This community service program focused on improving the digital literacy of students at SMPN 1 Trowulan through Microsoft Word training. The main problem faced was students' low skill level in using word processing applications due to limited facilities, limited computer practice, and the predominant use of smartphones over computers. The activity method consisted of initial observation, development of training modules, implementation of step-by-step practice, intensive mentoring, and evaluation of results. The training materials included an introduction to basic features, document organization, insertion of images and tables, and preparation of reports in accordance with academic standards. The results showed a significant improvement in students' digital skills, demonstrated by their ability to create simple documents, adjust text formatting, and compile neat reports. Furthermore, the training fostered learning motivation, increased self-confidence, and encouraged students' creativity in utilizing technology. The program's impact was felt not only by students but also by teachers and the school through the availability of training modules that can be used continuously. Thus, this Microsoft Word training is an important first step in realizing the digitalization of education at SMPN 1 Trowulan

This study aims to enhance students’ achievement in solving mixed arithmetic operations through the implementation of Seblak Mathematics media for third-grade students at SDN Bakalan Sumobito. The research was motivated by the low level of student interest and engagement in mathematics learning, which has largely been dominated by conventional methods and abstract explanations. Seblak Mathematics was developed as a contextual learning medium by integrating seblak, a local culinary element, to create lessons that are both engaging and closely tied to students’ everyday experiences. The research employed several stages, including needs analysis, media design, classroom implementation, and evaluation through teacher reflection. Findings revealed that the use of Seblak Mathematics significantly improved students’ learning motivation, strengthened classroom interactions, and deepened their understanding of mixed arithmetic concepts. Teachers responded positively, highlighting the practicality, ease of application, and adaptability of the media across various classroom conditions. In conclusion, this study demonstrates that culturally relevant and creative learning media can substantially improve elementary students’ mathematics performance. Furthermore, such media fosters active participation, enjoyable learning, and more meaningful classroom experiences. &nbsp

Students' Perception of Using Perplexity Application in Writing Skills at English Department

This research aims to determine Unwaha students' perception of using the perplexity application in their writing skills. The respondents of this research were 24 students of English Department 5 term at KH. A. Wahab Hasbullah University, Jombang. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative using triangulation in 3 stages, namely data reduction, data display, and conclusion. On the first day, students are introduced to the Perplexity application and asked to use Perplexity in learning writing skills. On the second day, students were asked to fill out questionnaires and interviews to collect data related to student perceptions through the Perplexity application in writing skills. The results of student responses stated that 74.8% of students responded well to the presence of perplexity in learning writing skills. This shows that perplexity has had a positive impact on students. Perplexity is considered a supporter in learning writing skills.

Design of Interactive Media on Dynamic Electricity as Alternative Physics Learning Approach

The development of digital technology has brought significant transformations in various aspects of life, including education. This study aims to develop and validate interactive learning media based on the Canva application for the topic of Dynamic Electricity. Physics learning in secondary schools is still hampered by the dominance of conventional methods and the use of static, non-interactive media, resulting in low student engagement and weak conceptual understanding, especially in dynamic electricity materials. The media is designed to visualize abstract concepts such as current, voltage, resistance, and Ohm's Law to make them easier for students to understand. This research is a research and development study referring to the development model proposed by Borg and Gall. Validation was carried out by material experts, media experts, and linguists. The validation results indicate that the media is considered very valid and feasible for use, with eligibility criteria including content, accuracy, design, and language use. Thus, this media has the potential to increase student motivation and understanding. However, this research is still limited to the validation stage; therefore, further classroom trials are needed to measure its effectiveness

Problem-Based Learning Guidelines for Optimizing Science Process Skills

Teachers should be able to stimulate students' science process skills or be able to stimulate students' creativity. This study aims to develop a practical work guideline for Basic Electronics I based on Problem-Based Learning (PBL) designed to improve the science process skills of physics education students. This study uses a 4D development model, but is limited to the Develop stage, with a focus on a systematic planning process and the development of valid and practical teaching materials. The research data consists of expert validation and student responses regarding the practicality of the developed product. The instruments used were an expert validation sheet and a student response questionnaire, both using a Likert scale of 1–4. Data were analyzed quantitatively by calculating the average score and percentage, then broken down into levels of validity and practicality. The results showed that the practical guidelines were assessed as “very valid” by material experts (85%) and media experts (86%). Student responses to the practicality questionnaire also showed “very practical” with a score of 88.7% and a positive response of 81.3%. These findings indicate that the PBL-based Basic Electronics I practicum guidelines, which include Kirchhoff's Current Law, Ohm's Law, and voltage dividers, are valid and practical, making them suitable for use as alternative teaching materials to support practicum activities and optimize students' science process skills. Further researchers are advised to add learning outcome evaluation instruments to determine the direct impact of PBL-based practicum guidelines on students' conceptual mastery and critical thinking skills

School Inventory Management Using Android Based QR code

Inventory management of school facilities is an essential part of asset management to ensure the availability, condition, and effective use of items. However, manual inventory recording often leads to data inaccuracies, difficulties in tracking, and consumes a significant amount of time and effort. Therefore, this study aims to design and develop a mobile application based on Android to assist the inventory management process of school facilities more efficiently and accurately by utilizing QR Code technology. The application is developed using Java/Kotlin programming language and Android Studio framework, with SQLite used for local data storage and PHP-MySQL for data synchronization to the server when connected to the internet. The main features include inventory data input, QR Code generation and printing, QR Code scanning for item tracking, item condition updates, and damaged or repair-needed item reporting. The system is also equipped with user authentication to ensure that only administrators have access to the data. The testing results show that the application runs well on Android devices and is capable of managing inventory data more quickly and accurately compared to manual methods. The integration of QR Codes facilitates instant item identification through scanning, thereby accelerating the recording and checking processes. Thus, this application is expected to be a practical and efficient solution for inventory management in school environments

Implementation of Smart Chatbot on Skincare E-Commerce Website Using Groq API

Slow and limited availability of customer service during specific hours continues to be a significant challenge in the e-commerce sector, especially when it comes to providing prompt, detailed, and accurate product information. This study effectively created and implemented an intelligent chatbot utilizing the Groq API, which is capable of delivering automated, real-time customer assistance around the clock. The Groq API was chosen for its capacity to handle natural language data with exceptionally low latency, facilitating quick interactions between users and the system. The chatbot system was integrated into a skincare e-commerce platform and developed using the Waterfall methodology, which outlines the stages of requirements analysis, system design, implementation, testing, and maintenance. The system underwent functional testing and showed rapid and precise response performance. The testing outcomes reveal that the chatbot can provide replies with an average response time of roughly ±1.4 seconds and a response accuracy rate of 90%. Moreover, the chatbot is adept at maintaining appropriate domain boundaries while addressing out-of-context or non-skincare-related inquiries. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that the designed chatbot operates effectively, improving customer service efficiency, speeding up the product consultation process, and potentially enhancing customer satisfaction and loyalty on skincare e-commerce sites
