Profile and Motivation of Entrepreneur Women in North Borneo, Indonesia
This study aimed to describe the profile of entrepreneurship and motivation of female entrepreneurs and employees in North Borneo. The study of the behavior of entrepreneurs was developed in different perspectives: the economic perspective, the perspective of psychology, and sociology perspective. This study used primary data obtained using the survey method. A number of 300 questionnaires was distributed (with the response rate of 95%) in North Borneo. The questionnaires were distributed in five regions i.e. Tarakan city, Bulungan district, Malinau district, Tana Tidung district and Nunukan district. In this study, the Manifest Needs Questionnaire (MNQ) developed by Indarti and Wulandaru (2003) was used. This instrument was used to measure four respondents needs: the need for achievement, need for affiliation, need for autonomy and the need for domination. Based on statistical analysis, this research proved that women entrepreneurs were more motivated by the need for a higher performance than the female employees in North Borneo. In term of the need for affiliation, no evidence that women entrepreneur was more motivated than female employee. The results also showed that women entrepreneurs were more motivated by the need for higher autonomy than female employees as well as for the need for higher predominance
Pendekatan Konseptual Lean Agile untuk Perbaikan Sistem Produksi pada Perusahaan Konveksi (Studi Kasus CV. XYZ)
This study discusses the proposed improvements to the production system using lean agile supply chain approach. In the middle’s company, one of which is the problem that the turnaround time is too long or waiting waste and defect waste. Under the existing conditions, the company's production system to improve production speed in response to rapid changes in consumer interest and improve product quality. There are 3 stages used in the Lean Agile approach that are phase planning, execution, and delivery. The data obtained from the company necessary, through observation, and through direct measurement. Based on the research that has been made known that there are four kinds of defects that are CTQ (Critical to Quality), four types of defects are defects hollow, fibrous defect, defect loose stitches, and gross defects / stains. In the planning process we already know what the model variant is desired by consumers is a model school crest motif symbol, foundations, public, and school patron, besides the application of a pull system and didapti empowerment of teams who want to make changes repairs.Proposed improvements are the main target of this research, which at this stage 5S approach work attitude, the manufacture of tools to support performance changes, as inputting the manufacture of flexible software, and implementation of design improvements that have been made into the main ingredients in providing a solution to improve the speed work and minimize the occurrence of defects in order to improve quality
Model Integrasi Sistem Produksi Multi Suplier Single Buyer Pada Sistem Just In Time
This research will discuss the integration of two suppliers single buyer in a Just In Time (JIT) environment. Supplier transform raw materials into semi-finished goods or components with a constant production rate. Buyer change of supplier components into a finished product with a constant production rate. Order quantity of the buyer are few innumber.If suppliers produce according to the buyerorder quantity, the expensive setup costs, then the supplier will produce the specified lot size to be sent multiple times to the buyer. The purpose of this research is to minimize the total joint inventory cost between suppliers and buyer, which includes setup cost and holding cost of the two supliers and order cost and holding cost of the buyer. The decision variables are theproduction lot and the number of deliveries in a single production lot both of supplier 1 and supplier 2. Numerical example and sensitivity analysis will be given in this research
Minimalisasi Ongkos Unit Produksi dengan Otomatisasi Proses Operasi
Companies are required to meet consumers need with limited capacity and capability of the company. In addition to limited capital, adaptability of technology absorption into the barriers that have an impact on production activities. Material handling activities involving the removal, handling, storage and material control with tools, people or machines. One of the main objectives are to reduce the production cost units through simplification, combination, shortening or eliminating unnecessary process. Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) can be applied to the production process activities (automation), including material handling to make it more efficient and effective so as to reduce the production time. This study consists of several stages, namely stages of identification, data collection and processing analysis and conclusion. the principle of the use of material handling equipment including the planning principle, the principle of standardization, working principle, ergonomic principles, and the principles of automation. This research aims to minimize the cost of the material handling control system using PLC. Some of the data used in the study is the operation process chart, routing sheet, average production time, material removal capacity and frequency, number of employees, the cost of labor, hours of work and rectilinier method used to determine the distance between facilities. The results showed a production unit with process automation (PLC) in material handling Rp. 5.99,- per meter, while production unit using manual labor (human) issued Rp. 8.42,- per meter
Analisis SWOT Terhadap Strategi Pemasaran Layanan SAP Express pada PT. SAP
