Evaluation of the learning curve for intraoral scanning in vivo
Aim or purpose: The integration of intraoral scanners (IOS) has improved digital impression accuracy and efficiency, but mastering these devices requires practice. Understanding the learning curve is essential for optimizing training programs for new users. This study evaluates how scanning time and
total frames captured improve as students gain experience, comparing their performance to that of an experienced clinician.
Materials and methods: Twenty, fifth-year dental students with no prior IOS experience performed 20 full-mouth scans (maxillary, mandibular, and bite) on volunteer patients using the Heron IOS (3DISC). Scanning time (minutes) and total frames were recorded for the 1st, 10th, and 20th scans. An experienced clinician completed a full scan in 4 minutes (1.5 minutes per jaw, 30 seconds for bite) with an average of 3700 frames perjaw. Data were analyzed using ANOVA and t-tests.
Results: Scanning time decreased significantly from 17.2 § 2.4 min (1st scan) to 9.1 § 1.3 min (20th scan, p < 0.05), but remained slower than the expert (p < 0.01). Total frames cap tured reduced from 8150 § 420 to 4750 § 280 (p < 0.05), indicating improved technique.
Conclusions: Students exhibited significant improvements in efficiency but despite notable progress, their performance remained below expert levels, emphasizing the need for structured training. Intraoral scanning efficiency improves with practice, but training is necessary to enhance proficiency and bridge the gap between novices and experienced clinicians.

Makedonya'da Türkoloji Araştırmalarının Başlangıcı ve Gelişmesi
1943 yılında Makedonya’yı da içeren Demokratik Federal Yugoslavya kuruldu, 1945’te Yugoslavya Federal Halk Cumhuriyeti oldu; 1963 yılında adı Yugoslavya Sosyalist Federal Cumhuriyeti olarak değiştirildi. Makedonya Cumhuriyeti, Yugoslav federasyonunda bir cumhuriyet oldu. 1943 yılında Demokratik Federal Makedonya Cumhuriyeti, 1945’te Federal Makedonya Halk Cumhuriyeti, 1963’te Sosyalist Federal Makedonya Cumhuriyeti idi.

In 1943, the Democratic Federal Yugoslavia, which also included Macedonia, was established. In 1945, it became the Federal People’s Republic of Yugoslavia, and in 1963 its name was changed to the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia. Within this federation, Macedonia functioned as one of the republics: in 1943 as the Democratic Federal Republic of Macedonia, in 1945 as the Federal People’s Republic of Macedonia, and in 1963 as the Socialist Federal Republic of Macedonia. In 1991, it declared independence and assumed the name the Republic of Macedonia. In 2019, the country was officially renamed the Republic of North Macedonia. During this period, to advance education and science, a number of educational and scientific institutions were founded in Macedonia. These institutions pursued a strategy by utilizing available resources to initiate and develop Turkology research, thus preparing a strong foundation that has now evolved into an established tradition. At present, Turkology research is carried out at three state universities and one private university: the Department of Turkish Language and Literature at the Blaže Koneski Faculty of Philology, Ss. Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje; the Department of Turkish Language and Literature at the Faculty of Philology, Goce Delčev University in Štip; the Department of Oriental Studies (Eastern Languages) at the Faculty of Philosophy, Tetovo State University; and the Department of Turkish Language Education and Teaching at the Faculty of Education, International Balkan University, a private university in Skopje.

The numerous positive experiences from the use of the smart system for remote reading of drinking water serve as an incentive to analyze the possibility of applying the smart system in the Republic of North Macedonia. For this purpose, both the existing and the smart system were analyzed, with the most appropriate criteria being selected, both qualitative and quantitative, based on various practical and scientific findings. Each of the systems is described through all the established criteria, after which a comparative analysis of these two quantity drinking water metering systems was carried out, and the benefits of applying the smart system for measuring drinking water were determined
The impact of recreational activities in hotels on the mental health of guests
Today’s guest no longer seeks just accommodation and food but a complete experience that includes physical, mental, and emotional well-being. This shift in expectations has prompted the hotel sector to innovate, offering wellness programs, mindfulness activities, and personalized services that cater to the holistic needs of guests. As a result, hotels are transforming into sanctuaries that prioritize the overall health and happiness of their guests. In this context, recreational activities in hotels play an increasingly important role as a means of preventing and promoting mental health. Therefore, this research aims to examine the impact of various recreational activities—such as yoga, fitness, water sports, hiking, and group games—on the psychological well-being of guests during their stay. With a quantitative questionnaire for guests, their levels of stress, anxiety, mood, and perception of their own well-being will be analyzed after participation in recreational programs. This research will provide valuable insights into how these activities contribute to improving mental health outcomes. By identifying effective recreational options, hotels can better cater to their guests' needs, ultimately increasing their seamless experience and satisfaction during their stay. Additionally, this paper will contribute to the development of targeted recreational programs that not only respond to the needs of different guest profiles but also foster a supportive environment for mental health. As a result, hotels may position themselves as leaders in promoting holistic well-being in the hotel sector
