Get PDFThis article analyzes the impacts of the policy implementation on e-resources access at Jakarta Delima Academic Library. The aim of the research is to analyze the impacts regarding the new policy of e-recources access at Jakarta Delima Academic Library to its users. This research was used qualitative approach with case studies. Data collection for this research was conducted through interview, observation and literary study. The result shows that the impacts caused by the new policy are it does not meet the user needs of information, the ineffectiveness of the e-resources use, and the loss of the essence of e-resources in the library
KORELASI ANTARFAKTOR KEPUASAN KERJA PUSTAKAWAN: STUDI KASUS PUSTAKAWAN LEMBAGA ILMU PENGETAHUAN INDONESIA
Get PDFLibrarian job satisfaction is influenced by a number of factors, among others, the working environment, motivation, and compensation. Knowing the relationship between these factors will be helpful for the improvement of job satisfaction, which in turn will improve the professionalism of librarians. This study aims to measure the correlation between these factors. Respondents are librarians within Indonesian Institute of Science, with the post of librarian executing, implementing advanced, supervisors, first, the young and middle. Collecting data using questionnaires, while the correlation measurement using the method of Kendal and Spearman. The study results show that there is no significant relationship between work environment factors and compensation as well as among the factors of motivation and compensation
KOLABORASI DAN PRODUKTIVITAS PENULIS ARTIKEL VISI PUSTAKA 2000 – 2014
Get PDFVisi Pustaka is one of the Library and Information Science (LIS) journals in Indonesia. Study about this journal needs to be done to find out the progress in Library and Information Science in Indonesia. This paper reviewed Visi Pustaka journal especially about the amount of articles, gender, collaboration degree, collaboration frequency, productivity, and author affiliation. Data collected from Visi Pustaka journal articles which published in 2000-2014 periods. Data analyzed using statistic descriptive method. The result showed that the amount of article published in 2000-2014 periods were 236 articles, about 65.64%written by men and 34.36% written by women. Average degree of collaboration was 0.097. The most productive authors were Sulistyo Basuki and B. Mustafa. Both of them submitted 16 articles. The most five productive affiliation were Bogor Institute of Agriculture (14.38%), Indonesian National Library (11.45%), Indonesian University (12.60%), Centre for Scientific Documentation and Information (8.02%) and Gadjah Mada University (6.11%). The affiliation status consisted of 212 (80.91%) government institutions and 50 (19.09%) was private organizations. We cloncluded that most gender of author was men, most of the articles wrote by individual authors, and most author affiliations were library and information institutions also universities
PEMANFAATAN INFORMASI DALAM ARTIKEL ILMIAH: KAJIAN ANALISIS SITIRAN PADA BULETIN PSIKOLOGI UGM
Get PDFThis study aims to determine the utilization of resources in the article of Journal of Psychology UGM period 1993-2014. The method employed is quantitative, with the subject assessment UGM Psychology Bulletin 1993-2014 period. Object of this study are reference or bibliography of the article that was published in the publication that period. Analysis of data using the percentage method and presented in a frequency table with the aid of a computer program MS Excel. Based on the data analysis, the results show that the name of the faculty with the highest cited frequency is Hastjarjo that is equal to 22,30%, the rank below are Prawitasari amounted to 17,98%, followed by Kuntjoro with a frequency of 12,94%. Then Ancok and Helmi respectively by 8,63%, followed by Hadipranata amounted to 7,91%, and Anwar amounted to 7,19%. The lowest frequency of 0,72% accepted by ten other teaching staff. Utilization of the title work of the teaching staff shows that there are 24 works that have been cited twice or more. The highest frequency of title of the work cited by 16,66% with the title “Reliability and validity” by Saifuddin Anwar, followed by a work entitled “The importance of a paradigm shift and approach to learning and the application of social psychology in Indonesia” by Kuntjoro, and the work entitled “Facial expressions to uncover the basic human emotions “by Prawitasari. Frequency of two titles Kuntjoro works and Prawitasari respectively reached 12,5%. The core information that is used as a source of information is more varied subjective and depends on the needs of authors of the article
SHOPPING MALL LIBRARY: KAJIAN TERKINI DI EMPAT NEGARA ASIA TENGGARA
Get PDFThis paper discuss about recent researches with shopping-mall library as the main topic and their management for society. This concept is unique because we view the library as a place for user. It is actually already a familiar thing for user in developed country, like United States, United Kingdom and Australia. But, in some of the Southeast Asian country, it is already applied for the last ten years, especially Indonesia. However, it has slow response in Indonesia because the lack of socialization.Whereas, in the other Southeast Asian country, this kind of library was full supported by government and private company.This paper uses qualitative research with literature study from books, journal articles and web articles. It is delivered with systematic description of recent studies. The study is limited to the Southeast Asia region, especially in Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and Indonesia. The result of study is that shopping-mall library already applied in some country with different terms, such as Library@Mall in Singapore, myLibrary in Malaysia, Knowledge Park in Thailand and TBM@Mall in Indonesia. It is managed by government and private institution in order to make sustainable development for library management (vision, resources: staffs, collections and facility, and socialization/promotion)

