Integrasi Program Dakwah dan Budaya: Studi Etnografi Virtual Mediamorfosis Radio Nada FM Sumenep Madura
This article examines how the pattern of mediamorfosis of Nada FM Radio Sumenep, particularly in regard to the integration between Islamic preaching programs and Madura cultural programs as well as the form of interaction between listeners and radio institutions within a networked society. This article resulted from qualitative research using virtual ethnography. The findings revealed that the pattern of mediamorfosis using streaming, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and WhatsApp. Second, making the program aimed at strengthening Islamic religious beliefs while maintaining Madura culture. Third, connectivity in a networked society makes the communication of the parties equal, intimate and open to the public. Forth, listeners prefer to use WhatsApp to express criticism, including with regard to the suitability of the da'wah theme and the choice of social media
Kontestasi dan Survivalisme Media Dakwah di Tengah Liberalisasi Industri Media: Analisis Media TV-9 Jawa Timur
Local television has faced sharp contestation and interplay between actors and agents. As a proselytising TV, TV-9 has faced a dilemma between social functions and corporate functions. In this regard, as a da'wah media, it tends to uphold the religious social mission, while as a corporate media it is required to make a profit. This article is a critical study of how the contestation took place and how the survival of TV-9. The results of this study indicate that TV-9 has developed the concept of entertained da'wah in overcoming the contestation, namely da'wah as substance, while entertainment as the complement of the TV program. Additionally, TV-9 also tried to resonate the da'wah strategy with the cultural paths of the past and present that have existed within society
Geneologi dan Transformasi Keilmuan Dakwah
This study aims to describe the direction of the development of Da'wah science developed by the Faculty of Da'wah and Communication of UIN Sunan Ampel Surabaya. This research uses a qualitative approach. Data collected through interviews and documentation. Data analysis techniques using the flow model stages. The results showed that the development of da'wah that occurred at the Faculty of Da'wah and Communication of UIN Sunan Ampel Surabaya was carried out through a system approach, which was centered on the study of da'wah elements and represented in the area of interest in the KPI Study Program as the basis for the development of Da'wah science that manifested in the study area at the BKI, MD, and PMI Study Program. However, the development of da'wah scholarship was also developed through other disciplines (interdisciplinary) when studying the phenomenon of da'wah
Intensitas Bermedia Sosial dan Minat Muslim Urban Berhijrah: Analisis Followers Akun Instragram @Surabayahijrah
This study aims to measure the effect of the intensity of accessing Instagram account access @surabayahijrah on followers' interest to hijrah (individual muslim shifts towards a more religious way of life). This article is the result of a correlational quantitative study with the number of sample 100 followers of Instagram account @Surabayahijrah who live in Surabaya. The results have shown that r squared is 0.1186 which means that there was an influence of Instagram account access @ surabayaahijrah of 11.86% on the interest of hijrah and the rest was another factor outside of the research about 88.14%. Partial test results (t) also indicated that the t-value of 2.066> t-value of 1.667, which means that there was an influence of partial access to the account @surabayahijrah with a significance value of 0.041 which is less than the specified significance value of 0.1
Dakwah Politik dalam Paradigma Simbiotik
This paper examines the relationship between da'wah and politics based on a symbiotic paradigm. Through a historical-critical approach, this paper found that the relationship between da'wah and politics has an inseparable relationship. Historically, the Prophet Muhammad and the Muslim scholars have practised a symbiotic pattern of political da'wah. In this context, da'wah conducted within the frame of idealism, which is to spread the goodness of religious teachings. In this regard, various benefits and goodness for the community and get the pleasure of God. Furthermore, political propaganda emphasizes balance and benefit for the people. Therefore, propaganda and political symbiosis, at a certain level, have given room for the development of democracy. In this regard, it is necessary to have a proselytising management approach
Tradisi Ulak Manah dan Komunikasi Transendental: Studi Masyarakat Muslim Pedalaman Ulu Kapuas
This article discusses the transcendental communication of the Ulu Kapuas Muslim community, which is represented in the oral tradition of Ulak Manah. Through a descriptive qualitative method that focuses on analyzing the story of the Umung Putri Raja and the Shaman Agreement with the crocodile king, this study found that the Ulu Kapuas Muslim community believed that there was a familial relationship between humans and descendants of crocodiles. This tradition is manifested in the tradition of buang-buang, maintaining relationships and descent, as well as reminding of promises owed. Preservation of these traditions forms transcendental communication between human descendants and crocodile offspring in Ulak Manah
Jurnalisme Islam di Tengah Transformasi Jurnalistik Digital
This article discusses the concept of Islamic journalism as an alternative to negative journalistic practices as a result of media digitalization which is marked by the birth of the internet, such as the practice of "cloning journalism", journalistic practices that prioritize sensation rather than presenting the truth, and so forth. The phenomenon of digital transformation has forced the mass media, especially print media to provide digital versions of information of the most public's increasing interest. This article believes that Islamic journalism enriches the Journalistic Code of Ethics, such as honesty, fairness, standing for the truth, and perseverance to innovate. Hence, Islamic journalism is able to be a new perspective and a solution in the midst of community uncertainty in sorting out correct and accountable information
Tren Kajian Komunikasi Islam di Indonesia
This article discusses trends in the study of da'wah, specifically communication and Islamic broadcasting, which are discussed in scientific journals. This study uses a literature study approach to 11 journals published by the Islamic Communication and Broadcast Study Program in Indonesia. 581 articles were determined to be the subject of research. Each article is mapped based on (1) the theme and subject of the study, (2) the data collection method, (3) the approach or theory used, (4) the reference source used. The results of the data analysis showed that most of the articles with the theme 'Da'wah' from various platforms of various research subjects. This study opens a new paradigm in communication in general. This is marked by the enrichment of communication and broadcast theories through research in da'wah studies
Prinsip Komunikasi Islam dalam Novel Para Pencari Keadilan
The primary purpose of communication is to change the mindset of humans or spreading influence on one's beliefs, whether in the religious, political, social to the business. This article discusses how the principles of Islamic communication are presented in the character of Rumondang Siregar as the main character in the novel Para Pencari Keadilan. Using a descriptive qualitative design, the study has found that the main character of the novel, Rumondang, is able to influence other figures to embrace Islam. This is represented by inserting Islamic values in each paragraph of the novel and dialogue that uses the principles of Islamic communication, namely qaulan maysura, qaulan karina, qaulan layina, and qaulan ma’rufa
Da’i dan Pemanfaatan Instagram: Tantangan Moderasi Dakwah di Era Digital
This article discusses the use of social media, especially Instagram, in proselytising activities by preachers in Indonesia and examines Islamic discourse uploaded by native digital preacher, Felix Siauw. Using Teun A. Van Djik's discourse analysis, this study shows that Instagram is one of the social media used by Islamic preachers from native digital generation. In addition, the message of da'wah delivered by Ustadz Felix seems to negate the moderation of da'wah that can threaten the unity and integrity of the nation. Thus, this study recommends that preachers from digital immigrant groups should be actively involved in social media as an effort to develop moderate Islamic da'wah.
