    Syntheses and X-ray crystal structures of four 4-(4-meth­oxy­phen­yl)piperazin-1-ium (MeOPP) salts, with 2,2,2-tri­fluoro­acetate, C11H17N2O+·C2F3O2− (I), 2,3,4,5,6-penta­fluoro­benzoate, C11H17N2O+·C7F5O2−·H2O (II), 4-iodo­benzoate C11H17N2O+·C7H4IO2−·H2O (III), and 4-methyl­benzoate, C11H17N2O+·C8H7O2−·H2O (IV) anions are presented. The salts form directly from equimolar qu­anti­ties of N-(4-meth­oxy­phen­yl)piperazine and the corresponding organic acid in methanol and crystallize from 1:1 methanol/ethyl acetate. Salt I is anhydrous whereas II, III, and IV are all monohydrates. In all cases, the MeOPP cation conformation is determined by the torsion about the N—C bond between the piperazinium and 4-meth­oxy­benzene rings. Crystal packing in each structure is largely dictated by N—H⋯O and (in II, III, and IV) O—H⋯O hydrogen bonds, although each also features weak C—H⋯O-type hydrogen bonds. Salt II also has π–π-stacking inter­actions between cation and anion arene rings, and III exhibits I⋯I close contacts

The article highlights key clauses such as the management and control clauses, confidentiality clauses, non-compete clauses, termination clauses, and shareholders' rights clauses. The article also discusses the importance of incorporating a severability clause to ensure that the enforceable clauses of the contract are saved in case of unenforceability of a clause. Henceforth, the article provides insight into the legal considerations for drafting effective joint venture agreements in India

This paper aims to shed light on the fundamental rights guaranteed to women under the Indian constitution, the role of Directive Principles of State Policy (DPSP) in protecting them, and the fundamental duties towards women. By improving various facets such as the state, community, organizations, legislation, and judicial interpretations, women can be treated equally, provided freedom, dignified living, and access to justice. Women’s empowerment, a process that increases women’s options, choices, control, and power, plays a pivotal role in addressing major societal issues such as gender inequality and poverty. This paper emphasizes how the Indian constitution, with its emphasis on gender equality, empowers women. It also discusses the hindrances to women’s empowerment, the protection offered by international law, and presents a concise summary of the overall discussion

In scriptwriting and content generation, AI’s Natural Language Processing algorithms analyze data to generate storylines, characters, and dialogue, assisting writers in their creative process. During pre-production, AI aids in casting decisions by analyzing actors’ past performances and physical features. AI-driven virtual production techniques using virtual reality and augmented reality enable filmmakers to visualize and plan their films effectively. In visual effects and post-production, AI generates realistic CGI and automates tasks like color grading and video editing. AI also plays a significant role in audience engagement and marketing through sentiment analysis and personalized content recommendations. Furthermore, AI is employed in film restoration and preservation, digitally restoring damaged footage and ensuring the longevity of classic films.     Crystal structures of four organic salts of trihexyphenidyl at 90 K

    The syntheses and crystal structure studies of four organic salts of trihexyphenidyl, viz., trihexyphenidylium [1-(3-cyclo­hexyl-3-hy­droxy-3-phenyl­prop­yl)piperidin-1-ium] 4-nitro­benzoate, C20H32NO+·C7H4NO4− (I), trihexyphenidylium 4-hy­droxy­benzoate, C20H32NO+·C7H5O− (II), trihexyphenidylium 4-bromo­benzoate, C20H32NO+·C7H4BrO2− (III), and trihexyphenidylium thio­phene-2-carboxyl­ate hemihydrate, 2C20H32NO+·2C5H3O2S−·H2O (IV), con­ducted at 90 K are described. Structures I, II, and III are solvent free with one cation–anion pair per asymmetric unit, while IV crystallizes as a hemihydrate, having two cation–anion pairs and one water of crystallization in its asymmetric unit. Structures I and III exhibit configurational disorder of the cation. Structure IV also exhibits disorder, but only of the thio­phene-2-carboxyl­ate anions. Structure II is a non-merohedric twin by a twofold rotation about [403]. The main supra­molecular motifs in I, II, and III are similar R22(10) rings between cation–anion pairs, although their packing within the crystals is distinct. As a consequence of having two cation–anion pairs and a water mol­ecule in its asymmetric unit, the packing in IV is by far the most complex of the four structures, its hydrogen-bonding patterns being quite different from I, II, or III. In all the crystals studied, N—H⋯O, O—H⋯O, and C—H⋯O inter­actions are observed, plus C—H⋯Br close contacts for III

