Evaluation in Distance Education
This paper explores the evaluation of distance education (DE) through various qualitative and quantitative methods, focusing on key variables that influence student engagement and performance. The research emphasizes the importance of evaluating the use of technology in education, highlighting the need for well-defined variables and clear research questions to measure the effectiveness of DE programs. Generally, the paper discusses three key evaluation tools: Joosten’s inventory, the Motivated Strategies for Learning Questionnaire (MSLQ), and the Online Self-Regulated Learning Questionnaire (OSLQ), each tailored to assess different aspects of student experiences and self-regulation in online learning environments. These tools provide valuable insights into how students interact with DE courses and the strategies they use to succeed, with the potential to inform the future development and improvement of distance education programs. The paper concludes by emphasizing the importance of continuous data collection throughout the semester to ensure accurate and timely evaluations, which are crucial for enhancing DE effectiveness and addressing challenges associated with this rapidly growing educational model
Surgical treatment of radicular cyst in maxilla - a case report
Radicular cysts are most common odontogenic cysts. Many of them are usually asymptomatic and can be detected incidentally on routine radiography before symptoms appear.
Cysts can vary in size, and over the years can grow and disrupt bone continuity. Causes of jaw cysts are different, numerous and depend on the type of cyst. Lately, CBCT-cone beam computed tomography is the most common diagnostic method for detecting them. The possibilities for their treatment and the choice of surgical method depend on the size of the cyst and its location. The aim of this case report is to present the clinical symptoms and treatment of a radicular cyst in a 69 years-old male patient. The main complaint of the patient was swelling on the right upper tooth region. The radiographic examination and CBCT revealed the presence of a well-defined radiolucency surrounded by a corticated border between right lateral incisive and
canine in maxilla. Patient sometimes had pain swelling but It has been recurring in recent years and the condition was improving with the administration of antibiotic therapy. Surgical treatment with tooth extraction of canine with cystectomy and apicoectomy of lateral incisive were the
methods of choice. This case report discusses a diagnosis and successful surgical therapy for a radicular cyst
Analytical review of the influence of 19th century costume on fashion trends through spring/summer 2007 collections
During the first decade of the XXI century, the bearers of the new in fashion or fashion designers, stylists, influential and creative personalities manage to develop and try out numerous technologies for irritating (teasing) a part of society, relying on style differences, with which they will cause cardinality, imposingness and a self-proclaimed replica of something that already existed, something that has already been tried and confirmed as successful and influential, regardless of whether in a positive or negative way. Rarely anyone can recognize this and most often they are people with an analytical tendency and a deep and high-quality theoretical basis and knowledge not only of the modern, but also of the historical costume as a whole. In relation to the latter, the subject of research in this paper is the historical costume of the XIX century - its visual-aesthetic forms and accents, and motivating elements and segments that make it an object and model for recreating new fashion in the trends of spring-summer collections in 2007.
Key words: historical costume of the XIX century, implication, fashion of the XXI century – year 200
Effectiveness of Macedonian anti-corruption legislation and implementation gaps
The paper addresses a crucial issue in the fight against corruption, which is whether anti-corruption legislation is effectively implemented in practice.
The author has conducted an analysis of the implementation of several essential competencies of the State Commission for the Prevention of Corruption, as well as data from competent institutions on persons convicted of corruption crimes.
The paper emphasizes that North Macedonia has a generally good legal framework for the fight against corruption, but weak implementation, which has also been noted in reports by international organizations, is a fundamental problem for the proper fight against corruption.
The author pays special attention to the level of implementation of the strategic document for the fight against corruption - the National Strategy and the consequences of the poor implementation of this document.
The paper uses the method of content analysis, as well as the statistical method. In addition, official data from competent institutions were used.
