The Victorious Youth Double Dilemma: From Heritage Networks to Origin and Back
This paper investigates the multifaceted journey of the Statue of Victorious Youth, an extraordinary Hellenistic bronze sculpture with a contested modern legacy. The study adopts an interdisciplinary approach, combining art historical and archaeological analysis with private international law to explore both the statue’s origins and the complex legal disputes surrounding its ownership. Central to the analysis is the dual challenge of reconciling the legal doctrines of lex originis—the law of cultural origin—and lex rei sitae—the law of location—highlighting a “double dilemma” between juridical frameworks and evolving cultural-historical understandings. The research critically examines recent landmark rulings, especially the European Court of Human Rights decision affirming Italy’s claim, while engaging with current archaeological scholarship that advocates moving beyond fixed cultural containers toward a networked view of heritage. The paper underscores the need for nuanced, ethically grounded legal policies that respect the interconnected nature of ancient material culture, and it outlines the implications of these insights for heritage management, restitution processes, and museum ethics in a globalized world
The Effects of Personality Type and Learning Style on Students’ Learning Achievement: Higher Education Case Study
Every learner has a distinct set of preferences that affect how they absorb new information. Some researchers argue that teaching tailored to each student’s unique learning style yields better learning outcomes. However, these claims are not sufficiently supported by research data. The inconsistency of findings and the lack of consensus on this issue motivate us to conduct this experimental study. This study aimed to investigate whether there is a correlation between learning style, personality traits, and student achievement. Participants were 54 students from the Faculty of Computer Science and Engineering, St. Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje, RN. Macedonia. The research followed a quantitative research approach. The VARK and TIPI questionnaires are used to measure students’ learning styles and personality traits, respectively. The results of these instruments are analyzed, and the correlational analysis with the students’ learning outcomes (measured through the final exam) is conducted. The results show that there is no statistically significant effect of personality type on learning style on student performance, either when the analyses are carried out independently or in combination

Culture in Education: Needs and Perspectives
The aim of this paper is to examine the complex relationship between culture and education from a sociological perspective. The analysis is
grounded in a theoretical framework that considers education as both a cultural
process and a means of shaping social integration. By applying this sociological
lens, the paper investigates how cultural diversity, structural constraints, and
pedagogical practices influence educational equity and inclusiveness.
The findings suggest that while cultural diversity enriches educational environments, it also generates challenges such as inequities, structural limitations,
and gaps in pedagogical approaches. Addressing these issues requires strategies
that promote intercultural dialogue, critical thinking, and social cohesion. The paper highlights models of practice that demonstrate the potential of education to
foster both individual development and collective well-being.
In doing so, it contributes to a deeper understanding of how education can
effectively respond to cultural realities and points to the key implications for creating inclusive and transformative learning environments

The most frequent subjective complaints of pregnant women regarding their periodontal health
The periodontal status is one of the most important segments of oral health during pregnancy. Based on the possible connection between pregnancy and periodontal health, as
well as the large number of complaints by pregnant women about their periodontal health, the main goal of this investigation was set - to assess the subjective complaints related to periodontal conditions among pregnant women. To fulfill the goal of the research, an anonymous survey on 40 pregnant women was conducted. Based on the processed data, most of the subjects complained of gum-bleeding during brushing teeth and fetor ex ore, as well as dental hypersensitivity. More than half pregnant women with gingival bleeding during brushing is a worrying factor, considering that the subjects belong to the relatively young population.
This further highlights the importance of planning, creating and implementing an appropriatepreventive program and education of pregnant women to improve their oral health

Bioaccumulation and translocation of arsenic and cadmium in soybean
This study evaluates the capacity of four soybean varieties, Avigea, Balkan, Ilindenka, and Pavlikeni, to uptake Cd and As from soil and translocate them in different plant parts. Soil samples were analyzed for physicochemical properties, total and available element content. In soybean plants, element concentrations were measured in roots, shoots, leaves, seeds, and pods using ICP-MS. The bioconcentration (BCF) and translocation factor (BTF) were calculated to assess the potential of bioaccumulation. Results showed that all varieties accumulated metals mainly in roots and leaves, while seeds and pods contained minimal concentrations. The Avigea variety demonstrated the highest ability to uptake and translocate Cd, particularly in leaves. All varieties exhibited BCF > 1 for As in root, shoot, and leaf tissues, indicating their capacity to uptake this element despite its low bioavailability in soil. However, the content of As in the seed remained low and poses no threat to human and animal health.
Key words: soybean, arsenic, bioaccumulation, translocation, ICP-MS
