Efforts to Increase Students Motivation in Learning History Through Documentary Film Media in Class X SMK Taman Siswa 2 Jakarta
This article discusses efforts to increase student motivation in history subjects at a vocational high school using a learning medium, namely documentary films. The purpose of this study was to find out the use of documentary films as a learning medium in increasing motivation to study history for class X students majoring in electricity at SMK Taman Siswa 2 Jakarta. This classroom action research took the setting in class X of the Electrical Department of SMK Taman Siswa 2 Jakarta with a total of 35 students. Implementation of activities carried out through 2 cycles. Research data were obtained from observing learning activities, informants (students, teachers, and school principals), documents, and photos of activities with the stages of planning, action, observing, and reflecting. The results showed that there was an increase through the use of Documentary Film media related to student learning motivation in the History subject of class X students in the Electrical Department of SMK Taman Siswa 2. The average student activity reached 70% in cycle 1. In cycle 2 student activity increased by an average 80% in the high category. Students are more active in asking, answering, giving opinions, interacting with groups and collaborating in groups and thinking critically in conveying various arguments regarding various historical events and other social sciences related to these historical events
History of the Alaydrus Dynasty, Founder of the Kubu Sultanate in West Kalimantan in the XVIII-XIX centuries AD
This article aims to explain the history of the Alaydrus dynasty, founder of the Kubu Sultanate in West Kalimantan in the 18th-19th centuries AD. The method used is a historical method, while the sources used are a colonial article entitled Borneo's Wester Afdeeling which was published in 1854 AD by Pieter Johannes Veth, then Geneology and the Adventures of Syarif Idrus Alaydrus which was published by the Alaydrus family, and other secondary books. The result of the discussion in this article is that the Kubu Sultanate was founded by Syarif Idrus Alaydrus and had the title Tuan Besar Sultan Kubu. The Alaydrus dynasty itself is a family name in Hadramaut, Yemen. Alaydrus belonged to the Ba' Alawi tribe, descendants of Husein ra, in the 15th century AD. Sultans who once led the Kubu Sultanate included: Syarif Idrus bin Abdurrahman Alaydrus, Syarif Muhammad bin Idrus Alaydrus, Syarif Abdurrahman bin Muhammad Alaydrus, Syarif Ismail bin Abdurrahman Alaydrus, etc. In 1953 the Kubu Sultanate ended and became part of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia

Kajian mengenai Nasionalisme Kiai menjadi salah satu topik yang menarik untuk diteliti lebih dalam. Islam dan Nasionalisme di Indonesia seringkali dibenturkan dalam perjalanan politik bangsa Indonesia. Padahal, keberadaan Islam tidak dapat dipisahkan dari perjuangan bangsa Indonesia dalam meraih kemerdekan. Sejak masa pemerintahan kolonial Belanda, kiai dan santrinya menjadi kelompok yang senantiasa melakukan perlawanan terhadap pemerintah kolonial Belanda. Tulisan ini ditulis dengan menggunakan metode historis yang terdiri dari heuristik, verifikasi, interpretasi dan historiografi. Sebagai tulisan sejarah, tulisan ini menggunakan surat kabar sezaman sebagai sumber primer. Tulisan ini menggambarkan bagaimana nasionalisme tumbuh dalam diri K.H. Jamik Kotasan Mosque (1976-2023) and Islamic Education: Social and Religious History in Kotasan Village, Galang
Masjid memiliki berbagai multifungsi bagi umat Islam. Selain sebagai tempat beribadah, juga sebagai sarana untuk memperoleh pendidikan, pelaksanaan berbagai kegiatan sosial serta kegiatan keagamaan. Artikel ini memuat terkait sejarah sosial dan keagamaan masjid Jamik Kotasan melalui pendidikan Islam demi menjadikan masyarakat desa Kotasan menjadi insan kamil yang religius. Analisis latar belakang pendirian ditinjau dari aspek keagamaan, sosial, ekonomi dan intelektual, gaya arsitektural serta fungsi pendidikan, sosial dan keagamaan masjid Jamik Kotasan menjadi tujuan tulisan ini. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif jenis penelitian sejarah sosial dipadukan dengan sentuhan historis dan arkeologis, penelitian ini menemukan antara lain; masjid Jamik Kotasan adalah masjid pertama yang di dirikan di desa Kotasan dengan bantuan dari masyarakat. Kedua, gaya arsitektural masjid Jamik pada mula di dirikan menggunakan model yang sederhana seperti kubah masjid, mihrab (tempat imam) dan liwan (ruangan luas untuk menampung para jamaah). Setelah di renovasi bertambah menjadi mimbar, serambi masjid, menara serta tempat berwudhu’. Ketiga, fungsi pendirian masjid Jamik di fokuskan pada fungsi pendidikan, sosial dan keagamaan di desa Kotasa
The Development of Painting in the Dutch East Indies in 1800-1936
The development of art in the Dutch East Indies was very dynamic by what was the tendency of the school at that time. Before the influence of European culture entered the painting, Indonesian people had characteristics related to traditional painting. However, when the European genre of painting entered, it triggered the development of indies painting and indie mooi. Therefore, this article wants to examine the development of painting in the Dutch East Indies from 1800-1936. The method used is a literature study by reviewing journals, books, or historical sources that are contemporary or related to painting from 1800-1936. The results of this article found that before 1800, traditional painters used puppet media as a painting medium. Then the story's focus is the Heroic Stories, and the religious aspect takes precedence. However, when colonial penetration entered the painting, it was secular and more commercial according to market interests like mooi indie and indis. The Pita Maha in Bali is evidence of the acculturation of European and traditional painting to this day
