In industry, manual lifting activities certainly involve muscles and generate risks if done improperly. There are problems in the form of complaints from industrial workers on manual lifting activities that are carried out in a less ergonomic manner. This study aims to determine the effect of lifting factor variables on the resulting level of muscle activation. In this case, three factors are used, namely the lifting method factor, the horizontal distance factor, and the vertical distance factor, each of which has two factor levels to produce eight combinations of lifting factors. Randomization was carried out on research subjects totalling 10 people. Previous research that has been done manually is by calculating the pulse resulting from a lifting activity according to a specified frequency. In this study, monitoring of muscle activity was carried out automatically using an instrument called Electromyography (EMG) at three points of the hand muscles, namely the biceps brachii muscle, triceps brachii muscle, and brachioradialis muscle. The results of this study indicate the best combination based on the value of muscle activation on the biceps brachii muscle, triceps brachii muscle, and brachioradialis muscle which respectively include combination 2 (M1-H2-V1) with a significance value of 0.002, combination 6 (M2-H2 -V1) with a significance value of 0.000 and combination 2 (M1-H2-V1) with a significance value of 0.013. The resulting combination of the best lifting factors can be used as a reference and recommendations for the ideal lifting posture and conditions for workers in minimizing possible injurie

This study aims to understand the supply chain strategy of pharmaceutical companies, logistics drivers (facilities, inventory, and transportation), and cross-functional drivers (information, sources, and prices), as well as the problem of placing safety stock for assembly, using an integer linear approximation program using CPLEX to get the results and perform a sensitivity analysis. In this way, the effect of various parameters on total safety stock and service time can be estimated. Pharmaceutical companies can find strategic ways to align their goals with this method. The company already has an optimal supply chain focused on product quality, short response times, and product availability. In addition, it can minimize the total cost of safety inventory by using a piecewise linearization approach with a total assembly cost of Rp. 6,161,120,000, where safety stock is stored in stages 2-4, 7-14, 16, and 22, where 22 has the highest stage costs. Then a sensitivity analysis is carried out by allowing the parameters to vary, the more segments' total cost becomes stable. Furthermore, the relationship between the factors of safety, storage costs, and standard deviation is linear

Work fatigue is an important problem that must be handled properly because it can cause various problems, as fatigue is a major cause of work-related injuries and impacts productivity. Measure the level of fatigue of these workers will be carried out using the Fatigue Assessment Scale (FAS), a subjective fatigue measurement tool based on a questionnaire that is most appropriate for measuring the level of fatigue in workers. FAS has been rated as very reliable for measuring worker fatigue. The FAS consists of 10 questions examining physical and mental fatigue and their impact on activity motivation. If fatigue is not paid attention to, it will have an impact not only on the company but also on the workers themselves, ranging from causing work accidents to illnesses. Based on the calculations that have been done for the average answer to the Fatigue Assessment Scale (FAS) questionnaire, in this case, the highest average holder has represented physical and mental fatigue, number 4 represents physical fatigue, and number 10 represents mental fatigue. and based on the calculation results in the Likert scale, which gets an index of 97.7%, this indicates that for the level of fatigue itself, PT. Indonesia Power Priok POMU can be categorized as Very Good. Do not experience excessive work fatigue, and the workload does not exceed the workers' capabilitie

Abstract In this era of globalization, the competition in the automotive industry is getting more challenging, and consumer demands are also continually increasing. This is what encourages the automotive industry to make products as perfect as possible, one of which is minimizing the level of defects in their production lines. By reducing defects, the process will flow faster without going through the repair process. But in actuality, there are still defects found in the poses of its production. This research was conducted in the welding process in the automotive industry. This paper aims to identify defects in the welding production process in the automotive industry. Then analyze the most dominant defect, find the root cause, and improve. This study uses the PDCA cycle method. The PDCA cycle is a continuous improvement model consisting of four sequential components, Plan, Do, Check, and Action. The results of this study identified five major defects in the welding process: hole nut not centered, dents, NG stud bolts, NG parts, and non-stick spots. The average defect per month is 110 defects, and the dominant defect is the non-centered nut hole of 63.8 defects (58%). The root cause is when the part setting stopper position is unstable. The improvement made is adding a locator pin cylinder hole nut to stabilize the position. The results of this improvement can reduce welding defects to 58.5 defects per month, and the average defect hole nut is not centered by 3.5 defects (6%). So the PDCA cycle is very effective in efforts to improve product quality. ย  Keyword : PDCA, Plan-Do-Check-Action, continuous improvement, kaizen, defects

The projected decrease inspired this research in Afdhol MSMEs' consumer base in 2020. This study's objectives were to determine the pattern of product brand transfer for Nasional Afdhol (SNA) and predict the market share and price of prayer cap products. This study was undertaken at the SNA in Bungah District, Gresik Regency. With a population of 415 people and a required sample size of 204 persons, the required data consists of a questionnaire containing questions concerning prayer cap brand items used in the past and prayer cap brand products used presently. There are three competing prayer cap brands: Nasional ONH, Pendopo, and Nasional Gapuro Bungah. During the pandemic, it has decreased drastically by almost 70% until the last two years, so the problem that can be formulated was SNA has never evaluated the market, so competitors have never been taken into account for their role, which may affect the market share, and how consumers behave in their role in choosing which songkok to buy. By calculating using the Markov chain, the pattern of songkok purchase movement made by consumers in the 4 songkok brands can be analyzed so that SNA canplan marketing strategies to increase sales and their expected values. Data processing was performed using Rantai Markov, beginning with projecting market share using three strategies. The first strategy was without decreasing or raising prices. The second strategy was reducing the price of Rp. 5,000.00, and the third strategy was increasing the price of Rp. The calculation results yielded the greatest market share value. A formulated strategy was to cut the price of Rp. 5,000.00 by 42.65% with a probability value of 0.4265 under a steady-state condition of 0.4714 with a profit of Rp. 1,137,636. The strategy to obtain maximum expectation values has the consequence of enlarging its customer base
