Indonesia is known as an agricultural country. This means that most of the population work in the agricultural sector related to food. However, food insecurity still occurs in Indonesia. With the COVID-19 pandemic, the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) stated that there was a threat of food scarcity which had an impact on food insecurity conditions. This would undermine the second goal of the SDGs, which is to end hunger and create sustainable agriculture. The purpose of this study was to determine the spatial pattern of food insecurity in each province in Indonesia using the bicluster method. The data used are data from Susenas and Sakernas by BPS in 2019. Several studies show that the bicluster method with the CC algorithm shows that each province group has a different characteristic pattern. In the bicluster approach, the researcher runs parameter tuning to select the best parameter based on the Mean Square Residual in Volume (MSR / V). The CC algorithm tries to get a bicluster with a low MSR value, therefore the best parameter is the one that produces the smallest MSR / V value, in this study the smallest MSR / V is 0,01737 with δ = 0,01. The application of the CC biclustering algorithm to the food insecurity structure in Indonesia results in 5 bicluster. Bicluster 1 consists of 15 provinces with 8 variables, Bicluster 2 consists of 10 provinces with 5 variables, Bicluster 3 consists of 3 provinces with 7 variables, Bicluster 4 consists of 4 provinces with 4 variables and Bicluster 5 consists of 2 provinces with 5 variables. Biculster 4 represents a cluster of food insecurity areas with the characteristics of the bicluster P0, P1, P2 and calorie consumption of less than 1400 KKAL.Indonesia dikenal sebagai negara agraris.

Comparison of Parameter Estimator Efficiency Levels of Path Analysis with Bootstrap and Jack Knife (Delete-5) Resampling Methods on Simulation Data

    Get PDF
In practice, the assumptions of normality are often not met, this causes the estimation of the resulting parameters to be less efficient. Problems with the assumption that normality is not met can be overcome by resampling. The use of resampling allows data to be applied free from distribution assumptions. In this study, a simulation study was carried out by applying bootstrap resampling and jackknife resampling (delete-5) on path analysis assuming that the normality of the alignment was not met and the resampling amount set at 1000 with the degree of closeness between variables consisting of low closeness, medium closeness, high closeness and closeness level representing the level low to high closeness. Based on the simulation results, the resampling 1000 magnitude is able to overcome the problem of the assumptions of unmet normality. In addition, a comparison between bootstrap and jackknife resampling for conditions of side normality assumptions is not fulfilled and the closeness of the relationship between low, medium, high and closeness variables representing low to high closeness levels, the estimation results of path analysis parameters obtained by resampling jackknife are more efficient than resampling bootstrap

Optimal control for SIR Model with The Influence of Vaccination, Quarantine and Immigration factor

    Get PDF
The SIR model is one of the mathematical model which describes the characteristic of the spread of infectious disease in differential equation form by dividing the human populations into three groups. There are individual susceptible group, individual infective group, and individual recovered group. This model involves vaccination, quarantine, and immigration factors. Vaccination and quarantine must be given as much as it needs, so a control is required to minimize infection of disease and the number of individual infective with a minimum costs. In this research, optimal control of SIR model with vaccination, quarantine, and immigration factor is solved by using Pontryagin maximum principle and numerically simulated by using Runge-Kutta method. Numerical simulation results show optimal control of treatment, citizen of vaccination, immigrant of vaccination, and quarantine will accelerate the decline of infected number with the minimum cost, compared with the optimal control of SIR model without quarantine factor

    No full text
Stability of equilibrium points of the prey-predator model with diseases that spreads in predators where the predation function follows the simplified Holling type IV functional response are investigated. To find out the local stability of the equilibrium point of the model, the system is then linearized around the equilibrium point using the Jacobian matrix method, and stability of the equilibrium point is determined via the eigenvalues method. There exists three non-negative equilibrium points, except , that may exist and stable. Simulation results show that with the variation of several parameter values infection rate of disease , the diseases in the system may become endemic, or may become free from endemic.
