Percezione di responsabilità e ruoli apicali
The theme of the medical and health responsibility is always very topical because never fully solved; the present work is going to illustrate the regulatory evolution in the last five years.Il tema della responsabilità medica e sanitaria è sempre di grande attualità in quanto mai pienamente risolto; il presente lavoro intende illustrare l’evoluzione normativa dell’ultimo quinquennio

Non-metric unfolding on augmented data matrix: a copula-based approach
Unfolding applies multidimensional scaling to an off-diagonal nxm matrix, representing the scores (or the rank) assigned to a set of m items by n individuals or judges. The goal is to obtain two configurations of points representing the position of the judges and the items in a reduced geometrical space. Each point, representing each individual, is considered as an ideal point so that its distances to the object points correspond to the preference scores. Unfolding can be seen as a special case of multidimensional scaling because the off-diagonal matrix is considered as a block of an ideal distance matrix in which both the within judges and the within items dissimilarities are missing. The presence of blocks of missing data causes the phenomenon of the so-called degenerate solutions. To tackle the problem, several methods have been proposed. By following a previous approach, we adopt the strategy of augmenting the data matrix, trying to build a complete dissimilarity matrix, and then applying any MDS algorithms. In order to augment the data matrix, we use copulas-based association. Both experimental evaluations and applications to well-known real data sets show that the proposed strategy produces non-degenerate non-metric unfolding solutions.14-16 December 201
Successfully managing SMEs collaborations with public research institutes: the case of ITER fusion projects
This work investigates the obstacles that arise in the collaboration between Public Research Institutes (PRIs) and Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs), when they are involved in Big Science projects. PRIs are valuable scientific partners for industry and even more for SMEs. However, sometimes the collaboration with PRI is not as profitable as expected and the existing literature often focuses on university as scientific partners, without studing the peculiarities of PRIs. Specifically, the setting of our study is the collaboration between the Italian National Agency for New Technologies, Energy and Sustainable Economic Development (ENEA) and three SMEs, all involved in the ITER project (i.e., the main Big Science project in the field of nuclear fusion reaction). Thanks to an explorative multiple case study, our work enriches the evidence about the technology transfer practices by considering the entire process of collaboration (i.e., pre-transfer, development, post-transfer) and it suggests that the obstacles and the consequent solutions should be analysed according to the different phases of the process itself. Moreover, from a practical point of view, we illustrate how to shape some managerial levers in order to overcome the obstacles in the different phases of the collaboration process, for example adopting tools or practices such as roadmaps or exchange of personnel
Market reactions to ECB policy innovations: a cross-country analysis
Regulators have been paying increasing attention to governing and steering market fluctuations, with their role in shaping the economic cycle being ever more crucial. The combined effect of the financial and sovereign debt crises, as well as the approach to the zero lower bound, has made actions even more pressing, forcing the European Central Bank to resort to unconventional instruments to revive the economies and counter deflationary pressures. By using a combined event study and panel regression methodology, we investigate whether European Monetary Union equity markets react heterogeneously to standard and non-standard European Central Bank policy innovations. Our results show that conventional policies unevenly affect financial indices in the Eurozone and, hence, are bound to generate asymmetries that reflect on real economies, while unconventional measures, albeit with different intensities, exercise a homogeneous pressure on all markets. Our evidence highlights the beneficial impact of unconventional measures and suggests that they can play a useful role even in non-crisis times
Lecture notes in information systems and organisation
Firms living in a digital disrupting world should continuously understand variables from inside and outside the organization and consequently act efficiently and effectively. This study aims at investigating the role of innovative digital tools to manipulate big data in transforming managers and executives activities, in particular their sense-making (how they interpret data) and decision-making (who is using data and to what extent). A qualitative methodology has been selected to explore how organizations use Business Intelligence (BI)/Data Visualization (DV) tools. A multiple case study approach has been adopted and interviews have been carried in companies belonging to different industries, to investigate how the decision-making process has changed and which benefits and issues have emerged from the use of BI/DV tools. Data collected have been analyzed using the most recent version of Nvivo and within-case and cross-cases analysis have been carried out. The paper suggests four types of roles that BI/DV tools can play, related to a set of organizational characteristics (such as innovation rate of the firm or level of customization of the solution) and provides guidelines for future adoption of these tools