Strengthening the fight against corruption is a prerequisite for the rule of law and in this direction it is necessary for the competent institutions to take action to fully implement their competencies, which implies normative and institutional changes in order to achieve effective implementation of the regulation
Digitally guided dentistry vs conventional methods in diagnosis and treatment of rare cases of supernumerary teeth- Case report
Supernumerary teeth are odontostomatologic anomaly characterized by the existence of excessive number of teeth in relation to the normal dental formula. The possible mechanisms of development are described, with a localized hyperactivity of the dental lamina being the most widely accepted theory. Many studies reported the prevalence of 0.15% to 3.8% supernumerary teeth in the permanent dentition. Supernumerary premolars are very rare and occur with a prevalence of 0.29–0.64% They are also the most common supernumerary teeth in the mandibular arch (7%), and their incidence is 1%. Maxillary supernumerary premolars are found to occur at a lower rate (26%). The occurrence of multiple (more than two) supernumerary teeth without any associated systemic conditions or syndromes, however, is a rare phenomenon and occurs in less than 1% of cases. 75% of these teeth are impacted, unerupted, and generally asymptomatic. Supernumerary premolars may not become radiographically visible until the patient’s normal premolars have erupted. For early diagnosis and appropriate follow-up the use of digital dentistry, instead of conventional X - ray is extremely important.
A rare occurrence of a supernumerary premolar in the upper jaw in а 17-year-old girl, who complaint of frequent pain during eating food, itching in gum with occasional bleeding. Intraoral examination revealed presence of supernumerary tooth which was present in maxillary premolar region.
The Panoramic X-ray didn`t show the contours of the supernumerary tooth, but after making the 3D the rudimentary tooth was shown in the premolar area.
The patient was advised for extraction and possible orthodontic treatment after the surgical intervention, which was performed under local anesthesia.
Conclusion. Digitally guided dentistry provides superior advantages in the diagnosis and therapy of supernumerary teeth

Diagnosis and treatment of dentin hypersensitivity
Objective: The aim of this study is to investigate the primary causes of dentin hypersensitivity, the type of pain associated with it, the teeth most commonly affected, and the preventive measures that dentists recommend. Additionally, we explored the most effective treatments, including those for in-office and at-home use.
Methods: For this research, questionnaires were developed and distributed to 30 dental offices.
Results: According to the surveyed dentists, premolars and molars are most frequently affected by dentin hypersensitivity (63.63%). In terms of the side of the tooth most commonly affected, 72.73% of respondents indicated that it occurs most often on the vestibular side. For home treatment of dentin hypersensitivity, toothpastes are the most commonly used remedy (54.55%), followed by mouthwashes (45.45%). For sealing dentinal tubules, fluoride-based products are the most common (45.46%), followed by adhesives (36.36%) and varnishes (18.18%). Notably, none of the surveyed practices use lasers for sealing dentinal tubules.
Conclusions: When dealing with a patient presenting all the symptoms of dentin hypersensitivity, the most important step is to perform a differential diagnosis to distinguish it from other types of orofacial pain, and provide appropriate treatment, which can be either home-based, in-office, or a combination of both.

A Generic Taxonomy for Steganography Methods
A unified understanding of terms is essential for every scientific discipline: steganography is no exception. Being divided into several domains (e.g., network and text steganography), it is crucial to provide a unified terminology as well as a taxonomy that is not limited to few applications or areas. A prime attempt towards a unified understanding of terms was conducted in 2015 with the introduction of a pattern-based taxonomy for network steganography. In 2021, the first work towards a pattern-based taxonomy for all domains of steganography was proposed. However, this initial attempt still faced several shortcomings, e.g., remaining inconsistencies and a lack of patterns for several steganography domains.
As the consortium who published the previous studies on steganography patterns, we present the first comprehensive pattern-based taxonomy tailored to fit all known domains of steganography, including smaller and emerging areas, such as filesystem, IoT/CPS, and AI/ML steganography. To make our contribution more effective and promote the use of the taxonomy to advance research, we also provide a unified description method joint with a thorough tutorial on its utilization