    Structural conformation and coordination architecture investigation in the solvent induced cis Cu(II) complex containing fluorine-substituted beta-diketonate ligand

    The modification in structural conformation, coordination bonds, and hydrogen bonding has been investigated in the solvent-induced Cu(II) complex with 4,4,4-Trifluoro-1-phenyl-1,3-butanedione. A new beta-diketone-based Cu(II) complex Cu(TFPB)(2)(DMSO)] has been identified and structurally characterized. Single-crystal X-ray diffraction analysis revealed that the Cu(TFPB)(2)(DMSO)] (complex 1) is crystallized in triclinic (P (1) over bar) and complex Cu(TFPB)(2)] (complex 2), which was reported earlier, is in the monoclinic (P2(1)/n) system. The Cu(II) complex with coordinated solvent (complex 1) features a five-coordination with doubly chelated -O donors of beta-diketone in basal positions and the oxygen atom of DMSO solvent supplementing the fifth coordination site. The coordination geometry around the metal centre is described as a slightly distorted square pyramidal with the trigonality index tau(5) of 0.0586. While in solvent-free complex (complex 2), two fi-diketone molecules are coordinated to a central Cu(II) ion in a basal position to form a perfect square planar geometry with r4 of zero. Interestingly, the oxygen donors of beta-diketone in complex 1 are inclined in a cis configuration, whereas in complex 2, they are aligned in a trans configuration. The changes in molecular orbital energies and reactive chemical descriptors in the solvent-induced complexes were studied by the electronic structure method. A relatively lower energy gap value is observed for the trans (3.1119 eV) form than cis (3.2186 eV). In addition, molecular docking analysis was performed to investigate the influence of structural variation of complexes on the binding modes and protein-ligand interactions with the penicillin-binding protein 2.     The wide range of pharmalogical activity exhibited by quinoline derivatives, due to its fused benzene ring with pyridine structure, has made them a popular framework for medicinal chemistry. The single crystal X-ray diffraction and quantum computational studies revealed the crystal packing of the novel saturated quinoline derivative, 6‑bromo-N-pyridin-4-yl-2-thiophen-2-ylquinoline-4-carboxamide. The structural examination of titled molecule unveiled the involvement of carboxyl functional group and N-heterocyclic pyridine rings in various intermolecular interactions that are responsible for upholding the crystal stability, which was validated by the Hirshfeld surface analysis. Furthermore, in silico studies were performed to scrutinize the antioncogenic properties of entitled molecule. Topoisomerase, a vital enzyme involved in DNA replication and repair which regulates DNA topical structure makes it a prime candidate for targeted anticancer therapies. The ligand's acceptable binding affinity to the targeted protein was identified through molecular docking, and dynamic simulation was carried out to monitor and analyse the fluctuations of ligand-protein complex for a simulation period of 100ns. Eventually, the novel molecule exhibited the most favourable interaction and stability within the substrate-binding pocket of targeted protein. © 2023 Elsevier B.V

    Christian perspectives of lingayatism: The trajectory of lingayat identity and literatures in colonial Karnataka

    Recent postcolonial scholarship gives an impression that Western Christianity was an overarching religion, which reinforced Orientalism and self-imposed the task of civilizing/modernizing the local literatures and traditions. In this article, I enter into these debates, tracing a trajectory not only of Christianity in the colonial period but also local traditions and literatures. In this connection, I focus on the Lingayat literatures of south India, which are understood to be exclusively the product of colonial modernity and Western Christianity. It stands on the premises that knowledge production in colonial India evolved through the intermediary relations and participation of both local scholars and Western orientalists. I argue that these relations were neither integrated nor harmonious. Rather I highlight the collaborative, competitive, resistant and appropriative energies of local vernacular voices in defining and representing their literatures and traditions vis-à-vis Christianity. © 2023 Conference on Christianity and Literature
