Acculturation of Sundanese Culture in Padang City in 1969-2020
This study aims to determine the process of acculturation of customs, traditions, language, and culinary between Sundanese and Minangkabau tribes in Padang City. The research method used is the historical method through four stages, namely first, heuristics, namely the stage of collecting data in the form of documents or books, articles, journals and interviews. Second, source criticism is testing data by conducting internal and external criticism of data from various sources. Third, interpretation, which is the interpretation of data so that it becomes a meaningful fact. The last stage is historical writing in the form of a thesis. The results show that cultural acculturation includes aspects of language, traditions, food and clothing. This acculturation is supported by marriage between ethnicities, economic relations, similarities in beliefs and views of life resulting in unity. The unity is maintained by individual cultural agents (Sundanese cultural activists in Padang City and groups (Paguyuban Warga Sunda Sumatera Barat, local government, ethnic Minang). The cultural activists agreed to create peace in everyday life according to their respective roles and positions, so that Sundanese culture has social engineering that can build harmony in Padang City
Hamka’s Exemplary Character: Nationalism Character Education
This article contains the thoughts of nationalism from one of the figures in Indonesia, namely Haji Abdul Malik Karim Amrullah or Buya Hamka. Hamka is a thinker who is also a religious or scholar. The research used by researchers with five stages of historical research, namely selecting topics, heuristics, verification, interpretation, and historiography. In this article, the character education that Hamka received cannot be separated from religion. Character education according to Hamka is to develop the potential that exists in humans but does not extend from religious values. In the implementation of the existing curriculum, the role of Pancasila becomes dominant. Pancasila teaches a sense of responsibility towards the nation as well as biung based on religion. Nationalism becomes a student strength to become Indonesia's solid stronghold in the future
Case Method Based E-Module: History Learning Innovation to Improve Students’s Higher Order Thinking Skills
The low reading literacy of history students has an impact on the low level of Higher Order Thinking Skills they have, especially in the scientific field. Therefore, an innovation is needed in learning history by digitizing learning resources through e-modules based on case method. This research aims to produce case method-based e-modules in improving students' higher order thinking skills and determine the feasibility of the developed e-modules. This research is a type of Research and Development (R&D) research using the ADDIE model which consists of the stages of analyze, design, develop, implementation, and evaluation. The developed e-module was validated by a team of media experts and material experts. The results obtained are that the e-module is suitable for large group tests and small group tests. The small group test got a percentage of 85% and the large group test got a percentage of 77%. Based on these results, it shows that this case method-based e-module is very feasible to be used as a learning resource for students in the history of the entry of Hindu-Buddhist religions into Indonesia in terms of design, content, videos, case studies and practice questions in the e-module and this e-module is effectively used as a learning resource after the T test
Use of Quizizz Learning Media at MAN 1 Banjarmasin
Quizziz is one of the learning media that creates a learning experience for students. There are features in Quizizz that can be used in learning. This study aims to determine the use of Quizizz learning media in MAN 1 Banjarmasin students in class X and XI IPS MAN 1 Banjarmasin for the 2022/2023 academic year. The method used in this study is quantitative method. The research population of class X and XI IPS MAN 1 Banjarmasin students amounted to 190 students and the sample amounted to 47 students. Data collection by questionnaire. Analysis of research results with SPSS 25 for Windows. The results showed that the use of Quizizz learning media in MAN 1 Banjarmasin in grade X and XI IPS in MAN 1 Banjarmasin for the 2022/2023 academic year against 47 students as respondents: Very low (0%), low (2.13%), medium (19.15%), high (31.91%) and very high (46.81%). So based on these results, the use of Quizizz learning media for MAN 1 Banjarmasin class X and XI IPS for the 2022/2023 school year is at a very high level (46.81%)
Development of Concept Map Assisted by Articulate Storyline 3 with Jigsaw Model on the Material of Islamic Kingdom in Indonesia
This research was motivated by the fact that at SMAN 2 Batang Anai there was no development of web-based media, which resulted in students being less active in learning and less enthusiastic, because they still used teaching modules and printed books in the learning process. The aim of this research is to produce media in the form of concept maps. This research uses research and development methods or often called Research and Development (R&D). The results of this research are, the development of a concept map assisted by Articulate Storyline 3 with a jigsaw model on Islamic kingdom material in Indonesia which includes validation from experts, namely media expert validation of 95.71%, that the development of the concept map assisted by Articulate Storyline 3 meets the criteria for learning media. history that is valid and has been tested on students in class X.4 Phase E of SMAN 2 Batang Anai which is categorized as very practical
