Kesan tret personaliti terhadap prestasi kerja dikalangan warga kerja Kementerian Tenaga, Teknologi Hijau dan Air (KeTTHA - FASS Final Project (Psychology)
Kajian ini bertujuan untuk mengenal pasti kesan tret personaliti terhadap prestasi kerja di kalangan warga kerja Kementerian Tenaga, Teknologi Hijau dan Air (KeTTHA). Seramai 100 orang warga KeTTHA dalam Kumpulan Perkhidmatan Pengurusan & Profesional (n=43) dan Pelaksana (n=57) terlibat dalam kajian ini dengan kaedah persampelan secara rawak. Bagi tujuan pengumpulan data, soal selidik Model Lima Faktor dan Prestasi Kerja menggunakan Skala Likert ditadbirkan kepada responden kajian. Bagi menganalisa data yang diperolehi, penyelidik menggunakan perisian Special Package for the Social Statistic (SPSS) for Window versi 22. Hasil kajian telah dianalisis secara deskriptif dengan menggunakan kekerapan dan peratusan bagi maklumat demografi responden manakala bagi tret personaliti dan prestasi kerja responden dianalisis melalui nilai skor min dalam menentukan tahap tinggi, sederhana dan rendah. Analisis korelasi Pearson digunakan bagi mengkaji perkaitan antara setiap pemboleh ubah tidak bersandar dan pemboleh ubah bersandar. Dapatan kajian menunjukkan tahap personaliti (min=3.16) dan tahap prestasi kerja (min=5.27) responden berada di tahap sederhana. Dapatan kajian juga menunjukkan terdapat hubungan negatif yang signifikan pada tret penyesuaian dengan prestasi kerja pada aras p<0.5. Dimensi tret personaliti pergaulan, persetujuan, keterbukaan minda dan kesungguhan tidak mempunyai hubungan signifikan dengan prestasi kerja. Dapatan ini membantu pihak organisasi mengetahui tahap personaliti dan prestasi kerja pegawai-pegawainya di tahap rendah, sederhana dan tinggi. Selain itu, dapatan ini boleh dijadikan rujukan dalam perancangan dan perlaksanaan program-program pembangunan di KeTTHA. Kajian seperti ini juga boleh diperluaskan ke semua kementerian bagi mendapatkan data tahap personaliti dan prestasi pekerja perkhidmatan awam sama ada berada pada suatu tahap kecekapan dan prestasi kerja tertentu. Flow and Heat Transfer in a Liquid Film over a Permeable Stretching Sheet
An analysis has been carried out to study the flow and heat transfer in a liquid film over a permeable stretching sheet. Using similarity transformations, the time-dependent boundary layer equations are reduced to a set of nonlinear ordinary differential equations. The resulting parameter problem and velocity as well as temperature fields are solved using the homotopy analysis method (HAM). Analytic series solutions are given, and numerical results for velocity and the temperature profiles are presented through graphs of different values for pertinent parameter. The effects of unsteadiness parameter and permeability parameter on the velocity and temperature profiles are explored for different values of blowing or suction parameter. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR

Effects of Thermocapillarity and Thermal Radiation on Flow and Heat Transfer in a Thin Liquid Film on an Unsteady Stretching Sheet
This paper examines the effects of thermocapillarity and thermal radiation on the boundary layer flow and heat transfer in a thin film on an unsteady stretching sheet with nonuniform heat source/sink. The governing partial differential equations are converted into ordinary differential equations by a similarity transformation and then are solved by using the homotopy analysis method (HAM). The effects of the radiation parameter, the thermocapillarity number, and the temperature-dependent parameter in this study are discussed and presented graphically via velocity and temperature profiles. Computer Simulations of Pulsatile Blood Flow in Fusiform Models of Abdominal Aortic Aneurysms
Flow dynamics have been investigated in model aneurysms under physiologically realistic pulsatile flow condition via computational modeling techniques. The computer simulations are based on finite element method. Vortex pattern emergence and evolution were evaluated. Throughout the bulge in all models regardless of size, the systolic flow was found to be forward-directed. Vortices were initially evident in the bulge during deceleration from peak systole and further expanded during the retrograde flow phase. Flow in larger models become increasingly unstable compared to smaller models. It was also noted that these unstable flow fields were much significant towards the distal half of the bulge models. This increased intensity of turbulent flow fields in larger models may contribute significantly to wall shear stress magnitude and subsequently contributing to higher rupture risks. The implementation of mobile libraries (m-libraries) in Open University Malaysia
This paper highlights the implementation of mobile libraries (m-libraries) initiative at Open University Malaysia (OUM). Established to expand its reach to existing user base and increase its appeal to segments that were previously unreachable, this initiative will support the concept of ubiquitous learning among OUM Learners. The usage of m-libraries among OUM community also will be discussed. Type of information retrieved when using m-libraries will be elaborated. The role of Quick Reading Codes (QR-Codes) in m-libraries environment and findings on usability test on the implementation of OUM m-libraries will be presented. Finally, the future of m-libraries will be briefly discussed
"Building Core-Competencies for Sustainability through Leadership and Teamwork - the Experience of a leading ODL Institution's Star Faculty
Malaysia’s quest for achieving the status of a developed nation and increasing competition in the
workforce has spurred working adults to enroll in higher learning institutions. Due to work and time
constraints, most of these learners have chosen to opt for open and distance learning where they can
engage in their studies while continuing to work at the same time. Open University Malaysia, as the
leading ODL institution in the country, strives to fulfill its learners’ expectations while at the same time
trying to forge ahead with limitations in terms of workforce, technological changes and increased
competition faced by most ODL institutions. Taking these limitations in mind and realising that its future
sustainability lies in its core competencies, the university’s Faculty of Business and Management has
undertaken a massive move to build these competencies. Through sheer hard work and determination,
the faculty has risen to be a “star” faculty in the university – showing improvements in terms of quality
assessment and learning materials matched with an increase in student numbers and student satisfaction.
This study shares their experiences and their secrets to success. Theirs is a journey of transformational
leadership and teamwork, where two leaders lead from the front and behind - propelling a strong team

Boosting Malaysian Tourism – The Food Way!
Malaysia‟s aim to become a developed nation has spurred growth in many areas of the economy
including tourism. Malaysian tourism destinations have been well promoted along with the uniqueness of the
Malaysian culture which is an exciting blend of the Malay, Chinese, Indian and other native subcultures.
However, one of the reasons tourists repeatedly come back to the country has been neglected. This paper
focuses on this – how food can be used as a strategy to boost Malaysian tourism. A comparative study is
done on how Hong Kong and Singapore has capitalized on food in their tourism initiatives. Based on this, a
comparison is then made on what has been done in Malaysia and what is still missing. Five key strategies
are proposed to boost Malaysian tourism including food trails, on-line promotions, quality certification,
culinary classes and packages and community involvement. These will contribute to the number of tourist
arrivals, regional development, tourist pattern of dispersion and community development. (Abstract by authors