Comic Media Development Remaining World War II Historical Site in Ambon Island
The purpose of this study was to develop appropriate comic learning media for Ambon Island historical heritage sites for students of the History Education Study Program at Pattimura University. To answer the existing problems, the researcher uses the Research and Development method using the ADDIE research model which consists of five stages, namely Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The data analysis technique was carried out descriptively and the data questionnaire was calculated qualitatively for expert validation and quantitatively for testing student respondents in history education study programs. The results showed that the validation results from learning material experts obtained a score of 40 and the percentage was 90%. The validation results from learning media experts obtained a score of 92 with a percentage of 96.8%. The validation results from linguists obtained a score of 31 and the percentage was 88.6%. Meanwhile, for student responses to learning media, a pretest test was carried out on 25 students of the history education study program which was 38.4 while the posttest score was 95.12
Dynamics of the Palang Pintu Tradition in Betawi Community Wedding Culture in Mampang Prapatan District 1990-2020
This research aims to determine the dynamics of the doorstop tradition in cultural studios in the Mampang Prapatan area around 1990-2020. The historical method was used in this study with a functional structural theory approach. The results of this research explain that the doorstop tradition has undergone various functional changes in the cultural life of the Betawi people in Jakarta. These changes include changes in cultural supporting instruments and the technical implementation of the doorstop tradition, although the values in this tradition have not disappeared and the implementation of this tradition has become a symbol that has a very meaningful meaning for Betawi people who want to get married. This tradition faces various challenges due to the development of the times and also the rapid development in Jakarta. Preservation is carried out by cultural practitioners, such as by introducing it to children and the general public so that this tradition is not lost in modern society
Sejarah Pengadilan di Batavia, 1619-1942
Tulisan ini mengulas secara kronologis sejarah pengadilan di Batavia 1619-1942. Sejak tiba di Indonesia, Kompeni sudah menganut Hukum Eropa. Lantas hukum ini diterapkan lewat lembaga peradilan yang dibentuk di Batavia. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengungkapkan bagaimana sejarah pengadilan di Batavia tahun 1619-1942. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian sejarah yang terdiri dari pemilihan topik, heuristik, kritik sumber, interpretasi, dan historiografi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembentukan pengadilan digunakan untuk melindungi kepentingan Belanda di tanah jajahan. Kendati pengadilan dibentuk untuk semua kalangan, diskriminasi tetap terasa lantaran pengadilan untuk orang Eropa dan Pribumi dipisah. Pemisahan ini terus berlangsung hingga Belanda angkat kaki dari Indonesia pada 1942
Pengembangan Model Pembelajaran Berbasis Multikultural Pada Mata Pelajaran Sejarah
Penerapan strategi pembelajaran sejarah mengasumsikan bahwa setiap peserta didik secara mendalam mempunyai pengetahuan dan pemahaman mengenai keberagaman pada kehidupan bermasyarakat. Penelitian dilakukan dengan pendekatan penelitian pengembangan merujuk pada model ADDIE. Hasil penelitian menunjukan (1) Kriteria validasi isi dari masing-masing kategori penilaian adalah sangat valid dengan rata-rata skor 90,31. (2) Kriteria validasi konstruk dari masing-masing kategori penilaian adalah sangat valid dengan rata-rata skor 92%. (3) Kriteria validasi RPP dari masing-masing kategori penilaian adalah sangat valid dengan rata-rata skor 98,15. Uji skala besar dilakukan dengan mengamati keterlaksanaan model pembelajaran berbasis multikultural dengan mengisi lembar instrumen pengamatan dilakukan saat pembelajaran berlangsung. Pada saat pembelajaran sejarah berlangsung peserta didik mencoba menerapkan kemampuan dalam aktualisasi diri dan menyadari adanya perbedaan dalam dirinya dengan orang lain. Pada akhir pembelajaran guru juga memberikan pemahaman mengenai perbedaan karakteristik peserta didik dengan orang lain di lingkungan luar sekolah
Teacher Readiness in Implementation of Merdeka Curriculum on Preparation of IPAS Teaching Devices My Indonesia Rich in Culture and History Material
The Merdeka Curriculum is the newest curriculum currently being implemented in Indonesia. The changes contained in the Merdeka Curriculum is in the composition of teaching devices and a new subject, namely Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS). Currently, many schools are adapting on implementing the Merdeka Curriculum, so it is necessary to have studies on analysis in the preparation of teaching devices, especially in natural and social science subjects so that implementation is in accordance with the Merdeka Curriculum. This study focused on IPAS subjects, especially on rich culture of my Indonesia material, to find out how teachers instill character values through culture and history to students. This study uses a descriptive qualitative research method with data collection techniques through interviews with teachers readiness and documentation of teaching devices. The result of this research will describe the teacher readiness analysis as well as the supporting factors and inhibiting factors faced by teachers in preparing the teaching devices for IPAS subjects in even semester at one of the leading schools in Tegal City, namely SDIT Usamah
