Research on spatial distribution pattern and interaction mechanism within rail transit station realm
北九州市立大学博士(工学)With the rapid development of urban rail transit systems around the world, the station realm has become an important urban spatial place that carries various categories of functional facilities and people's daily life. Taking Xi'an Metro Line 2 as a case study, this study combines big data analysis technology and geographic information system, and applies multiple spatial analysis methods and regression models to systematically analyze the spatial distribution pattern of population activities and functional facilities within station realm, and further reveals the interaction mechanism between the them. The research results will provide a reliable basis for improving the allocation of public resources and enhancing spatial efficiency in the station realm.doctoral thesi
Study on recycling of disposable diaper as ecofriendly-concrete material for the application on building
北九州市立大学博士(工学)Utilizing disposable diapers in concrete and cement-based materials has become an alternative to reduce waste capacity and environmental impacts. The findings of current research conclude that SAP (Super Absorbent Polymer) as an essential component in disposable diapers could improve the self-healing of concrete structures as well as increase yield stress values, flexural strength, plastic viscosity, and elastic modulus. However, the current research mainly elaborates on the materials' microstructure, making the application of the finding’s intangible. This doctoral research investigated the application of disposable diapers to replace the use of fine aggregates in concrete and mortar. This study is aimed at examining the feasibility of materials to be implemented as building components. Through theoretical analysis and experimentation, the study analyzes the mechanical properties of materials, elaborates on environmental impact analysis, and estimates the availability of materials for the construction industry. For broad insight, the study also proposes a construction system for the materials by prototyping an actual house.doctoral thesi
Carbon emission prediction and driving force analysis in construction industry on a city level
北九州市立大学博士(工学)Global warming and the climate crisis pose significant challenges worldwide. The construction industry, a major contributor to carbon emissions, plays a vital role in achieving these targets. Carbon Emissions from the Construction Industry (CECI) primarily arise from the production of building materials, energy consumption during building construction and operation. This study focuses on the materialization and demolition processes within the construction industry, examining carbon emission trajectory and key driving factors within a city scale. Specifically, representative cities at different stages of development, namely Hangzhou in China and Kitakyushu in Japan, are selected to explore the potential for decarbonizing the construction industry and achieving carbon neutrality. The study considers the synergistic decarbonization with upstream sectors and the synergistic carbon reduction with downstream waste recycling sectors, providing corresponding recommendations in light of these perspectives.doctoral thesi
Quantitative text analysis of shareholder proposals using topic modeling
本論文は、株主提案の要領に関する基礎研究を行うことを目的とする。株主提案の要領に含まれる3つのテキスト(提案内容、提案理由、取締役会の意見)を独立した文書とみなし、各文書をトピックモデル(LDA)を用いて分類した。その上で、各トピックにおける賛成率にどのような傾向が見られるのかを確認し、さらに、提案内容のトピック別に文書の特徴量(文字数および文字数に占める数字の割合)と賛成率の関係を分析した。2011年~2019年の定時株主総会における株主提案議案1,352件を対象に分析を行った結果、トピックによって得られる賛成率が異なること、そしてトピックによって文書の特徴量と賛成率との関係が異なる可能性があることを確認した。本論文で得られた結果は、株主提案の要領が他の株主の議決権行使に影響を及ぼしており、さらに、株主提案議案の賛成率は要領に記載された3つの文書のトピック、および文書特徴量などの複合的な要因に影響される可能性があることを示している。departmental bulletin pape
EMPIRICAL RESEARCH ON HUMAN-AI COLLABORATIVE ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN PROCESS THROUGH A DEEP LEARNING APPROACH
北九州市立大学博士(工学)The purpose of this thesis is to explore how AI technologies intervene in the architectural design process and to discuss the importance and approaches that drive the paradigm shift towards human-AI collaboration in architectural design. The research is conducted from two perspectives: theoretical and practical. At the theoretical level, how AI technologies affect architectural design through technological evolution is analyzed, as well as the advantages, disadvantages and trends of different AI networks in sustainably analyzing and optimizing different kinds of architectural designs. Further, based on this, the methodology of how to develop a reflection on the nature of technology and data is discussed. At the practical level, AI methods that are inventive and capable of performance-based design are constructed and trained. And the basic process of human-AI collaborative architectural design is presented with an empirical study. The results of this thesis not only provide a theoretical reference and methodological basis for future research on human-AI collaborative architectural design at a broader and higher level but also attempt to explore new ideas and methods for the field of architectural design during the evolution of the old and new paradigms, ultimately realizing the purpose of sustainable development of the B&C industry.doctoral thesi
Research on the relationship between pro-environmental behaviors and relocation based on surveys in China, Korea, and Japan
北九州市立大学博士(工学)This research aimed to investigate the interaction between individuals' pro-environmental behaviors (PEBs) and relocation, bridging the gap in understanding the relationship between urbanization and environmental protection at the micro scale and to take the chance of relocation as a window to enlarge PEBs. To achieve this, the study focused on China, Korea, and Japan, representing a developing country and two developed countries in Asia. The research extensively examined relocation from rural to urban areas and urban to rural areas in these countries. Additionally, different PEBs were compared and analyzed across different contexts. By examining individual environmental attitudes, behaviors, and policy support, this study provides valuable insights for the development of effective environmental protection policies and contribute to global sustainability goals. This study lays the groundwork for future research and decision-making in the field of population relocation and environmental sustainability.doctoral thesi
Study on improvement of indoor thermal environment of traditional dwellings based on subdivision of climatic region
北九州市立大学博士(工学)In the face of energy consumption dilemmas and environmental crises, decreasing building energy use has gained a widespread concern. Passive design is a climate adaptive design method that can save energy and reduce carbon emissions. In this research, by using the spatial interpolation method, the Qinba mountainous area is divided into 5 climatic sub-regions based on HDD18 and CDD26. Then, the thermal neutral temperatures of the 5 climatic sub-regions were calculated through the questionnaire survey and field measurement. Furthermore, the research analyzed the sensitivity of passive design parameters in each climatic sub-region, and determined 4 effective passive parameters. Finally, this research employs NSGA-2 and TOPSIS method to optimize passive design strategies for traditional dwellings in the 5 climatic sub-regions with multi-objectives, which could save 60.43%, 58.02%, 62.30%, 65.12%, and 62.59% of annual building thermal loads in the 5 climatic sub-regions, respectively.doctoral thesi
