Personnel Exchanges between Prefecture and Remote Island Municipalities : A Case of Nagasaki Prefecture
Get PDF本稿では、長崎県を事例として、離島を有する市町村に対する都道府県の人的支援の現状を明らかにした。その結果として、長崎県の場合、県から市町村への職員交流・派遣は相互性（1対1）を原則としており、県が「片務的」に市町を支える構図ではなかった。ただし、県の離島振興政策所管課に勤務する県庁職員は、離島を有する市町での勤務経験を有する者も少なくなく、市町の現状が県策定の計画に反映されるルートの一つであることが確認できた。今後のより深刻な人口減少下においては、人的支援を含む「広義の離島振興」についても、関係する都道府県は取り組んでいくことが必要になるものと思われる。departmental bulletin pape
Sustainable Waste Management in Indonesian Higher Education: Behavioral Insights
Get PDF北九州市立大学博士(工学)This study examines waste separation and recycling (WSRi) in higher education institutions through a regional literature review, a case study in Malang City, and a broader study across Indonesia. The literature review reveals that waste management in higher education is a major research concern, with gaps in environmental awareness needing further exploration. In Malang City, universities are rapidly increasing waste production, posing challenges for waste management, infrastructure, and public behavior. A study at Universitas Negeri Malang shows environmental education significantly influences future teachers’ intentions toward sustainable waste practices. Additionally, environmental knowledge and facility availability moderate the relationship between education and recycling behavior, reinforcing positive attitudes. A regional study involving pre-service teachers across Indonesia highlights that environmental knowledge, more than attitudes, drives recycling intentions. Accessible campus recycling facilities also play a crucial role, emphasizing the need for education, infrastructure, and supportive policies to foster sustainable behaviors.doctoral thesi
Analysis of Illegal Waste Disposal Site Situation through Community Engagement to Enhance Sustainable Solid Waste Management in Indonesia
Get PDF北九州市立大学博士(工学)This study has primary focuses on illegal waste disposal site (IWDS) study. In the first chapter systematic literature network analysis (SLNA) which combines bibliometric analysis (BA) was conducted to analyze status, and factors affecting IWDS practices. The second chapter assesses the current condition of Deli Serdang MSWM. In the third chapter, the study was combining ground-based individual investigation methodology using the transect walk method and community engagement investigation methodology using direct interviews, focus group discussions (FGDs), and whistleblower to identify, locate, and quantify the IWDS. The fourth chapter was focused on analyzing spatiotemporal patterns to evaluate characteristics and countermeasures to reduce the IWDS activity. The fifth chapter aims to analyze some stakeholder initiatives and challenges to stop IWDS practice and suggest strategic actions and recommendations for Indonesia to reduce the practice. Reality and Illusion in Of Mice and Men: With Special Reference to Steinbeck's Attitude toward the Reader
Get PDFOf Mice and Menの2名の主要登場人物の人物像に関しては、出版以来、数十年にわたって、類似した解釈が批評家によって下され続けている。ただし先行研究は、特定場面のみを根拠として人物像の解釈を行っているケースが目立つ。他方、本稿は、２名の人物像の正確な把握には作品全体の俯瞰が不可欠な点と、作中人物の実像の把握を困難にする多彩な設定が作中に縦横に張り巡らされている事実を明示した。この点を踏まえ、読者を虚像の把握へと誘う点にこそ本作の本質が存すると指摘した。他方、スタインベックは自作への読者の反応に極めて批判的で、読者への対決姿勢を露わにすることが多い。この点が、読者を虚像に誘導する方向性を作中に導入した要因であると考えられ、本作の作品構造はスタインベックの対読者感情に強く支配されていると結論付けた。departmental bulletin pape
Elaborating Diversity in the University Library Services: A Study Report of a Research Project Held at the University of Kitakyushu (vol. 4)
Get PDF本稿では北九州市立大学に2016 年に開館した図書館新館にて、将来の教育・研究の更なる支援の方向性を検証するため2019-2020 年度に実施した、学内助成による研究事業の継続事業である学内研究助成事業（2021 年度―2022 年度）から、2022 年度活動報告を行う。2020 年度からの新型コロナウイルス感染拡大のため施設面でのサービス提供について図書館はこの数年通常とは異なる制限を課し続けてきた。しかし、2022 年にはそうした制限が次第に緩和されるようになったため、本研究事業の趣旨に沿った様々な取り組みが実施できるようになった。また、2022 年度は二期目の研究事業の最終年度であった。長期的な研究活動の成果として、2019 年の事業初年度から準備を進めてきた地域文化施設との連携活動の成果として、北九州市立漫画ミュージアムからのマンガの寄贈が実現した記念すべき年度となった。本稿は、2022 年度の本学図書館の運営状況の概要を掲載し、その中で大学教員と図書館司書とが協働して行った研究活動の記録として刊行する。departmental bulletin pape

By quantifying the economic value of improvements such as water quality enhancement, flood prevention, mitigation of urban heat island effects, and landscape recreation, the study then establishes a new framework for rainwater reuse using an evolutionary game model.