This paper is a qualitative descriptive approach that intends to know the history and understanding of the mosque library, the role of what is being done mosque libraries, and describes the shape of social inclusion in the mosque library. The conclusion that the mosque library is part of an effort to build awareness of inclusion and empower the community to become more mature in religion and society. This empowerment among others with facilitation, education, and accommodation needs of people of all religious communities without discriminating user community in terms of religion, creed, class, physical and so on, the mosque library is the embodiment of democracy and the means to the community well informed. Mosque Libraries should be able to accommodate the information needs of users, into an open space for social activities, and become lifelong education
BIBLIOMETRIC ANALYSIS OF THE INKOM JOURNAL (ANALISIS BIBLIOMETRIK JURNAL INKOM)
Get PDFThis paper proposed main problems of quantity and quality measurement of the research articles published in INKOM journal for 5 years period in informatics, computers and control system. Those three areas have become research missions of The Research Center for Informatics – Indonesia Institute of Sciences. The aim of this paper is to show how to solve research problems above using bibliometric method to analyze bibliography data available in the journal as well as to offer a summary of the research activity in the area including its most important aspects. Bibliographical data are taken from 76 articles published in the journal from May 2007 to November 2011. This paper also discusses how the method is used to measure article distribution, magazine classification category, article subject distribution, authorship patterns, and institutions distribution contributions. Results of the research show that the majority of articles are contributed by multi authors with degree of collaboration 0,553; the journal has already been widely known by the researchers outside LIPI, researchers from non-LIPI institution dominated more on the publication than from LIPI itself. The quantity of research articles increased in 2011 and used more references from scientific articles than the year before. Besides, the research quality also increased and used more cited articles from scientific journal literature than from books
EVALUASI PUBLIKASI ILMIAH SCIENCEDIRECT BIDANG ENERGI WILAYAH INDONESIA (EVALUATION OF SCIENCEDIRECT PUBLICATIONS IN THE FIELD OF ENERGY AT INDONESIAN TERRITORY)
Get PDFIndonesia until now facing problems in achieving development targets for energy sector because all parties have weak responsibility to invest funds for research growth. Their influence have impact for growth of publications and energy research product which that expensive should proportional with the reputation of scientific media that host it. ScienceDirect is one of it and active as a reputable knowledge media that important to be revealed. So this study aims to evaluate energy research products that published ScienceDirect, mainly from Indonesia zone during 2006-2016. To evaluate, study use bibliometric evaluation to find intensity, ownership designs, and contributor of publications. Results show that news of energy about Indonesia for over decade reached 162 scientific publications and increased as due the research activity growth. Majority of publications disseminated through scientific journals. Its also produced independently and collaborative. Orientation group are dominates and Indonesia capable to coordinate collaboration in its territory. Besides domestic, international collaborative contributed to pulse of energy research in Indonesia and successful level able to offset gains achieved developed countries. A total of 100 essential contributors capable to producing research product more than once and mostly from academics. Participation of domestic researcher looks special among countries on four continents
CITATION ANALYSIS OF COMPUTERS, CONTROL SYSTEMS AND INFORMATICS RESEARCHES IN A SINGLE SCIENTIFIC JOURNAL
Get PDFMasalah dalam menghasilkan artikel ilmiah yang berkualitas adalah tidak hanya sangat kurangnya sumber literatur baru sebagai referensi, tetapi juga kesulitan dalam menentukan posisi penelitian. Sehingga keberadaannya pada posisi penelitian di dunia ilmiah menjadi tidak jelas. Makalah ini menjelaskan jawaban untuk masalah diatas dengan menggunakan analisis sitiran pada 93 artikel dalam satu jurnal ilmiah. Jurnal yang digunakan untuk penelitian ini adalah jurnal “Inkom” , memuat artikel ilmiah tentang informatika, komputer dan sistem kendali, mulai tahun 2007 sampai 2012 yang dihasilkan oleh Pusat Penelitian Informatika – Lembaga Ilmu Pengetahuan Indonesia. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk (1) mempelajari peringkat pengarang yang terbanyak di sitir, (2) mempelajari sarana bibliografi apa yang terbanyak di sitir, (3) mempelajari subyek apa yang terbanyak di sitir. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekanan kuantitatif melalui analisis bibliometrika untuk mengetahui karakteristik artikel dengan menggunakan analisis sitiran. Hasil dari 667 sitiran artikel menunjukkan bahwa (1) pengarang yang terbanyak di sitir adalah M. Peringkat 3 besar pengarang yang paling banyak di sitir adalah, E, M dan R, (2) Jenis literatur yang terbanyak di sitir adalah buku 48,87%, diikuti oleh sumber literatur yang di sitir dari internet sebanyak 18,44% dan dari jurnal 16,19%, (3) rata-rata sitiran per satu artikel adalah 7, dan (4) subyek yang paling banyak di sitir adalah elektronika. Hasil analisis sitiran menunjukkan bahwa ada peningkatan kualitas artikel ilmiah dan kejelasan dalam posisi penelitian ditunjang oleh banyak sumber literatur sesuai yang digunakan untuk referensi pada tahun 2012, ada 197 sitiran dari 17 artikel, sehingga rata-rata sitiran untuk satu artikel adalah 11, ini berarti bahwa ada kenaikan jumlah menggunakan sitiran dibandingkan dengan tahun sebelumnya. Secara umum, cakupan ilmu pengetahuan yang mendominasi sitasi pada jurnal Inkom adalah subyek elektronika, sensor dan algoritma. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa ada dominasi sitasi subyek yang berhubungan dengan tahun publikasi: taun 2007-2009 pada komputer (elektronika), tahun 2011 pada sistem kendali (sensor) dan pada tahun 2012 pada informatika (algoritma)
