AGENCY PROBLEM PADA SAAT RIGHT ISSUE
Agency Problem is a potential confict interest between shareholders and manag- ers. Managers are agents of shareholders, they will take corporate actions that maximize their own utility, such as right issue, they made a right issue announce- ment because they require much money to make an investment or to expand the firm. These actions will not necessarily be consistent with firm value maximization. The shareholders want the fund to be paid as dividends. Theoretically, right issue announcement will be met with a negative shareholders reaction, which mean the stock price will decrease after the announcement of rightissue. The objective of this research is to verify empirically the existence of agency problem when right issue announcement. This research examines 63 firms that made right issue announce- ment. In the other hand, this research also examines 20 firms from banking sector made right issue announcement in Jakarta Stock Exchange during 1998 to June 2001. The analysis method is using Market Model, that apply to estimate the stock performances are market return, stock return, beta, alpha, abnormal retum and cumulative abnormal retum. Overall, the results of this research indicate that agency problem haven\u27t happened when right issue announcement, because there are no significant differences statistically among cumulative abnomal retum before and after right issue announcement

This study examines a model of the relationship among source of competitive advantage and performance outcomes. Production and operation competency is considered as a source of advantage. This competency is definedas the sum of the performanca on some production and operation competitive items, weighted by importance and extent of responsibility. Relationship between this competency contructs with performance outcomes such as ROl andmarket share are analyzed. The questinnaere were sent to production and operation managers. The instrument is used from Vickery et al. (1993), Elitan (1998). Regression was used to analysis data. The result shows there are positive relationship between production and operation competency with ROl and market share
HUBUNGAN ANTARA KARAKTERISTIK PERUSAHAAN DENGAN IMPLIED COST OF CAPITAL PADA PERUSAHAAN DI INDONESIA
This study, proposes an altenative technique for estimating the cost of capital. Specifically, it use discounted residualincome model. The examine firms characteristic that are systemati- cally related to this estimate of cost of capital, it show that a firm\u27s cost of capital isa function of its long term Debt to Book Ratio (Ln D/B), Long Fim Size (Ln Size), Eaming Variability (Ln Ev) and Long Debt to Market Ratio (Ln D/M). These variables explain around 63% of the coss secional variaton in future implied costof capital. The findings suggest that they can be exploited to estimate future cost of capital in Indonesia
HUBUNGAN STRATEGI MANUFAKTUR DAN BUDAYA ORGANISASIONAL Suatu Studi Empiris Pada Perusahaan Manufaktur di Indonesia
This study investigates the possibility of a relationship between manufacturing strategy and organizational culture within manufacturing plants. Survey data were collected from 138 respondents in 16 plants. These plants included random samples of textile, beauty and pharmaceutical industries, which located in Jakarta, Bogor, Tangerang, and Bekasi areas. Al necessary data for this study were obtained from a questionnaire through a mail survey. The questionnaires were designed so that multiple respondents answered all perceptual ques- tions. The definition of manufacturing strategy in this study is primarily process-based, it does notinclude such content dimensions. Manufacturing strategy and organizational culture were found to exhibit a statistically significantrelationship within the plant. The analysis indicates that awell implementedmanufacturing strategy, which includes formal planning processes, com- munication of strategy, contribution to competitive position, and a long range orientation. It coexists with a dan oriented organizational cufture characterized by the use of groups and teams, low emphasis on hierarchy, and high level of loyalty and share plant-wide philosophy. This analysis suggests several implications regarding the manufacturing strategy process. First, itmay be necessary to involve mutiple decision makers at different organizational levels in the implementation of manufacturing strategy in order to help them to come up with the right decisions. PENGARUH LOYALITAS KEPADA SUPERVISOR (LOYALTY TO SUPERVISOR) TERHADAP KEPUASAN KERJA (JOB SATISFACTION) DAN INTENT TO STAY
This study investigates the effect of loyalty to supervisor and job satisfaction and intent to stay. Loyalty to supervisor explained variance two outcomes variable over and above thatexplained by organizational commitment. The hypotheses were tested with a sample of 225 empłoyees in Trisakti University. The results indicate that loyally to supervisor is positively effected to job satisfaction but negatively effected to intent to stay. The results suggested that, in Trisakti Unlversity, the supervisor is an important factor influencing employee attitudes at work

In an efficient market, the current price of the stocks have reflected public information so none of investor is able to afford an abnormal return. This paper suggests that to deliver high levels of customer satisfaction, organizations must identify, measure, and manage the internal elements that produce it. Intemal service quality (defined for this purpose as employee satisfaction with the service received from internal service providers) has received little attention in the empirical literature, yet intemal service quality remains complex, in part because its composition can vary for differentorganizations at different times. In short, which internal services are important, and how important their quality is, depends on an organization\u27s task and employee. Despite this variability, that intemal service quality has basic components important to most organizations. On this paper also explores the relationship between intenal service quality and job satisfaction, one important indication of an organization\u27s work environment. The study aims to prove that there are basic differences between man and woman in leadership which known in theory as transactional leadership and transformational leadership. PENGARUH PERFORMANCE QUALITY TERHADAP ORGANIZATIONAL COMMITMENT FRONTLINE EMPLOYEE
Performance quality of frontline employees is a very important aspect that needs hypothesis into consideration by service industry because they have direct contact with consumers. The level of quality performance of frontline employees can determine their level of commitment towards the company. The objective of this research is to identify the effect of performance quality to organizational commitment of frontline employees. Respondents being used for this research are frontline employees of private banks, namely tellers and customer services. Data is analyzed using Multiple Regression Analysis. The result of this research can provide implication for managers to maintain continous commitment from their frontline employees. Suggestion for further research is to conduct similar research on different service industries and other frontline employees