Inventory of the Historical Heritage Site of Kedatukan Urung Sapuluh Dua Kuta in Hamparan Perak, Deli Serdang Regency
This research aims to find out historical heritage sites in Hamparan Perak District, and increase insight and understanding for the younger generation so that they know more about the local history of North Sumatra and increase awareness of the local community and government regarding the Kedatukan heritage site in Silver Overlay. This research uses qualitative methods, which focus on in-depth observations by interviewing sources, as well as conducting observations in the field and also using some documentation. Hamparan Perak Subdistrict, Deli Serdang Regency, was previously one of the main areas of Kedatukan Urung Sapuluh Dua Kuta and has left behind many historical relics. The results of research found by researchers are in the form of relics during the reign of Kedatukan Urung Sapuluh Dua Kuta, namely in the form of Mosques, Palace Houses, Tombs and Manuscripts
Do Butonese Women Need to Break the Cultural Taboos? (A Dilemma Among Butonese Women)
This research aims to analyze one of Indonesian ethnicity’s perspectives towards women empowerment and cultural taboos. In this context, the investigation focused on Butonese ethnic. Thus, this research employs ethnography research method. In attempt to gain the data, triangulations data collection techniques are employed including observation, FGD, and interview. The results reflected perceptions of Butonese Women from two different walk of life. In this case, the participants include housewives and career women. Butonese women proposed two different perspectives towards women empowerment. The first perspective is women empowerment considered as a radical resistance. Moreover, the second perspective claimed that women empowerment is an act of breaking the cultural taboos
History of Maleman Tradition in Ramadan and its Changes in Baseng Sub-village Sukoharjo Regency
This research aims to examine changes in the Maleman tradition in Baseng sub-village, Sukoharjo Regency, especially regarding changes in implementation, purpose, food, place of serving, and division of food cooking. This research uses a qualitative method with a historical approach, namely by analyzing events in a historical perspective. The data sources used include observation, interviews, and literature studies. Soekmono's cultural theory is seen in the Maleman tradition carried out in Baseng sub-village. The Maleman tradition reflects culture as a human creation that changes according to its needs. The results of this study can be concluded that the Maleman tradition in Baseng sub-village has undergone changes starting from the implementation, the purpose of holding the tradition, food, serving places, and the division of those who cook food. There are changes in the Maleman tradition in Baseng sub-village, the community continues to run it until now. Although not all can and want to participate in carrying out the tradition, they still respect each other
Transmigration Archives as History Learning Media for History Education Study Programme Students of STKIP PGRI Bandar Lampung
This study aims to determine the benefits of the Transmigration Archive as a History Learning Media for History Education Study Programme Students of STKIP PGRI Bandar Lampung. The research method used in this research is using a descriptive qualitative approach. Data collection techniques used in this research are literature study techniques, observation, interviews, and documentation. Data validity techniques use data source triangulation and for data analysis using data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. Transmigration archives are one of the sources that can be used as a medium for learning history, the transmigration archive was chosen because Lampung Province is the first transmigration site in Indonesia and there is also a transmigration museum that stores transmigration archives. There are various kinds of transmigration archives that can be found. currently there are various learning media used to support success in learning activities, one of which is by using transmigration archives. The results showed that the use of transmigration archives as learning media can be well received by students and can be used as one of the history learning media
Development of Teaching Materials in Curriculum Studies and History Textbooks
The aim of this research is to determine the development of scientific-based teaching materials in curriculum study courses and history textbooks. This research uses the R & D method, with the research model being the ADDIE model. From the research results, it was found that the percentage attainment level for the appropriateness of teaching materials was 87.5% after being adjusted to the feasibility table, the percentage achievement level of 87.5% was in very good qualifications. The development of teaching materials is very helpful and influences many things, starting from students being more active in learning, making it easier for students to understand the material being taught, and students enjoying lessons without feeling bored. Then the influence of the development of teaching materials for teachers or lecturers, teachers become more creative in developing teaching materials. Because developing teaching materials is not just floating around, teachers or lecturers are also required to follow the development of their students and be active and creative in looking for something that can be used in teaching. Teaching materials are also said to be of quality if they are interesting and of course relevant to learning and are appropriate, timely, and targeted. We can create teaching materials by looking for used materials which we modify as teaching materials, we can also search in libraries and other sources
