50% of the total population (155 people) selected using a proportional random sampling technique. Data were collected from questionnaire, observation, and documentation. The obtained data were then analyzed using descriptive statistics and hypotheses were tested based on inferential statistic test. The results of the study showed that: The effectiveness of academic supervision was regarded moderate, while the Teacher Working Group (KKG) was considered effective. In addition, teachers’ pedagogical competence was categorized moderate category. Furthermore, the academic supervision and the Teacher Working Group showed a positive and significant contribution on the pedagogical competence of elementary school teachers in Manggala Kota District Makassar. Thus, it can be concluded that academic supervision activities carried out by school principals and activities carried out in the Teacher Working Group (KKG) forum improved elementary school teachers’ pedagogical competence
Developing the Gross Motor Skills of Children by Simultaneously Training Them with Rhythmic Gymnastics
The purposes of this study were (1) to describe the gross motor skills of children before and after being trained with rhythmic gymnastics, and (2) to identify the effect of rhythmic gymnastics on children’s gross motor skills. Approaches applied in this study were pre-experimental with one-group pretest - post-test design. The study involved 15 children from the B group of Pertiwi Kindergarten selected through a purposive sampling technique. The data were collected using a questionnaire, observation, and documentation. The research was carried out through some stages including planning, pretest, treatment, post - test, and data analysis. Data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test. This study found that (1) children’s gross motor skills before trained with rhythmic gymnastics were in the categories of “not developed” and “starts to develop” and after the treatment, there was an increase on children’s gross motor skills thus the status shifted to the category of “developed as expected” and “developed very well” in performing locomotor, non-locomotor, balance, and flexibility movements like children could walk forward while both hands were on their waist, jump in place while swinging both arms, balancing the body by lifting one of the legs, and swing the arms back and forth alternately; (2) rhythmic gymnastics have effects on children’s gross motor skills, simultaneously treating children with rhythmic gymnastics with various interesting movements so that they become interested to follow them thus it is effective to be a media to form children’s gross motor skills simultaneously
Testing Of The Validity of Interactive Learning Module on Creative and Entrepreneurs Learning Products
This study aims to determine the level of validity of Interactive Learning Modules in Creative Product and Entrepreneurship Subjects in Vocational Schools. The method used in this research is the 4-D Research and Development method. The steps of this research and development method are: (1) define, (2) design, (3) develop, and (4) assess. Based on research that has been done, the average value of the validator test assessment of the Creative Learning and Entrepreneurship Interactive learning module is 91.92%, so that the level of validity can be interpreted very validly used. In conclusion, based on the assessment and input from experts that the Interactive Learning Module on the subject of Creative Products and entrepreneurship in High Schools and Vocational Schools is feasible to be used in learning Creative Products and Entrepreneurship in Vocational High Schools.
Dynamic Capabilities and Core Competencies in Achieving Competitive Advantage of Agroforesty-Based School
This research purposes to prove whether a school not standard in the learning process or having unique resources is able to compete with general schools, which are in accordance with national standard of education in Indonesia. The results of this study showed that dynamic capabilities had a positive effect on core competencies in the agroforestry-based school. Dynamic capabilities did not affect competitive advantage in the agroforestry-based school. Core competencies had a positive effect on competitive advantage in the agroforestry-based school. Core competencies mediated the effect of dynamic capabilities on competitive advantage in the agroforestry-based school. Thus, resource capabilities should be able to form core competencies in educational institutions in order to be able to create competitive advantage for graduates of this school
The Development of Learning Media of Pakakala Boardgame
The purpose of this study is to develop a learning media in the form of boardgame Learning Media (Optional Board and Career Cards) to improve students’ career knowledge in a fun, interactive and active learning under. This research uses Research and Development Method, with The phases in this research consist of; (1) product analysis, (2) developing products, (3) validation and revision, (4) play-trials and final products. Data collection techniques using interviews and questionnaires. Feasibility check and assessment by theory expert, learning media expert and users using Likert scale with the value used are 5 to 1. The results of the validation by theory expert get score 5 with a very worthy category, while the validation by media expert gets score 4.89 with the very worthy category. Whereas in the usage test by users or students and teacher response as an education practitioner showed very worthy category with scores 4.53 and 5 respectively. As a result, the developed pakakala boardgame for year 4 students at SDN 84 Parepare is suitable to use in teaching theme 4 concerning various occupation