The purpose of the study is to determine the internal factors (IFAS) and external factors (EFAS) and a marketing strategy by using SWOT method. The observation and interviews are applied to solve the existing problems and to improve marketing strategies in PT SAP. In order to determine a marketing strategy, the company: (a) put through questionnaires with the statement that has been made from observations and interviews and get 24 statements to all factors, (b) calculate the results of SWOT analysis in order to get score on a quantitative strategy planning matrix combination. The results show that the marketing strategy should be implemented at the company are: to take advantage of its strategic location, has its own building to get potential customers, providing an affordable price, to establish good relations with partners, as well as adding branches
Desain Rute Pelayaran Sistem Hub and Spoke (Studi Kasus: Wilayah Papua, Indonesia)
Currenctly Indonesia’s government policy is focusing on designing its marine transportation and port development for logistics distribution in Indonesia to take advantage of the sea lanes. This maritime transportation concept that called sea highway is a strategy to improve connectivity and revitalize national logistic system thoroughly, in the form of organizing a scheduled big vessel regularly from western to eastern Indonesia and vice versa. One of the route is a sea highway towards Papua. This route starts from the port of Tanjung Perak that carry goods to be distributed to other ports, including the port of Manokwari (Papua). Distribution of goods in Papua region is largely use airlines and some use the sea transport. The distribution pattern by ship in Papua using "point to point" pattern . This pattern of distribution is sending goods from one point to another without regard to the overall network shipping, causing the logistics’ cost to be expensive due to the inequality in the distribution. The purpose of this study is to design the sea shippingnetworkfor distribution of goods in Papua with the distribution pattern of "hub and spoke". The design of this sea shipping network using 11 ports comprising 3 hub ports and 8 feeder ports in Papua. This study resulted routes that can deliver the goods from hub port to the spokes and vice versa with optimal total distance and cost. The design of routes using a Genetic Algorithm with the help of software Matlab in order to produce either an optimal hub and spoke and a minimum cost for its network
Analisis SWOT Obat Batuk Prospan pada PT. Soho Global Health
This study discusses the importance of a swot analysis process that addressed the issue of the power of factors that influence the success of PT. SOHO Global Health seen from the internal factors of strength, of products containing the active ingredient herbal extract of ivy leaves, supported by many clinical studies, and a good corporate image in the market the medicines made from herbs. Internal factors drawback is the absence of packing tablets / capsules, the price premium relative and physician confidence will naturally medicines (herbal) is still weak. External factors are the chances of the market (consumers) began actively searching for safe medications are made from herbs and herbal remedies have not been many outstanding with reputable pharmacy. The external factor is the threat of an active promotional activities of competitors (competitors) and drugs made from chemicals ekpektoran already widely available in Indonesia. The results of the research process SWOT analysis in PT. SOHO Global Health explained that the product is at a stage prospan Oriented Growth Opportunities Strategy to 1.77 and power of 2:08. The figure is good enough where the company has the power so that it can take advantage of the opportunities that existed until the company can grow well and be able to market the product Prospan ekpektoran drug market in Indonesia. the conclusions obtained from this study are as follows: the validity of the test results with SPSS 16 software of all respondents who researched many as 30 of the 14 indicators revealed a 100% valid, proving that r count is greater than r table. Data obtained above Cronbach alpha of 0.80 is equal to 0, 893 then the data is said to be unreliable (good)
Pengembangan Sistem Operasional Downstream Logistics dengan Modifikasi P1R2
Inaccuracy implementation of downstream logistics (DL, distribution) may decrease product quality. Quality decreament may happen due to product damange during distribution process, either duringloading-on and loading-off process, or during transportation process. Rejection product by the consumer due to quality mismatch may cause losses and non-valued added logistics activities. Integrated sistem approach for DL is proposed to minimize product damange during DL without compromising service level (SL) on the consumer. This paper describes the steps to improve DL’s operational activitiesusing management approach and modification of P1R2 algorithm (Packing First Routing Second). The final result and managerial implications of the process is formed in proposed Work Instruction (IK). The implementation of this improvement process is described using plastic furniture distribution study case of PT. X. As a result, 3 IK are produced. In addition, it is shown that proposed method can minimize non-value added logistics activities and reduce cost

The primary purpose of this paper is to investigate the determinants of consumer purchase intention in online shop Instagram. 200 respondents were participated in this research. Data was collected using a survey method and analyzed using structural equation model AMOS 24. Result of natural experiment indicates that only satisfied customers will have intention to buy online products through Instagram

Stages of designing the layout of the manufacturing cell involves three steps: (1) the cells formation, (2) designing the layout of the intracellular and (3) designing the layout of intercellular. This study made a model of cell formation. At this stage of cell formation, the criteria to be considered are the cost of an additional investment of machinery, material handling costs intracellular, intercellular material handling costs, cost of work in process and penalty fees under the machine utilization. Intracellular layout design stage, the criteria to be considered is the cost of work-in-process. While the design stage layout intercellular consider the cost of work-in-process. The performance of the layout of the cells was evaluated using a numerical example
