    Get PDF
Transition of the Linear model to Circular is a concept for keeping materials in Use. But modern “Fast fashion” is based on the principle: buy, use, throw away. Today we need to use the textile waste as a Resource. That means redirecting Consumer Thinking. The question is: "Do we want to be remembered as the people who lived in the era of waste and did nothing to change it?" The fact is undeniable - we need a restart! Keep materials in use with practical examples

Корпоративна казнена одговорност во Македонија - судска и правно-политичка перспектива

    Get PDF

Levothyroxine dose according to body weight in patients with severe subclinical hypothyroidism

    Get PDF
Introduction: The dosage of levothyroxine can be determined based on a patient's weight and is estimated to be 1.6 to 2.1 mcg/kg/day for primary hypothyroidism. This study aimed to determine the mean weight-based dose of thyroxine in patients with severe subclinical hypothyroidism. Methods: Patients with TSH values between 10 and 20 mIU/mL and normal fT4 levels who achieved euthyroid status were retrospectively analyses. A total of 51 patients were included in the study. Results: The mean age was 58.11 ±17.4 years, and the mean weight was 74.78±15.9 kg. Females were 86%. The mean dose of levothyroxine to achieve euthyroid status was 72.40 ± 25.5 mcg/day, or 0.996± 0.35 mcg/kg/day. The mean TSH level after treatment was 2.621±1.22 mU/L. Age, gender, height, and disease duration did not impact achieving a euthyroid state (p>0.05). Conclusion: Determining the correct levothyroxine dosage involves more than a simple weight-based calculation. However, understanding the mean dose relative to weight allows healthcare providers to better tailor therapy to individual patient needs, improving outcomes, minimizing frequent visits, and reducing the risk of under- or over-treatment. Keywords. Subclinical hypothyroidism, weight-based calculation, levothyroxine

    Get PDF
Digital innovations are proliferating throughout society and becoming a larger part of human life. It is difficult to conceive of an aspect of human behavior that is not being affected by digital technology. The recognized impacts are the apparent lack of digital literacy and lack of awareness of ethical conduct regarding artificial intelligence (AI) in teachers, which can be limitations for teaching and learning in a digital environment. This project aims to raise teachers' awareness of ethical conduct as it relates to AI and the broader digital landscape to help teachers amplify their digital literacy skills to improve the success of learning and support students' appropriate usage of technology. The first step in this study is to assess and investigate the use of AI practices to enhance high school teachers' digital literacy skills. The paper then discuss the important role that AI digital images play in enhancing high school teacher performance. Also followed by an embedded smart device as the arrangement in structuring a framework based on smart categorization and methods based on the Framework of Educational Learning Outcomes (FOLR). The purpose of this Framework is to assess and compare the digital literacy and teaching performance of high school teachers to classification methods like support vector machines (SVM) and decision tree. The data shows that the SVM method achieved 78% accuracy on identifying teacher digital literacy skills after 600 round of the method while the FOLR method achieved 81%. Meanwhile, the geographic complexity of the SVM-oriented and FOLR-based smart literacy enhancement algorithms are calculated to be 45 and 22, respectively. Particularly, with more rounds, the FOLR method achieves improved accuracy and lower geographical complication in measuring teachers' pedagogical digital literacy skills. As a result, the application of AI techniques is extremely successful in improving digital imaging innovation and improving the performance of image identification in academic training

    Get PDF
In modern technological and industrial development, the application of electronics in measuring, processing, storing and transferring process data in industrial facilities is increasing. In this processing of process parameters, it is essential that users have timely and accurate information about the measurement data in their industrial complex. Modern electronic systems provide the ability to process and store measurement data on-site and transfer it to the IoT and GSM network. On the other hand, the application of sophisticated electronic systems is noticeable not only in power plants, but also in healthy and quality food industries, such as agriculture. We witness daily tribunes and panel discussions sponsored by companies and even governments for the introduction of the terminology of digital agriculture, i.e. the introduction of smart electronic solutions in agriculture. In addition to the commitment to so-called green energy, i.e. obtaining energy from renewable sources, the development of digitization in agriculture is an area in which an enormous application of smart electronic systems is expected in the future. Guided by these reasons, in this paper an electronic system is designed that provides a solution to a problem in hydro melioration system, i.e. the development, design and practical implementation of the Smart electronic system which enables the measurement of the process parameters of an agro-industrial facility and their transfer to the GSM SIM network. The solution enables the visualization of process parameters locally on LCD displays and remotely on an mobile device in GSM SIM network. A data log file is also provided for store the value on the process parameters on a local computer

This article presents the development and improvement of mathematical models for fiber paths using filament winding technology (FW) for composite parts. The accuracy of these models was verified through simulations and experimental testing of manufactured composite symmetrical samples. The fiber winding angle was considered an influential factor for precise model creation. Symmetrical composite samples were produced using these models, with different winding angles (10°, 60°) and combinations of angles. All samples were laboratory tested for hoop tensile strength to meet quality requirements for composite pipes. The analysis of the results provided conclusions about the behavior of composite samples according to the predicted models. This research has significant applications in various industries, including space, aerospace, automotive, military, and marine. Keywords - Mathematical models, Simulations, Filament Winding Technology, Winding angle, Symmetrical Composite
