Integration of Chinese and Javanese Ethnicities in Multicultural Life as a Manifestation of Historical and Cultural Harmonization in Surakarta
This research reviews the integration and interaction between ethnic Chinese and Javanese in the city of Surakarta, with a focus on various aspects of community life. The background includes strong symptoms related to ethnic problems after the 1998 reformation, especially in Surakarta, and reconciliation efforts to reduce increasingly strong ethnic symptoms. The aim of the research is to understand how interactions are formed between the two ethnic groups through education, language, economics, religion, community activities, arts, marriage, and culture. The method used is the historical method with heuristic, criticism, interpretation, and historiography stages. The research results show that there is a positive interaction between ethnic Chinese and Javanese in various aspects of life, creating harmony and integration in Surakarta's multicultural society. In conclusion, this interaction plays an important role in maintaining social harmony and cultural diversity in the city of Surakarta
Traditional Expressions: A Folklore Study of Banjar People's Communication Patterns Based on History and Local Wisdom
As a collective culture passed down from generation to generation through oral tradition, folklore is still not widely known to the public. Even though the term folklore has been around for a long time, even long before the term culture, folklore is still considered a foreign science. In Indonesia, folklore studies and efforts to inventory various folklore have been carried out quite a lot, especially by James Danandjaya. However, until now there are still not many people doing Banjar folklore. This research found that the Banjar people's communication patterns are unique and have a local style. Traditional expressions contain many social, cultural, educational, economic, religious functions and values, outlook on life, leadership and even political values. This article aims to describe the various forms and functions of traditional expressions of the Banjar community or urang. The method used is descriptive qualitative, literature study and interviews. The results of the analysis show that the traditional expression urang Banjar has the function of softening sentences and as a medium for conveying criticism, advice and jokes
Promoting Gender Awareness through a Multicultural Approach in History Learning
This research is based on an awareness of the imbalance of gender representation in history teaching. For a long time, historical narratives constructed in history textbooks have often ignored women's contributions and created a limited narrative regarding the role of gender in the development of society. Indonesian historical narratives need to be reformulated through a multicultutal perspective approach to include the experiences and contributions of diverse gender groups from diverse backgrounds and cultures in the teaching of history. The purpose of this research is to strive for critical, sustainable and transformative reflection in teaching gender-aware history through a multicultural perspective. This research method uses qualitative research with a descriptive approach. The result of this research is a deep understanding and awareness of gender to students as well as knowledge of gender imbalance in Indonesian history materials
The Influence of the Project Based Learning (PJBL) Learning Model on Student Learning Outcomes in History Subjects
The aim of this research is to determine the effect of the Project Based Learning learning model on student learning outcomes in history subjects. This research uses quantitative methods. The sample was selected using random sampling. Data analysis techniques use normality test, homogeneity test, t-test, u-test. This can be proven by obtaining an average post-test score between experimental class students and control class students. 0.000 and the significance level value = 0.05, so 0.000 < 0.05 so that Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. Based on these calculations, it can be concluded that the experimental class learning was higher than the control class. The impact of this research is that after carrying out project-based learning students can improve learning outcomes because from the learning process students are directly involved in the learning process whereas before this research was carried out students were still using conventional learning methods so student learning outcomes were low. The conclusion of this research is that there is an influence of the Project Based Learning learning model on student learning outcomes in history subjects
Utilization of the Kedu Ex-Residency Museum (Place where the Prince was captured Diponegoro) as a source for Learning History
This research aims to describe how the use of the former Kedu Residency Museum, where Prince Diponegoro was captured by General De Kock, became a source of learning local history in history subjects at SMAN 4 Magelang. The research method used is qualitative with a descriptive approach. The data collection techniques include direct observation in museums and schools, in-depth interviews with museologists and history teachers, as well as museum and school documentation. The results of the research show: (1) the Former Kedu Residency Museum is the site of a historical event where Diponegoro was tricked and arrested by General De Kock through negotiations, (2) the Former Kedu Residency Museum is a cultural heritage building protected by the state, (3) History Teacher at SMAN 4 Magelang have used this museum as a local history learning laboratory, (4) The Museum Tour Learning Model is used by history teachers to provide students with direct experience learning local history
