    This research seeks to understand the process of action of expert staff of Legislative Assembly of Mahardhika in fulfilling its duties and functions namely decision making by considering public opinion, as well as a means of building the image of member of state in expressing itself personally and institution. This research uses case study method with qualitative approach. Informants were determined based on purposive sampling method and obtained five people. The results of this study indicate that in the knowledge transfer through social media in the Legislative Assembly of Mahardhika done based on the understanding of the team of expert staff that social media is associated with the concept of the corporation or organization which is interpreted as a medium that has the purpose to provide information to the public in accordance with the existing moment, while the purpose of using social media by expert staff is more aimed at reaches the wider community. The application of knowledge transfer by expert staff through social media is done in five steps, namely intermediation, externalization, internalization, cognitive, and evaluation. The intermediation step, ie matching efforts between the communication agenda and the existing subject trend, is the most important and sustainable step. Social media that is the most effective in disseminating information to the public is Facebook, followed by Twitter and Instagram

    The purposes of this research are to know, describe, and analyze institutional repository softwares selection in Universitas Brawijaya (UB) Library, State University of Malang (UM) Library, and University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM) Library, also comparing software features of institutional repository.This research is using multi-site case study method with qualitative approach. Data was collected  by observation, interviews, use of documents and audio-visual material. The results of this research indicate that the selection of software in academic library needs to pay attention to four aspects of software selection: (1) as needed; (2) have a licence; (3) technical support, training, relevant documentation and maintenance; (4) staff responsible for the selection and evaluation of digital collection software and related services to meet user or community needs. The selection of institutional repository software is not appropriate, resulting in the UB Library to migrate data from BKG to Eprints and UMM Library to migrate manually from GDL to Eprints. Academic library needs to pay attention to right aspects of software selection in building and developing institutional repositories and features

    This paper discusses how the role of university libraries in increasing reading interest as an effort to anticipates hoax with case studies at Sebelas Maret University Library. The aim of the study is to determine the library strategies in increasing reading interest as an effort to combat hoaxes. This study uses qualitative methods with data collection participatory observation and documentation. The conclusion of this study is the strategy adopted by the Sebelas Maret Univercity Library in increasing reading interest is by holding various talk show activities, book fairs, writing seminars and workshops, information literacy, receiving student visits and students, applying excellent and superior services, providing various kinds library collections, and promotions and improvement of  library infrastructure facilities. These various efforts are expected that the public's interest in reading will increase so that the public will not easily accept hoax information

    KARAKTERISTIK KOLEKSI SPESIMEN TIPE BAMBU DI HERBARIUM BOGORIENSE, PUSAT PENELITIAN BIOLOGI – LIPI

    The aim of this study is to explore information about the characteristics of collections of the type specimens of bamboo in Herbarium Bogoriense (BO) to obtain the infografic status of the collections. The study was conducted in April-May 2018 at BO, Research Center for Biology ‒ LIPI with direct observation method. The population, as well as the sample of the research, is the whole collections of type specimens of bamboo in BO. Data obtained by examining and recording the entire collection of type specimens of bamboo in BO. Characteristics that observed are species names, collectors, number and year of collection, discovery location, number of sheets, specimen conditions, the journal of publication and year, kind of type and duplicate location. Each of species name is validated before it is analyzed. The data were analyzed and presented qualitatively as the tables and charts. There are 107 species from 117 collection numbers of type specimens of bamboo in BO. Two numbers collection from two species is not found. The most type specimen is from Gigantochloa (20,5%). Approximately 63,5% of type specimens were published and/or proposed the combinations of names by LIPI researchers. Elizabeth A.Widjaja is the collector of the most type specimens (43,6%). The highest period (34,2%) of collection activities was in 1991-2000. About 62,6% of type specimens are collected from various islands in Indonesia. There are 577 sheets of type specimens in BO, 92% are in good condition and 8% is good enough. There are 51,3% of holotype specimens in BO, followed by isotype (30,8%), paratype (11,1%), lectotype (2,6%), neotype (2,6%), epitype (0,8%), and isosyntype (0,8%). As many as 50% holotypes has duplicates in more than two different of herbarium locations, the other 37% are without duplicates. About 56% of type specimens are published in the journal of Reinwardtia and 16,8% in Kew Bulletin

    This study discusses the digital curation in Unsoed Library Unit. Digital curation is an ongoing process of digital collection management activities. The purpose of this research is to know the process of management and handling of digital collection of thesis in terms of Digital Curation Center (DCC) Life Cycle Model. The benefits of this research are as material evaluation of the management of digital document objects, and as reference in the formulation of policies and legal basis needed in the management of digital collections in Unsoed Library Unit. This research uses descriptive qualitative method that is by doing depiction using word and language from perception and action performed by librarian. Based on the data obtained through interviews, expert observation and consultation, digital curation cycle already exists in Unsoed Library Unit. However, there is still a need to strengthen the legal basis, renewal of standard operating procedures, facilities, and understanding of digital curation
