One of dental treatments on gangrene radix is an extraction. However, tooth extraction on the chronic gangrene radix needs particular procedure since this condition frequently emerges periapical disorder like dental granuloma or radicular cyst. Both dental granuloma and radicular cyst may rest and grow to be jaw cyst leading to the damage of jawbone although the causing tooth has already been removed. The procedure of tooth extraction with chronic gangrene radix covers extraction accompanied with enucleation and curettage of periodontal tissue using both close method and open metho

TRLS is a homologous protein located at APC membrane cell worl as a functional receptor to activate leucocyte lead to onduce mentriger responsimun innate or inflamatory respons against palogenic againt. Functional receptor is associated wuth kinase respons to produce sitokyn and microbidal subtance. The aim of the study is to examine the respons to produce sitokyn and microbidal subtance. The aim of the study is to examine the role TLRs on innate immunity it is concluded that the role of TLRS is important functional receptor which activate leucocyte to induce mentriger respons imun innate or an inflamators respons against patogenic agent

The reconstruction of bone defects remains a challenge for the oral surgeon until now, because the healing process is often susceptible to interference or even failure. To assist the process of bone healing, do therapy by using a material or the bone graft substitute material. Bone graft should have three basic functions such as osteogenesis, osteoinduction and osteoconduction. The high level of bone graft demands led to the researchers and surgeons continue to develop biomaterials as an alternative. The use of autografts is still the gold standart for the restoration of bone defects. One of the bioceramics are frequently used in biomedical applications as an ingredientsubstitution therapy or bone graft is a synthetic hydroxyapatite. The composition of hydroxyapatite crystals have an overview identical to hydroxyapatite in bone. This material is biocompatible, osteokonduktif, and can be fused with the bone so that it can improve the process of bone regeneration

Introduction: The problem of bacterial resistance to antibiotics is a growing problem worldwide. Health center as a unit of local government health services are organized dental health services in the areas they use different types of antibiotics in improving public health. Purpose: discuss the administration of antibiotics in healthcenters. Results: The pattern of antibiotics has differences between health centers both in the amount and types of antibiotics. Conclusion: A wide range of variation of administration of antibiotics in health centers could occur because of differences in the availability, knowledge and creativity dentist dentist in the clini

PERAN AGEN REMINERALISASI PADA LESI KARIES DINI

Remineralization is a natural repair process for caries lesions. It is now well-accepted that the primary modes of action of fluoride are enhancement of remineralization, inhibition of demineralization, and inhibition of plaque bacteria, with remineralization being the most important. This study to aimed to understanding the role of remineralization methods to alter mineral balance on management of non-invasive dental caries. Calcium and phosphate delivery can be enhanced to improve remineralization, especially in persons with reduced salivary function. There is a great need for improved and novel remineralization methods to alter the caries balance for the better, especially in individuals with a high cariogenic bacterial challenge. There was also influence of fluoride and carbonate on the remineralization process. Dentinal tubules were occluded by apatite crystallites is a feature also shared by transparent dentin beneath caries lesions and age-induced transparent dentin. It is based on unstabilized amorphous calcium phosphate (ACP), where a calcium salt and a phosphate salt are delivered intra-orally or delivered in a product with a low water activity. As the salts mix with saliva, they dissolve, releasing calcium and phosphate ions. The mixing of calcium ions with phosphate ions to produce an ion activity product for amorphous calcium phosphate that exceeds its solubility product results in the immediate precipitation of ACP or, in the presence of fluoride ions, amorphous calcium fluoride phosphate (ACFP). In the intra-oral en vironment, these phases (ACP and ACFP) are potentially very unstable and may rapidly transform into a more thermodynamically stable, crystalline phase (e.g., hydroxyapatite and fluorhydroxyapatite). However, before phase transformation, calcium and phosphate ions should be transiently bioavailable to promote enamel subsurface lesion remineralization

Base materials of removable partial denture are usually from acrylic and thermoplastic nylon resin. Both of materials have advantages and disadvantages. Acrylic resin properties have good esthetic, the color like gum, cheap, and easy to repair it. The disadvantage is easy to porous. Thermoplastic nylon resin is flexible material, not use retention wire, thinner, more translucent, has goo esthetic, and difficult to be broken. Disadvantages of this resin are easy to be shrinkage, to absorp water and dimensional changes. One of effort to clean denture is by soaking in some liquid for 6 – 8 hours. Denture always contacts with saliva or drinking water. Aim of this study is to know the different of denture base color stability of acrylic and thermoplastic nylon resin toward liquid absorption. Samples were acrylic and thermoplastic nylon resin in and soaked in aquadest for 7 days. The control is sampels before soaked in aquadest. Color stability was tested densitometer. The result showed there was significant different color stability between acrylic and thermoplastic nylon resin that before and after soaking in aquadest for 7 days. The conclussion is thermoplastic nylon resin absorpt liquid more than acrilyc resin and it made color changing

The purpose of this study was to evaluate the decreasing of erythrocyte cappilary blood vessel on X-ray radiation exposure with periapicale radiography dosage. This study is laboratory experimental research that used the Post-Test Control Group Design. The sample research was mus musculus, male, 3–4 month of age, 20– 25 g of weight and healthy. There were 24 mus musculus that were divided into 6 groups wich each group 6 mus musculus: the first group was used as a control group (no X-ray radiation exposure), the second group was induced with X-ray radiation with once exposure of periapicale radiography dosage. The third group was induced with X-ray radiation with six- time exposure of periapicale radiography with 1 minute of interval. The fourth group was induced with X-ray radiation with fourteen-time exposure of periapicale radiography dosage with 1 minute of interval. The source of radiation was the X-ray radiation exposure was given from dental radiography unit (thropy) : periapicale projection, 70 Kvolt voltage, 8 mA, 20 cm of Source Object Distance (SOD), adult patient type and molar region selector. The entire sample was taken hereinafter sacrificed 24 hours after radiation exposure. The observation and counting of erythrocyte using with erythrocyte counting room. The data were statistically analyzed using one-way anova at significant level (α) of 0.05. The results of this study showed that was decreasing an amount of erythrocyte cappilary blood vessel; at control group was 2,5833 million cell/mm3, at the second group was 2,4167 million cell/mm3, at the third group was 2,3500 million cell/mm3, and the fourth group was 2,0000 million cell/mm3.There was significant decreasing an amount of erythrocyte among the four groups (p < 0.05). There were decreasing an amount of erythrocyte cappilary blood vessel was caused by X-ray radiation induced from periapicale radiograph

THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN SALIVARY FLOW RATE AND CALCIUM ION SECRETION IN SALIVA.

The aim of this research is to describe the relationship between salivary flow rate and number of calcium ion secretions in saliva. This study involved 10 young-adult dental school students of Jember University. Using the spitting method, the amount of saliva secreted was measured. Calcium ion secreted within the saliva fluid was measured using Flame Fotometer. The research results showed that there is relation between salivary flow rate andthe number of calcium ion secretion in saliv