Strengthening Identity Through the Integration of Local History in the Learning Curriculum
In Indonesia, with its rich cultural diversity, strengthening identity is increasingly important for both individuals and communities. The integration of local history into learning curriculums is one method to achieve this strengthening of identity. This research aims to examine how the integration of local history can reinforce identity. The study employs a literature review approach, gathering data and information from various sources, including books, articles, and journals. The collected data encompasses theories on identity, previous research on local history integration, and practices of local history integration. The findings indicate that integrating local history strengthens identity in three ways: (1) developing a sense of belonging and connection with the community, (2) enhancing understanding of cultural roots, and (3) developing critical thinking skills and problem-solving abilities. The research concludes that the integration of local history is an effective strategy for strengthening identity
The Dynamics of Chinese Culture in the Suryakencana Chinatown Area of Bogor in 1970-2016
This research aims to determine the the Dynamics of Chinese Culture in the Suryakencana Chinatown Area of Bogor In 1970–2016. The method used in this research is historical methods, which includes several stages, namely heuristics, criticism, interpretation, and historiography. The research results show that there is a creation of China's central economic and residential area (Chinatown) which ultimately creates a cultural adaptation process that occurs between ethnic Chinese and local Sundanese communities in Suryakencana Chinatown area, This can be seen in elements of art, religion and infrastructure such as, Cap Go Meh cultural festival, Tangsin Ritual, and Lawang Suryakencana. The conclusions of this research show that the process of cultural adaptation has the potential to occur due to several factors such as, there are similarities between traditional Chinese culture and traditional Sundanese culture, the historical background of the Chinese people who made their living as traders, The basic nature of Chinese people is very adaptable and Sundanese people are known to be friendly. The Influence of using the Quizizz Application on the Interest in Learning History Among XI IPS Students at SMAN 1 Alalak
In the 21st century, rapid technological development has led to various new innovations, especially in educational media. This requires teachers to be able to use various types of educational media as a result of technological advancements. Quizizz can be a solution for teachers to utilize existing technology, making the learning process more engaging. The research method used in this study is a quantitative experimental method. The data collection technique used is a questionnaire. The data analysis method uses the Independent t-test. From the data analysis results using IBM SPSS version 25, it was found that there is a difference in the average post-test scores between the experimental class and the control class with a significance value (2-tailed) of 0.001. Therefore, it can be concluded that H1 is accepted and H0 is rejected. This indicates that the use of Quizizz as a learning medium has an impact on students' interest in learning History at SMAN 1 Alalak

Komunikasi Sambung Rasa is a communication form that used by Indonesian’s government at 1983 until 1999. This research will be figure about Komunikasi Sambung Rasa and why this communication system is choosen by the government. This research reveals the idea form of Komunikasi Sambung Rasa and how important to choose the right communication system, which is suitable by the people and the condition of the country. With historical method, this problems will be analyze with historical step by heuristic, verification, intrepretaion, dan historiography. This research will be reveals that Komunikasi Sambung Rasa is one of the effective communication from the government to enlightment and give information to the people, so the people feels involved and feels they are part of the government policy. This research is expected to be a documentation that Indonesia has been applied this communication system that called Komunikasi Sambung Rasa and show how effective it was. A History of the Afghan War (2001-2021) from a Defense Diplomacy Perspective
This paper discusses the asymmetric war in Afghanistan from 2001 to 2021 between the United States (US) and the Taliban from the perspective of defense diplomacy. The purpose of this paper is to identify assymetric war strategies and to evaluate defense diplomacy process to create peace. The research is based on qualitative method using secondary data from books, documents, and journals. The study indicates that defense diplomacy had succesfully led to the peace agreement, signed in Doha on February 29, 2020 between the US and the Taliban, which had been in conflict for nearly 20 years. However, the peace creation process is not easy due to the inhibiting factors which play more significant role than the supporting factors for defense diplomacy. Although the US, a super power, is supported by the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), Pakistan and several other countries, it is not a guarantee for the US to achieve its war objectives. The US goals and strategy continuously changed over time and imprecise in its implementation. The US’s failure to understand the political entity of the Taliban, particulary in the political, social and cultural aspects, is the main obstacle to achieving the US’ war goals and the ease implementation of defense diplomacy
